Extremely effortless set-up, the attributes are exceptional, as effectively as USB 3.. Has built in graphics card for these that dont do any gaming, a lot of sata connections, HDMI, and excellent BIOS with numerous functions. I had my method up and running in a matter of minutes (new develop). None as of but, while I've only had the board a single week! Plenty of connections, built-in graphics, HDMI (with sound), Core unlocker worked with Phenom II X2 565 producing it an X4 B65 - :) No USB and NO LAN throughout stetup! Must install drivers very first - needs PS2 keyboard/mouse(!)ATi drivers triggered BSOD <ati2dvga> infinite loop message. Had to download older Catalyst ྪ.ten) to make challenge go away. Defective DVD made install extremely painful - finally, was able to go on the NET and downloaded drivers on-line. Not getting USB and LAN assistance in the course of setup is a massive pain. In this day and age that's not important. The ATI drivers dilemma is well documented on the ATI/AMD forums. Undesirable call on the portion of AMD not to address this with so quite a few users possessing to deal with the situation. Essentially, your program will randomly freeze and you'll get the BSOD listing the <ati2dvga> as causing and "infinite loop". On the AMD forum an individual suggested rolling back to version 10.ten - I did that and the dilemma went away, so far.Core unlocker worked appropriate away and the motherboard has a lot of connections, such as HDMI *with* audio. All in all a Very fantastic board, when you have gone by way of a extremely tedious time setting it up and dealing with the ATI drivers.

I really like this board if your interested in this board you need to get it or the giggabite a single that looks just like it, it has 99% very same point just like 1 additional pci slot and it had a single additional sata port and that's all i can recall, its about the exact same cost as this one particular if that helps. But this board is soo sweet, i enjoy it and it does every thing i require it to do plus more!! none

It is really really fairly. The chromed lettering is covered in plastic, so when you set it up it looks extremely sharp. Good blue theme going on, blue LEDs will match with it really nicely, if you're into that.Clear markings on the mobo about which DIMM slots to use. Though the manual is quite clear, there are also markings on the motherboard showing where the energy/hdd/etc plugs go, so you don't seriously even want the instructions. (Note: I haven't built a computer system in a long time, but even then every little thing was super easy.)Every piece of hardware was recognized by Windows 7 instantly except for the USB three. (drivers are on included disc, or very easily by way of ASUS web site) and some other non-critical device (can't recall, sorry). All 6 cores of the CPU had been immediately recognized, no settings necessary changed. The motherboard packaging is regular, and the NewEgg packing was enough, but the plastic retainer clip on the secondary PCI express slot was broken off when I received it. It's a non critical component and not even visible when installed, so I won't mark it down at all.I'm using the integrated video temporarily, so I tried plugging in a VGA plug. The VGA connection on the motherboard is not structurally supported adequate, so I ended up needing to switch to the DVI output instead. I would pretty much look at taking a half egg off for this, but most persons will be plugging in a video card or working with DVI anyway, so it's most likely not a large deal. For the integrated graphics, right after installing the ATI video driver (from the ASUS web page) I noticed a considerable improvement more than the default Windows 7 driver.I'm also working with this for virtualization, so: Utilizing eight GB of RAM and a 6 core 3.2GHz processor, VirtualBox has an OS loading time of less than ten seconds (to a slimmed down XP, particularly). The 8GB of RAM are G-Skill Ripjaws DDR3 1333, and you can easily overclock them, but it's a lot rapidly for now so I didn't bother.General a powerful motherboard from a specs view, a lovely board from an aesthetics view, and a moderately strong board from a structural view. A reasonable price for a effective board.

Installed all my components and elements and have a machine that is running, tested onboard video and it was functional, all the usb ports, e-sata, and firewire seem to function without concern. -1 egg for getting been unable to get any onboard sound other than via the hdmi port (which only outputs stereo), tried drivers from asus, default windows drivers, drivers from realtek and nothing at all i do gets me sound from any port, windows seems to assume the device is working appropriately and shows meter suggesting that sound should be coming out whichever port is assigned as the active device. don't know if the mobo is faulty, if it's a driver situation or a windows 7-64 dilemma. internet is not pointing me to a solid hypothesis since this seems to be a prevalent dilemma. fortunately I have a usb dac which has been delivering me stereo sound given that disabling onboard video to use my video card. I will be employing the stereo dac until I come up with a solution for sending out multi-channel audio for any property theater applications i may possibly choose to use. -1 egg for getting in a position to worry that there may be faulty hardware, or that I will have to wait for a driver that operates, or that I may possibly have to pay/wait for a soundcard which I can't afford

