Can run the USB 3. and SATA six. at the very same time, don't have to trade off power for one or the other. Doesn't matter now but for an ungradeable motherboard it's a should. For creating it yourself, you can't beat the boot lights that inform you when every element is starting so you know exactly where the errors are. It's substantial and straightforward to function with. Lots of USB, default sound appears really very good as well. Two variable speed fan slots as effectively. Nothing at all however! Compatible with i5-760 and NVIDIA 450. The graphics card overlapped a PCI slot so I had to get one of individuals little PCIe wireless cards, but that is a frequent problem with these giant video cards. |

Easy to fully grasp BIOS/CMOS setup. Tons of possibilities. Really dependable and stable. None. This is a quite user friendly motherboard for individuals of all tech levels. Lots of choices for overclocking for CPU and RAM. I've generally been a Gigabyte guy, but I assume that Asus has ultimately convinced me. I've constructed very a handful of computers and taken a close appear at other folks's builds, this is nonetheless the greatest motherboard that I've observed so far. |

Excellent board! Bought an i5 760 along with this MB. Utilizing the provide program of TurboV Evo, I was in a position to overclock my cpu to 4.0ghz. (given though, performing it your self in Bios will accomplish a far better voltage usage and slightly much better overclock, but it sure does give you a guide line at exactly where to start out on the settings and its much less of a hassle)The OK!Mem button is a life saver, I plugged in my new memory stick, but the system wouldn't recognize it, unable to boot. Fortunately, the motherboard provides 3 separate led lights (cpu, gpu, and memory) that will light up, and shows you where the difficulty is at. It allowed me a speedy method of finding my personal computer up and operating. So with a press of the button, it auto configured the memory and permitted my technique to boot into setup and set up my OS. SATA port on the motherboard is situated quite distinct compare to other motherboards. (not confident if its a 1156 socket cosmetic or not.) "Normally" they are are plugged in straight into the motherboard, like you would with the memory, cpu, gpu, aka vertically. The SATA ports on this board even though, makes you plug it in from the appropriate hand side, which could get in the way of Tough Drives that are installed next to it. Given I'm making use of the Antec 1200 Full tower situation...It only allowed quite tiny room to plug in, and forced me to place my drives into a various slot. So it could be worst for mid-size to smaller case. |

I didn't know a complete lot about overclocking, but the bios and GUI programs that came with the board are pretty significantly dummy proof. I played around with the auto-tune function which took my two.8 GHz i5-760 to 3.8 GHz... I have the hyper 212+ cpu cooler, but it took my cpu from high 30s to about 44c. Not to high, but other capabilities such as "level up my cpu" helped out in that realm pulling it back to 3.3 GHz with a temp of 39-40c in an antec 300 case. I also played about with adjusting the voltage in the bios (which is really effortless to do) to OC manually, to which I pushed it up to 3.6GHz and almost everything operating stable. OC'ing your CPU will automatically adjust other components which you can decide on change... or not... If you want to change a voltage to any component, you can... to the nearest .00001 volt. If thats to a lot math for you, there's auto attributes that wont let you turn your new rig into a paper weight.. If you're going to auto-tune, do it via the GUI and not BIOS. The GUI did specifically what it was supposed to do. Crank it up, reboot, crank it up, reboot, crank it up... unstable, reboot... you have reached the highest stable OC.. good to go. For some cause when i do it via bios, it goes into a 20 minute reboot sequence and can under no circumstances come across the happy middle requring a cmos reset, exactly where as the GUI grabs it in about 5 mins with no troubles. i5-760 OC three.3GHz EVGA SC GTX 460 <-- also great for straightforward overclockG.Skill 8 MB 1600MHz <-- ^^Antec 300 caseHyper 212+WD Cavier Blue 640GB HD <-- the only issue keeping my windows score from mid 7's as opposed to mid 5's... I guess i really should get started saving my pennies for a SSD... But does what i will need it to, so meh |

This was for my initially create and the board seems to be undertaking great. On the initial power on I encountered numerous difficulties that had been the outcome of my own errors, and the LED lights on the board itself had been invaluable in diagnosing and solving the troubles. I'm really pleased with the excellent of the board and the quantity of ports it contains. I like it! Its a tiny a lot more high priced than some of the other individuals I was considering, but if you have the funds for it you will not be disappointed. the horizontal and not vertical orientation of some of the SATA ports makes it type of tough to plug them in. |

Runs good overall and O.C.s extremely nicely. Great compatibility with old technologies as properly as equipped with new technologies. LED lights actually helpful when pushing limits of the personal computer. Straightforward to reset entire motherboard if will need be. Motherboard can get crowded with a massive sufficient video card and was confused no matter whether I could use 4 or 8 pins of my fourƲ 12V power rail because of the plastic cap more than four of the pins(plastic piece shown in newegg pictures) and so decided to take away and try anyways and 8 pin setup worked just fine but a con because I could not get a reliable supply to inform me regardless of whether it was safe to do so. |

