The motherboard has a good layout. Fits perfectly with my Corsair 600T case. This is my initial AMD setup and I'm quite happy with it. BIOS setup was really effortless to setup specially the cpu/memory configurations. None. I have this motherboard paired up with Corsair Dominator GT CMT4GX3M2A2000C8 and XFX 6870.

There seriously isn't considerably to say. I went with Asus mainly because I felt comfortable with the brand. The board has 6 USB 2. ports and two three. ports, firewire and esata. six Sata ports that can run at Sata III. Very nice colour scheme on the motherboard itself. I guess the most significant bonus was the fact that it has a legacy IDE port. Since I at the moment own two IDE burners that I can't give up, because of their burn high quality I had to have legacy assistance. A few factors that bothered me. I would have truly loved obtaining much more than six Sata ports. The back panel incorporated with the box was a pain. It snapped on with no problem, but right after undertaking so it created installing the motherboard a discomfort. The panel had to substantially cushion to let the motherboard to align with the screw holes effectively. It need a bit of muscle. One more concern I had was with a single of the psǘ ports. It seemed to have a piece of metal protruding from it. I believed it was a bit strange and it interfered with the installation. I decided to reduce it off in haste and thankfully I haven't had any issues so far. The Ram slots are a little close to the CPU socket. The 8-pin power connector was a pain to attain when the board was installed. The included sata cables could have been longer. I bought this mobo as a combo with my AMD Phenom II X6 1090t BE. They both came out to 赏 each and saved me ษ bucks.

Very best board I have owned, enjoy ASUS. I favor this board to the Crosshair honestly, this is every little thing you will ever need with complete support with 6. SATA and three. USB along with the OC side switches and wonderful software program. This board is a full dream. None what so ever in my thoughts, others evaluations have little issues even so if you really know what you are performing you will not have those troubles, am I proper?

Recognized my Sata three vital c300 SSD with no difficulties as Sata three connection. Board took a bit to get to post with video card at initially. Now that everythign is operating right the board works extremely properly and im extremely pleased with it. I was getting trouble finding a affordable total atx board without on board video. Making use of 1090t and a 5870 vid card with GSkill Ripjaw F3-16000CL9D-4GBRM which was listed as a usable ram on ASUS web page. This comp run way beyond what i expected. Boots windows more quickly than it takes to post. Quite satisfied with this board I have had over 6 asus boards and but to have a DOA or any challenges. A single other good thing about it is the leds that show exactly where you posting concerns are instea dof listening for post beeps. Ram took a handful of reseatings to get the board to lastly post but following 30 mins or so of redoing everyhting it posted. The asus "OS" that installed from the software/driver disc is type of annoying it boots up when you restart, you have to exit it to boot up.PCI-Ex 1.1 slot for my ASUS XONAR cant be utilized since 2 slot sized 5870 covers the only one particular on the board even so seems most boards were that way. Nothing mentioned that I'd drop an egg for. Incredibly uncomplicated develop. POSTed and booted the initial time, took me by surprise a small given that I nevertheless had the previous Windows set up on the tricky drive, I was expecting to will need to play with the BIOS a bit before I saw the Windows startup screen. The little case header clips make hooking this board up to a case so a lot less complicated than any other board I've employed. Padded/insulated backplate. Anything generally seems to have a lot greater build high quality than boards I've utilized in the past. Appears rapid and stable so far, but I haven't attempted any overclocking or hardcore gaming however, just some Handbrake rips to burn it in a tiny bit. The heatsink bracket is oriented the wrong way (at least for the Freezer 7 Pro R2). So my HSF either points up to the power provide or down to the video card. It can't exhaust out to the back of the case. Also it initially detected my 1600 memory at 1333, but this simple to fix in the BIOS. This "Xtreme Design" is fairly a bit less, well, intense than some of their other boards with the exact same designation, in my opinion. I don't have a window in my case, though, so its not like it has any important impact on my effectively-becoming. For a stock Win7 set up, you will require the integrated CD to at least get LAN drivers. Every thing else that's critical will come down Windows Update once you have these.

Anything about this make was simple. It is in no way a error to pay a fair price on good quality elements and this was a wonderful deal for all the features and apparent stablitity. BIOS flash was super simple. ASUS once again proved that their product is a fantastic worth. I would advocate to any person who doesn't want Integrated Video. Unsure if this is a drive problem but a new, brand name SATA 3 drive isn't performing as expected - far more like an IDE. Believed the BIOS ought to auto-detect SATA and version. The CPU and RAM are close and both PCI-e x16 slots are placed so its doubtful the middle PCI-e x4 slot can be used. Only purchase RAM from their list my 1333 RAM will only run at 1066! Read The Fine Manual. Its not nicely written but nonetheless handy. A handful of minutes invested will stop prospective hours wasted. In this case there had been no surprises and only 1 excellent suggestion - separate the SATA HDD on channels 1-four and the SATA ROM on chanenels five or 6.

