Runs beautifully without having any considerable troubles. Stays somewhat cool, even when heavily loaded. Impressive feature set (decent integrated almost everything), plus important expandability. The included software, beyond program drivers are far more of an impediment than something else. That stated, these softwares offer some inventive concepts, but appear into what they are just before you install them. Win7 Ult 64, 16 GB RAM, Phenom II 1090T

From mb instal to end of Windows 7 instal with updates only took me 36 minutes. Would recomend this mb anytime. Asus has come by for us once again. No cons at all. Board booted up initially attempt and windows installed with no dilemma. Had all RAM slots populated with 16GB. The ASUS utilities do a fantastic job of standard overclocking. The BIOS has lots of options to tweak if you want to get hands on. It is not feasible to boot most current Linux kernels on this program if you are using a PATA DVD or CD drive on the IDE controller. There is a driver challenge with the IDE controller and Linux so I could not install it first attempt. Working with a SATA DVD drive I was capable to install Suse 11.three with no dilemma. So PATA IDE drives perform in windows and do not work in Linux. This mobo have an option for each tiny thing you can think about, More than Clock Paradise, best match for a AMD Black Edition. 6gb sata is sweet, three. usb is a plus due to the fact you can maintain this mobo for at least two years until usb 4 or whatever seems. I laugh 1st of the iGPU selection but when I played Black OPS with this feature I was shock, the difference is beyond stock settings, It will modify your gaming skills and feeling of the game. I had a tiny difficulty setting my 1090t x6 BE into the four.ghz mainly because of the voltage. I had to raise it to 1.6 so the cpu could be 200% stable in prime95 with good temps. Got Thermaltake Frio pull/push doing a great job keeping temps cool. only five sata ports, usually they are 6. the front audio is missing so u have to connect every little thing audio related in the back panel.Turbo Key II is a waste of money, time and computer software. Best way to OC the cpu is vis BIOS.Core unlocker is a fantastic tool if you use your pc for editing video or gaming, if not is useless. I wish it could have additional mobo fan pins so I could use much less molex. I live in the caribbean so the outdoors temp is commonly at 90-98f (very hot) thats why I want a fantastic cpu cooler with quiet fans. To these struggling with 4GB RAM modules, upgrade the BIOS to the most recent version. I was operating a couple of versions back and it would not assistance 4GB. After the BIOS update it works fine. I'm operating 4x4GB G.Ability F3-12800CL9S-4GBRL modules and it operates great. I posted an unsatisfactory evaluation earlier based on the memory compatibility list not including any 4GB modules so this doesn't transform that. ASUS requirements to update that if they claim to support 4GB modules. I love this board, hate the advertising and assistance.

-usb three-sata 6-board layout -poor overclocking capabilities-price tag vcore variances in this board is ridiculous when you are attempting to oc and setting vcore manually in the bios. with llc enabled, vcore will go as high as >.1v ,and with llc disabled vdroop will go as low as <.2v manually set vcore. also, at a single point through pressure testing, cpu started to throttle. meaning, with C&Q disabled, multiplier really should keep at manually set value. when it multiplier drops intermittently during tension test, that is throttling which is not very good. 8ư power phase and heatsinked mosfets must not let that to take place. it happens simply because of poor voltage regulation by way of llc, enabled or disabled. utterly disgusted with this board, as my ์ ASUS M4A785-M "budget board," which has 4Ư power phase and UN-heatsinked mosfets, vcore never ever climbed above manually set values enabling me to realize stable oc's with low temps. im going back to my ddr2 with a greater cpu heatsink and im confident my ์, 4Ư phase "budget board" will get my 1090T to 4ghz.