Will not boot with Essential Ballistix. I realise I could have purchased diverse RAM. Effectively I dont want to and on CJ's Planet it goes how I say it goes as long as I'm paying for it. This board is so finicky it will not take RAM that is not on the QVL and in my case did not even take the RAM that was listed on the QVL. BL25664TB1608 Causing me a large waste of my time. Pure trash dont even waste your time with this youll be sending it back and delayed on your project for weeks which I wasnt going to get into but I am now. I believe we must be able to sue for these variety of damages unless ASUS wants to come answer the phone for me and tell my buyers why this board does not operate as advertised!! Sent it back and ordered an MSI board for much better results. Certainly rediculous of just how picky this board is about RAM. For such a low end model it really should not be this picky about RAM. Disgusting Sickning

Can't seriously ask for a entire lot far more for the cost. It has a DVI,VGA, and HDMI. I can run all new games on medium to high setting with high textures. USB three. is nice for when it becomes the normal. Pretty well layed out. Supports many kinds of Ram and Processors. PCI Express x16 2.1 would be good but 2. is fine. If you want to save some income by possessing on board graphics this is the initial motherboard to choose.

Simple to install kit with tons of room for future upgrades. The kit itself works extremely properly, can multi activity easily. Dual monitors perform like a dream on this machine.AMD vs INTEL, you can't go wrong with AMD if your on a budget. Actually, there is NONE! Coupled this with the MSI 1gb cyclone OC graphics card and this point runs far better than most PCs double the price tag!Really impressed by Newegg's blazing rapid shipping.

The other motherboard runs fine, have had no difficulties with it(hopefully won't), the software package it comes with such as AIsuite is in fact incredibly helpful when I am gaming WITH ONBOARD GRAPHICS. It permits you to do cool points such as monitor your core temp and modify fan speeds! Did I mention onboard graphics! They fit a lot more than my expectations had been, they will Run games such as: Half life 2, Team Fortress 2, Darksiders(Moderately okay), Dawn of War I(Including expansions), and even WoW(Pretty nicely). The board went above and beyond certainly any expectation I had and this left me very impressed with Asus. There is a con, which, I can't drop eggs for due to the truth that I ought to know better than count on it to be able to run a rediculous game with crazy minimum requirements, which is Dawn of War II. But that is no massive deal, simply because soon with my HCFX I will be running anything on max with a great old ATI Radeon 5830 256-bit 1gb card. :) Antec Twelve hundred Series Full TowerAMD Phenom II x4 970 deneb edition 3.5ghz8 Gb DDR3 1333) Ripjaws( Which are excellent, gonna purchase more of thoseƛ TB Western Digital Black Tough DriveWindows 7 (:

Deffinitly a great option if your not seeking to use Crossfire X ( see cons ) two PCIe 2. slots (great) a single at x16 (great) one at x4 (bad) you wont be finding the complete effect of your second card.

General nice MB. Straightforward build for someone with restricted knowledge like me. Popped in all the elements and it fired proper up. Second construct with Asus boards and no problems with either one. Economical and dependable seems to be what ASUS stands for. I'll acquire their MB's once again The aluminum cover over the back pannel was terrible. For whatever cause that portion took me longer than putting all the elements in it. Newegg for President!

Super rapidly. Stable. USB 3.. CrossfireX assistance. I really like this board. Uncomplicated to setup and super quick. Dual channel wouldn't work. I put the ram in the incorrect slots at initially, but after switching to the suitable slots, and updating the BIOS, nevertheless wouldn't run in Dual Channel mode.Ran RAID 1 in Windows 7, but couldn't get the drivers loaded when installing Windows XP. I was working with a USB floppy drive. I could load the drivers at startup, but when Windows tried to "Copy setup files", it would just hang. Could've been the floppy drive, but either way it kept me from installing Windows XP with the RAID array. Great board. Extremely fast and stable. I've under no circumstances experienced the Dual Channel issue just before. I was certain updating the BIOS would've fixed it, but it didn't. Also the raid problem could've been a mixture of issues not related to the board itself. In the end, I love this board and would suggest it once more. It was Extremely Rapid and stable. Would've liked sata III, but not a huge loss.ASUS M4A88T-V EVO/USB3G.Skill Ripjaws Series 4GB ƒ x 2GB) DDR3 1600AMD Athlon II X4 640Samsung CD/DVD Burner SATA SH-S223CWD Caviar Black 1TB Sata 6gbpsWindows 7 Professional x64Cooler Master Elite RC-330 w/ 350W PSU