New functions, and so forth. This is the second DOA I've gotten. I took it to my old computer system repair teacher (very sensible, photographic memory, lengthy phrase encounter with computer systems, licensed) he came up with the very same outcomes, bad board. I would have liked to get this board, but I will not try once more. I'll be going with a 790 chipset this time. Sure it's not as great, but it's more stable. Attempting MSI. Nothing against Asus, I'll attempt their items later, I just feel this board is touchy.

Effortless to install, performs as advertized. A lot of features. No troubles with G Ability DDR3 2x4G memory at rated 1600Mhz Ƒ.5v) with a PhenomII 970ʃ.8Ghz Ƒ.435v) (Used simple manual BIOS settings, did not set up overclock software program) Used Stock CPU fan & Heatsink. This MBD is sold as an overclockers board. Usage of "extra" USB ports, etc requires additional cables not supplied. In particuliar, the RS 232 serial cable seems to be "unobtainum" these days. I did not come across such a beast in even NewEggs cable & adapter list. Another issue is the SLI or Crossfire Bridge. The MBD instructions say it's supplied with the video card, and the particuliar GTX460 card instructions say it is comes with the MBD. This MBD is high priced adequate that it really should consist of such items, as some lower priced MBDs do.The MBD was supplied with a single revision back BIOS 񡹮) Current is 1010. The 1006 BIOS Boot supply and order sections are a bit flakey, and really should be much better in 1010. Setup was with an older Sony IDE CD/DVD burner, Seagate 1Tb SATA drive, GTX460 700Mhz GPU, 850W single rail P/S.

This is a wonderful board with lots of alternatives and features for over clockers. Also, make your dual core into a quad core. That saves you 贄.00 ideal there. Took an hour o get tech help on line, mainly because pre-post/status LEDs blinking back and forth in between processor and memory. Then foreign man insists it is a short, and hung up on me when I tried to probe for other possibilities. Figured out memory was in the incorrect slots. (Use the black slots 1st, not the blue slots) A coaxial SPDIF out would have been good.

Wonderful mb, really clean layout as well as very quickly labeled, good mobo for beginner builders. The led codes or simply study that will light up and stay lit up subsequent to the hardware fault. Very restricted ram choice as well as speed selection make positive when you purchase you examine asus qvl as only some 1600 ram is supported even with the" dummy proof" overclock. Most of the ram supported is only 1333. Originally purchased 8gb of g.skill ripjaws, there are two part numbers 1 that ends in q the other in c. Only the portion quantity ending on c is compatible. Newegg was great on the rma was approved instantly. One particular of the couple of 1600 ram supported.

Asus announced in mid-March that this board will perform with the forthcoming AMD Bulldozer CPUs that, according to initial reports, run 150% faster than comparable Intel Sandy Bridge CPUs. Now I can't vouch for the veracity of the speed tests, but the full report on compatibility with the new Bulldozer CPUs is at http://event.asus.com񳏋/mb/AM3_PLUS_Ready/The Bulldozer CPUs are also known as AM3+ CPUs. This news is new as of late March 2011 and I doubt if resellers have had time to incorporate it into their product descriptions. You will need to use the 3012 BIOS -- which Asus warns really should be applied only with AM3+ CPUs -- do NOT use an AM3 or AM2 CPU with this BIOS.Not truly a "Con," but Newegg insists you put a thing in this field. Asus tech support, by the way, is in the U.S. At times it's fairly darned excellent, occasionally it is awful. Even so Asus does honor its warranties, which is fantastic news.

With so several capabilities and with it being so simple to overclock its crazy how its priced. Motherboard stays cool. Hit 4ghz with a b.e. processor simple. Memok is awesome to. Btw the led lights that test almost everything on post are really helpful for a noob like me. The sata ports are not proper angled and there in a bad place. Not gonna take and egg mainly because the performance is so excellent i can overlook that. No will need for express gate. Be sure to disable express gate for a quick boot.

I like the TurboV software. Motherboard is nicely laid out. Had no difficulty mounting my H50 Corsair to the CPU despite other peoples troubles with proximity of CPU to RAM. Granted, it is a modest CPU cooler. I also liked the PCI slot layout. Motherboard overclocking characteristics are also a bonus. None.

Fantastic looks, high high quality, crossfire, turbo unlocker, 6 usb/sata, Shows a red dot if there is something incorrect with any of your elements right next to them so you dont have to guess which one particular could be bad or broken.Have not had one particular issue with this motherboard due to the fact I have set it up. Almost everything worked. Has been an wonderful motherboard ever given that.To all the people posting unfavorable critiques: OK initial of all, if you are getting compatibility issues then MAKE Positive your hardware is compatible with the motherboard. This is no purpose to rate any item negatively based on compatibility concerns. If any individual wants a great motherboard with tons of tweaks for efficiency and a excellent price tag. Obtain this you will not regret it! Hmm, slight con considering that I have two crossfired vid cards but if you use the bottom slot of the mb for a video card, you will lose 1 or two of the expansion slots and will only be left with a single. I am very pleased with my acquire and I would say that this is superior then a lot of the overpriced 250+ motherboards out there. You dont usually get what you pay for and this proves it. This motherboard has anything you will need.