This was my initial create and I have had zero complications with this board. It is feature rich and all uncomplicated to utilize. I have tinkered around with it lots. If at initially you don't get what your expecting, retain at it. distinct settings in the appropriate order could give you higher outcomes. I suggest employing the auto tune feature with the extreme tuning selected. Soon after that you need to get around 3.7MHz. Subsequent use the turbo unlocker and you really should be able to hit four.0MHz. Seriously no need to have for any further OC. My temps by no means get above 32f and I'm making use of a CM hyper 212 plus. If you do your study, compare boards and specs there need to be none as lengthy as you're not expecting this board to grow wings and fly (have some functions that clearly aren't listed). This is a really good motherboard. I guess I was lucky and grab on open box version of it for way much less dollars but nevertheless would have paid the complete cost. The layout it clean and uncomplicated to use. The heat sinks on the board appear cool and the blue matches my Blue Lanboy Air. None Not positive if it is the board or my situation but my PCI cards are a bit further back then I would like but not enough to make me take off an egg or place this beneath the cons section. It really is a great motherboard none the less.

*Core Unlocker - unlocked my AMD Phenom II X3 730 Black Edition to 4 cores running at 3.four ghz. Windows 7 score 7.3.*Turbo Evo - Asus' straightforward computer software overlocking utitlity. Functions excellent!*Great Board Layout.*Its an Asus, and Asus makes in all probability the best MoBo's in my opinion, been employing them for about 10 years, largely no issues. My OCZ Black Edtion DDR3 1600 RAM i bought was not recognized in AMD's Overdrive software program for overclocking profiles. Had to manually input in the bios to get my ram to run at 1600mhz and the rated timings. This is good board, has anything you would want if you are not crossfiring two ATI cards, as this will only run one particular video card at 16X. Get the AMD 890FX chipset if you program to crossfire. This board will crossfire but both video cards will only run at 8x each and every. Its much better to have 1 high finish card anyhow instead of two mid to low range cards in crossfire.

So effortless to get it going. Good features and worked perfectly with a 955 Quad-core BE processor. This motherboard was created for these black edition processors and it shows in its ease of overclocking (currently at three.8 GHz quickly and it is stable after running it although prime 95 64 bit torture test). Temps did get high so I could need to check into better cooling. However, I can't say sufficient excellent points about this motherboard. The easiest build I have ever done. Truthfully none! excellent layout and neat small functions that make installation a breeze. Would purchase it once more. I like Asus, but have had quite a few other motherboard brands just before. This has been my favorite board to date.

Anything! The core unlocking is sooo simple. The USB3 is phenomenally fast! I could go on and on, but it's a fantastic motherboard! One particular concern I had was with my case's energy/reset pins and had to rearrange them to perform with the mobo, but hardly a con... just took a little additional time. The other situation was when installing a bigger-than-life CPU cooler it was a bit of a fight to get the fan pin plugged in... it's in a bit of an awkward spot at the top.Neither of these were worth docking an egg.

Excellent price for a board loaded with capabilities. When it operates it is excellent. Nice seeking board. I bought this board to construct a Ubuntu Linux HTPC. I an unbelievably difficult time installing the OS. I have installed Ubuntu countless times on a lot of machines with no significant trouble. The only way I was lastly in a position to get the OS operating, after failing to install 20+ occasions, was to allow the turbo switch on the motherboard. This made no sense to me but I attempted it as a last ditch work before returning the board. It worked and I can now get the method operating for about 24 hrs but the motherboard tries to automatically overclock my processor around when a day even even though OC is set to manual in BIOS. I am working with stock cooling due to the fact I under no circumstances intended to overclock this processor. I get a message that OC fails and I have to open the case, switch off turbo mode, let the technique try to boot which results in a Kernel failure, then turn turbo back on and restart. The system runs ok for about a day and then the exact same thing occurs once again. May be ok for Windows but poor luck with Linux so far. If I can get this issue stable I will gladly update and add eggs.

seems to operate terrifically. having issues so far. Worth the value for four memory slots, 2 pci-e two.. integrated with Norton anti virus. I would perfer to purchase my personal, but oh well. The 2nd pci-e slot is fairly close to case floor right after installation, may induce overheating of any device of that slot. (havnt tested however)
