Loads of added characteristics and forward compatibility for just a tiny additional dollars. Installed and posted in a jiff. Uncomplicated to read manual and driver install disc. A couple weeks into making use of the mobo, I began acquiring USB dropouts. Fully random and only occasional. If the machine has been operating for a day or two and I attempt to plug in a USB two. device, it will power up but never boot. Following about ten seconds, the device will then shed power. Attempting to boot the identical device or other devices employing all of the other USB ports produces the similar results. Rebooting the machine fixes the dilemma. I have not determined if this is a software or hardware concern and am hesitant to RMA the board immediately after getting installed 5 hours worth of OS upgrades and programs. But I've by no means ran into this difficulty with a household make (or any computer for that matter) operating Windows XP.The overclocking utility eg. Turbo EVO seems to have a lot of redundancies and is confusing for the novice overclocker.Missing screws for securing mobo to case. So this thing can Auto More than clock for people that has not too significantly concept how to overclock and this motherboard in no way I repeat By no means gets hot i had my cpu go up to 90s at some point prior to i fixed the challenge the mother board never ever broke 40 celcius which is remarkable also My Gpu at times go hot also and it nonetheless keeps it cool.. Extremely easy to overclock. For my ddr3 1600 mhz with 8gbs it wont boot but if it is something lower than 1600 it functions perfectly fine Which is fine by me cause my ram isn't too good and the speed the pc runs proper now is also fantastic. THe sata ports are at a poor spot kinda it was difficult to plug them in but it's no biggie if u have enough space.. When i 1st installed I wasnt in a position to do a correct raid installment so it slowed downed the computer like insane but i known as ASUS motherboard assistance and i was helped asap and the challenge was solved. Help was good didnt hold on the line for as well extended or anything it was a fantastic purchase for me. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Quick and uncomplicated to setup. Almost everything worked fantastic...for three days. Dead immediately after three days. Wouldn't post even immediately after a CMOS reset. A actual shame this will most likely be the final time I turn to a Asus mobo. Contemplating the difficulties I had with my last Asus(a p5b) I'm completed with Asus. RMA'd it waiting on the turn around, but who knows how long this will take.

Newegg speedily replaced the DOA motherboard and the replacement is sweet. The overclocking software program is idiot-proof. Just give it an notion of what you're looking for, let it analyze your program and it sets up the great combo. There's also software to dynamically adjust CPU voltage, fan speeds, etc. based on usage characteristics. Slick stuff. None I've learned to not right away rip my old program apart with the assumption that almost everything will perform. Save your self a lot of prospective discomfort: plug in an old power provide and verify that the basic elements (MB, CPU, memory) perform just before doing something else.

Liked the motherboard, windows 7 64bit didn'tlike usb drivers but resolved that dilemma. NewEgg has usually treated me incredibly pretty on RMA's. When I elevated my ram from 4 to eight Gig, my A2 and B2 dimms were dead had to return to Newegg for replacement.

Client assistance was fairly friendly, board ran fine for the time it lasted. Only gave it a second egg simply because of the client assistance, not the product. It suddenly stopped powering up, got a brand new power supply, nothing. Had to return it. The subsequent 1 that came back died too! Straightforward to overclock. TurboV Evo functions nicely for solid overclocking, although in all probability not for extreme. TurboV > Autotuning automagically configured the i5 to run at 3.65GHz and extremely stable. That put the ram at 1550+ and automatically set bios for o.c. mode. If you don't want to OC cpu, you can altenatively go to BIOS and select Ai Tweaker > Ai Overclock Tuner > X.M.P to run RAM at 1600mhz which is also really stable. Not quite a few genuinely, specially for the price tag range.Can\'t configure raid with the two sata 6. ports, not a con for me.No mobo connection for usb3, though not many have this yet (socket not standardized ). Front panel usb3 would have to route out a pci slot and into 1 of 2 rear ports, or use pci card to internally connect it. I downloaded newest drivers from ASUS and everthing functions good, 8gb ram recognized at bootup, ssd is nice and rapid, easy to overclock and stable (need a water cooling kit even though ahead of I leave it any higher than 3ish ghz). Also, I had no problem seating cpu as some have.

silent, cool. default settings worked out of box. lots of characteristics in bios. cable management is a breeze. lan died right after three months of non overclocked and all default settings. lan adapter not recognized in ubuntu or windows. tried generic windows drivers, manufacturer drivers, flahed to most current bios, tested cable and router. newegg will not rma. currently working with asus for rma. fingers crossed. good board but is entirely unacceptable that i can only expect three months of use. wouldnt be a major deal if this was a affordable motherboard.