Choc full of good capabilities, especially the cpu unlocker which can simply save you a hundred dollars or far more depending on the CPU You choose, but your can read tech specs for all thatone particular that may well not be listed is the ability to use both the on-board and pci graphics processors concurrently for several monitorsThe layout is quite good, with most connectors and components spaced well enough for straightforward installoverclock is effortless to execute with profile based, auto balance or custom overclocks all easily accessible in the BIOS menus This robust mobo lost an egg for two factors: initially the mobo has sata II connections as an alternative of three, i hadn't realized this when i ordered it and kinda regretted it. on a board that had all the other up to date functions expected at this price tag point, the lack of that throughput is unacceptable.secondly the onboard sound was damaged when i was overclocking. this is my fault, but OC'ing is a trial-and-error method. you have to push it till it wont boot to get all you want out if it, and the southbridge dying in a standard series of overclocks is mediocre on a board that blatantly supports overclocksalso the case front panel connections are placed so that they would be directly below a pci card int the x4 slot this board has a counterpart without onboard video and with sata III connections for slightly less, and all in all i need to have gotten that

Built with this board, 8 gig Rapidly rip jaws ddr3 and a 3.two ghz Phenom II. Most trouble no cost construct I've ever carried out. Almost everything functions. What, I'm necessary to complain? Ok the blue heat sinks don't match my shoes. And I guess the SATA ports are tucked up against my video card kind of tight. I'm not a difficult core overclocker so I just did the lazy man's 10% oc employing the Asus utility in BIOS. Clocked the cpu and the ram well beyond stock and its stable and smooth as silk. When i very first installed I believed to myself ok i have a six core processor i will be satisfied if the core unlocker functions and gets me to 5 usable cores... low and behold it works fantastic. Just recently updated the bios as well... All six cores function!!! awesome!!! and did i mention that the ASUS overclocking utility bumped my cores from 3.0GHz to three.82GHZ!!! really like it. Great value, nice attributes (notably the great on-board sound and the MemOK! button). Easily overclocks my Phenom II X4. Seems to have a couple of troubles accepting certain RAM sticks. I had 2x2GB Important BL25664TG1337 sticks and it would not take each at the very same time unless I placed them into the two black slots. I have to have the MemOK! feature run just to POST on every single boot. I had to purchase a 4GB stick and return the other people just to get a stable boot. Check ASUS' list of approved memory sticks ahead of buying RAM or look somewhere else... it'll save you the difficulty.

I did some research and determined that this was the finest AMD mobo for what pc I've been seeking to make. AM3, a lot of SATA ports, Asus is commonly a good firm to go with, plenty of RAM, and so on. I would give this mobo at least 4 stars for these capabilities alone (and Ư if it was functional). Had to RMA. The heatsink in the middle is attached with what looks like two somewhat flimsy plastic screws. The mobo I received had only one particular of these screws so the heatsink was wobbling all up in my grill. This is -1 egg child.I've built two earlier computers ahead of and had no difficulties (luckily). This is the initial time I've had to RMA a part @ point of delivery. Fairly Packaging DOA - Would not POST. Other cons - physical switches on MB to allow core unlock and overclocking. Comparable items can be performed from BIOS without having require for switch. Also the 20Ʋ power connector is in a poor spot which will block and DVD/Blu-Ray drives in most mid-tower ATX situations.ASUS quality general appears to be slipping which tends to make me sad. I have built many ASUS based machines over the years. I did the on the net RMA procedure for an exchange and then identified out it would be around a two week course of action prior to I got my replacement. Unacceptable. Luckily, Newegg's chat bot correctly switched it to refund when I requested it and I ordered a different brand's comparable replacement. It arrived yesterday and installed with no matters.