So I purchased this to go with my very first construct. Incredibly effortless install even with my Noctua cooler, which I thought was going to be a pain. It posted perfectly and every thing works fine...till I tried installing my driver for the network. The drivers from the disc, from Asus' page and from Realteak's page. None of them worked, just kept saying "Network adapter not located and something about sleep mode" I just gave up and added a distinct PCI network card. I didn't want to take every little thing out and send it back just for that. Other than that and the fact that the user manual had pages torn out which makes me believe it's used, the board looked fine just seeing pages torn out was odd to me. Pretty nice board even though. |

Has all the contemporary day specs and then some. Will not properly line up with Corsair Hydro H50 cooler. Looks like a negative punch down on the systemboard holes or some thing. Require to uncover or make a custom bracket just to install the Cooler for CPU. This ought to all fit together out of box. Rated low because of poor fitting, I just hope this thing boots immediately after I do get it all set up and that the board itself isnt poor also. |

Was uncomplicated to install in my tower, and almost everything worked perfectly right from the begin. I have had 2 situations where the personal computer rebooted on its personal, but in all fairness I am not certain why it did that. It happened the moment when I was installing the Windows 7 updates and it happened the moment when my daughter was doing one thing with Windows Film Maker. In any case, these were the only two times it did it and due to the fact then it has worked flawlessly. None that I can assume of. I specifically like the SATA cables with the "lock-in" function. These are genuinely cool. I wonder if you can acquire those as accessories? |

Real SATA 6Gb that doesn't steal bandwidth from GPUPlenty of on-board USB & SATA connectors for external portsDecent quantity of fan connectionsAwesome overclocking skillsContains tons of high-quality cables, like locking SATA cables! Doesn't skimp out on something. Even the rear port plate is high quality.Really stable Mine came with a single bent pin in the CPU socket. This has the particularly-challenging-to-diagnose consequence of DIMM channel A getting completely dead. The rest of the method worked absolutely perfectly. POST, and so forth, had been fine. But only DIMM slots in channel B worked.Immediately after hours of troubleshooting I read a suggestion of looking for bent CPU socket pins. I couldn't see any with my naked eye, even though I have 20ቫ vision, but with a magnifying glass I identified a single bent pin. I was able to bend it back into location making use of a really, quite tiny flathead screwdriver. Soon after doing this, all DIMM channels worked and the program has been rock strong. I'm 100% sure that I didn't bend the pin accidentally. I've been creating machines for years. I put the CPU in the moment, it fit perfectly the initially time. The motherboard's CPU socket protector was in place when I received the board, and it came out effortlessly. I under no circumstances touched the socket with my finger or screwdriver or anything else till after I found the bent pin. There's actually no way the pin could have been bent except by leaving the factory that way. |

Nothing at all super particular about this board versus previous ASUS boards I have bought. Seems issues have not changed too much in the past year or so.4ghz is doable with Intel i7-860, fairly impressive but requires much more than air cooling for a prime95 looong test so I'm at three.6ghz air cooled, not poor. Water cooling? There is a identified Marvell SATA 6 driver situation with Windows 7, blue screens at random. Had to place my Critical RealSSD C300 on the old Intel SATA controller. Small did I know when I bought it this difficulty existed till I googled the the driver that displayed on the windows blue screen! This seems to come about following installing the latest drivers from Asus site, go figure. Why do they insist on putting the SATA connectors on the side creating it a discomfort to connect and disconnect drives? Minor issue but appears like an straightforward fix to have the connectors facing straight up! Wanted a motherboard with SATA 6 and USB three, I have a MB exactly where SATA 6 does not function. I know/hope Asus will appropriate this somehow. |

This board has got to be the greatest alternative by far function wise for this chipset. Every thing works fantastic except for 1 point, the ehternet port...see cons I have currently had 3 of these boards and on all three my ehternet port has died inside the first three days of employing it. I am tired of creating, breaking it down sending it back and waiting for a replacement so I will almost certainly just maintain it. I purchased it to develop a internet/media/file server and I seriously will need to be hard wired, but I'll deal with wireless for now. Possibly a person from ASUS will see this and send me a PCI Ethernet card for all my troubles. And no, I'm not sending it back unless I can get a complete refund or be assured a operating board! I've built various computer systems, and overclocked them all at one particular point or an additional. Obtaining the settings that make a stable overclocked rig can be a pain in the rear. This motherboard did it all for me, and took a i5 750 ƒ.67 ghz stock) to three.71 ghz stable with 1 bios setting. Tons of good BIOS characteristics and a lot of upward scalability built into this board, which is the principal cause I bought it. There are 2 diverse SATA controllers on this board, configuring the RAID involving SSD and HDD mixes and doing it between the different SATA II & III controllers can be a bit challenging. It's likely obtaining to be out of date if you're seeking to build a mid end method on it now. But properly worth considering.