Lot's of ports, excellent utilities, fair cost I have had essentially absolutely nothing but trouble with this board. Initial the RAM had to be manually set to 1600, which isn't that massive of a deal. I have 4 gb ƒx2) of G skill RAM and now it claims that although it recognizes all four gb, only 2 are usable... which makes small sense to me. I am now experiencing blue screen crashes about once a day, and the error message has some thing to do with the memory. (Does ASUS not now how to run RAM anymore?...) I am incredibly frustrated mainly because I purchased all new computer system parts and my new program works way worse then my old method. My New HD is a 1 TB Western Digital and there also appears to be something incorrect with that running on this board... finally I was obtaining the high pitched noise others had been talking about, but it does seem to have gone away thankfully I am hopefully ASUS can aid me out finding the board running properly. Very best of the finest 1156 boards. True SATA 6 and USB three. Practically purchased the LX version for โ much less but you lose the 16X video card support with the SATA/USB turned on. That 1 shares pipes for SATA 6 and 16X video. Don't do it. This board is excellent. Has diagnostic lights at start up along with a easy to OC CD. Every little thing worked best appropriate out of the box. Wonderful cables too. Purchased board to makeover my son's four year old I-Purchase Energy machine. SATA6 & USB3 was really important to him for subsequent gen tech. Is a college grad gift. This board has a tremendous quantity of features. It has the newest technologies such as USB three, SATA 6GB, and some of the oldest such as IDE (PATA) support, which I discovered handy when I needed to retrieve information from an old PATA drive. The TurboV EVO is amazing! If you are a gamer like me then you know most property built systems sound like a jet though running in order to maintain the technique cool. The TurboV monitors this and adjusts accordingly. Presently I have played hours of games like WOW and StarCraft two and it has remained extremely cool and quiet! None so far! I usually obtain MB’s for 贄-150, but decided to splurge a bit on this board. It is nicely worth the 赔, and is one of the very best boards I have owned. I also like the layout of this board, it created it straightforward to install and organize the cables in my case.

+Great ASUS high quality+Good manual, easy to understand+Excellent assortment of cables included+Outstanding Asus TurboV EVO software makes overclocking literally a 1 step process. Hardcore OC'ers may scoff at this notion; I did too at initially, until I got incredibly almost the very same max overclock with this in about 3 minutes compared to hours of tweaking and attempting several settings on my own. Enormous timesaver!+Insane overclocking capacity+TONS of SATA/eSATA ports+Quality capacitors+Chipset heatsink stays fairly cool, even with out a fan, and even when overclocking.+Beefy MOSFET heatsinks+SATA ports are on the edge of the motherboard which reduces cable clutter and tight fits under/behind video cards.+Great BIOS alternatives+Supports dual 8x pci express for adding a second video card for SLI/crossfire -Only 1 IDE port, so you can only use two IDE devices. Not terrible to me, but might be a issue for some folks.-No floppy port. Once more, I don't care, but it may possibly bother some old school users.-Sort of pricey, but this is the last 1156 board you'll ever have to purchase.-Colors are kind of bad, black board, white, dark blue, and sky blue slots all more than the board. I'd prefer just black with one shade of blue, or just all black rather than a mix of 4 colors. This motherboard effortlessly fits a Noctua DH-14, almost certainly the largest heatsink about.Asus has carried out it once again folks, this is without having a doubt *the* 1156 board to get if you can afford it.I'd get this one once more in a heartbeat.

It's like christmas!! plug and play /almostexcellent flexibility. Overclocks cool and quiet with much less energy. Good manual, comes with two sata3 and 2 sata 2 cables and other stuffActual sata 6 support/ other brand takes bandwidth/power from pci-e leaving you fall short and unstable Becoming supposedly for an overclocker it need to have much more fan connections, onboard sound is not excellent (use microsoft drivers for much better outcomes) or maybe i just didn't tinker sufficientI didn't purchase this one 1st- I bought gigabyte cause this didn't show on my search!! I tried the Gigabyte p55a-ud4p and I was pleased and then like numerous other people it began crashing. causing cards to fail, sata's stopped blah blah.(see my review there. so right after one more week of fighting it and having to rma it only to gigabyte because i sent for rebate I purchased this.Outcomes: these are test outcomes and verified if could be.3dmark 06 with gig sm2. 6914,three. 8249 cpu 5969" " : Asus sm2. 7403,3. 9345 cpu 6647css anxiety test gigabyte max five runs 401fps" " Asus " " 454 fps each had fps_max at 1000 (obvious)this has no crashing and a great deal smoothercpu overclocks with a lot much less power, both tested just at four. ghz all very same way. cept the asus necessary less power to the cpu. Considerably better energy management!!on this board utilizing much less cpu energy the cpu runs 9c lower on prime 95. That is massive/// Asus wins hands down all the way about.
