Tried 2 boards with both DOA. Went with the ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 with power up the initial time. Could not get 2 of these to work.

i love that it has the on board surround sound, it tends to make playing crysis so a lot much better. seems to have some issues when my overclocked cpu is close to complete load. perhaps brought on by on-board heat concerns...? excellent budget board though. does anything i need to have it to do.

-Effortless to install and use-Came with a lot of utilities for OC'ing None seriously...check out other thoughts for why I gave it a 4 egg A single day I was watching Netflix and suddenly my comp shuts off. I decided to RMA each my mobo and CPU and buy a new PSU. As far as I'm concerned ASUS tech support leaves considerably to be desired. The RMA method is actually slow; took me two weeks to get a new item (i had my AMD CPU back in four days). Sata threeUSB 3Crossfire SupportASUS Core Unlocker worked like a dream Only Dual Channel, but i guess you cant genuinely anticipate triple for the value.Not alot of room for a significant CPU cooler.No OC, but not a big deal with core unlocker. Operates good. I put a phenom II X2 555 BE In, flipped the core unlocker switch, went into BIOS, and 4 cores! The personal computer recognizes it as an X4 B55.

This board went suitable in and worked perfectly on default settings. I purchased this with AMD 1055T six core and Kingston hyperx 1600 4gb. So far quite superior. None As usual fast shipping and notification from Newegg:)

This board is excellent! Every little thing installed properly and have had solid performance. The BIOS settings are best notch as nicely. I'm also a big fan of the Q-Connectors Asus delivers with their gear. None so far, I've been operating this factor for about a month and have had no issues with it. Shipped with an updated BIOS, which I was thankful for considering that my CPU 񡺳T Thurban) was not supported by the original BIOS ver. Love all the USB connectors and the SATA6 is pure fire.

-I am thoroughly enjoying my expertise with this board, and it hasn't given me a lot trouble so far.-For all the features you get on this board, you get a lot of bang for your buck.-Two USB 3. ports, some thing not a lot of individuals have. I can't wait to get my hands on one thing that's USB three. capable to totally test this capability.-The onboard sound sounds incredible. There is a great distinction in sound quality when compared to my last machine (which, admittedly, was from about 2004).-6 Gbps SATA Support, not that any HDDs on the market are in a position to read data off platters at that speed yet, but it may possibly turn into beneficial in the future when I purchase an SSD.-BIOS choices are extremely comprehensive.-It's fairly future proof, I'm expecting it to last me a couple of years, maybe with a CPU and RAM upgrade along the way. -There's an concern with booting Linux off a PATA CD-ROM connected to the on-board IDE controller. I was stumbling with this issue for about a week, as I had no way to install any operating system seriously. WIndows XP x86 even failed to install. I made a USB Fedora install disk, but I had to 1st disconnect the PATA CD-ROM drive. This was a main inconvenience until I purchased a SATA DVD burner. 1 of the factors I purchased this board was for legacy PATA support till I had SATA disks.-ExpressGate is not working out for me, and Linux boots in just 20 seconds or so anyway, so there's no point. -I haven't played with overclocking but I'd imagine there isn't a complete lot I could overclock on a 1055T proc. I'm far more than happy with its existing efficiency. Really nice MoBo havent had any trouble with it none could have greater spacing between pci slots i have a HIS Radeon 6950 and it could be a little cramped if i determine to add an additional for crossfire.

Install went smooth with only minor user error None so far Running Windows 7 UltimateThis was only my second mobo upgrade, and my 1st operating some thing other than XP. I wanted to install my new hardware without reinstalling windows. I produced sure to plug my technique challenging drive into the same sata port that it was plugged into on the old board and widows booted up with no issues. The only thing that threw me off about the install was, when it booted the initial time, it hung on the bios screen for about 30 secs ahead of loading into widows. Soon after all the drivers were installed it nonetheless hangs longer than i'm utilised to but now it's only 3 to five seconds.

Works great, no problems, big amount of choices under the BIOS. None. Motherboard wouldn't work although in contact with the chassis. Nothing black tape can't repair, couldn't find plastic washers so black tape works for me. This is a note that could save men and women some time if having the identical problem, and it would be a good thought to add this as a troubleshooting step on the manual.

All in all, this is a very good middle of the road mobo for the average user. It offers fairly good expansion possibilities, but if you want maximum CrossfireX capabilites, then this probably isn't the board for you. But for me, it works just fine. I have it running with 2x4GB G.SKILL Ripjaws X (F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL) and it cruises along nicely.
