It's cute? Trying to connect desktop computers in basement to my wireless router on the first floor. I have under no circumstances had any issues connecting laptops from my basement. Initial desktop I tried with this adapter would completely drop the connection inside 15 minutes. Desktop on other site of space operates much better, but still had troubles when we play on the net games.

Genuinely tiny. i can maintain this plugged into the side usb port of my laptop, and leave it in, even when i take it in and out of my bag. i would otherwise have to unplug my other "usb dongles" which leads to them acquiring misplaced or lost forever. none... maybe if you unplug it, you could shed it. operates good on my older laptop with a shoddy internal wireless g card that keeps losing connection. also works good on my acer aspire revo, which unfortunately doesn't have built in wifi.

-Low cost!-Painless to use-Functions well -Not the fastest adapter out there I got this for my new desktop, as it was too far away to run an ethernet line to the machine. The device is wonderful. It's fundamentally plug and play, and for the price tag, the performance is fantastic. Whilst it's not the fastest device, for the price tag it still offers a formidable quantity of speed.

I am amazed at the Network reception that this tiny little piece of equipment is in a position to get!! - Great connection! Was a bit worried at initial that the wireless connection would not be robust sufficient, because of the little size, but this thing holds a great connection.- Fantastic Value!- Absolutely unobtrusive; unlike some larger wireless adapters, this thing fits into a usb slot and is barely noticeable.- Installation and set-up was straightforward and accomplished in ㅂ minutes. Most of that time was spent running up and down the stairs in between the two PCs! - none therefore far This issue is TINY! Functions much better than expected. Wireless router is situated in the basement and the Pc using this adapter is on the second floor of our house. Quickly and Powerful connection. Not a single dropped (or even weakened) network connection!!Newegg rates and shipping cannot be beat!

Smallest I've noticedLow costOperates wonderful with linksys router Doesn't work with Actiontec 724 dsl modem/gateway/router. Can't connect to the Actiontec even with encryption/password disabled as a test.Asus computer software looks a bit clumsy and dated. Want maximum compatibility from a wireless card so would not acquire this a single once more.

Works with out any problems Just a single. I don't really like the utility that was included. It can be annoying due to the fact it defaults itself as operating on startup. I did not see an option in the course of installation to disable this. I went into Run in the registry and could not locate anything, but saw the shortcut to it in the startup folder in the begin menu and deleted it.This item is fantastic, but gets 4 eggs since my customer does not know how to navigate the registry, edit the startup folder, and so on.

Currently in use plugged into a WDTV Live, about 20-30ft from an WRT54GL router (running dd-wrt), and has been operating consistently with no problems. Proposed for WDTV live users as reliable spending budget way to get connected where ethernet is not an alternative. Don't you hate when persons say "its not totally free" :) Streaming video working with a G network operates fine as along as there's not significantly competing network traffic. High def videos are the most significant challenge, and still perform fine employing this adapter. I wouldn't anticipate 100ft range from this, but it operates beautifully for my purposes.

Pros:small that's all

*** zero star like the other customer suggested ***rarely used and it is dead already. it won't do 150mb/s. more like 75 is the best this can do. it overheats too quickly if transfer large amount of data or stream a video and i think the the heat slowly kills this piece of junk. asus makes excellent motherboard and video cards. just stay away from everything else.

I really like this adapter. ASUS items have never ever let me down. I have had 2 motherboards w/o any complications so that is what led me to get this adapter. The tiny guy is only about 1ǘ inches long so that is a plus in itself. It doesn't stick out like a lot of usb adapters. The software package that comes with the adapter itself is incredibly straight forward and straightforward to use. As soon as plugged in the adapter recognized the network it was connected to the world-wide-web no difficulty. I recommend this item to any individual who has basic personal computer skills. I am really happy with it. None.

Small, with the size of a thumb nail. It looks great with a blue glow when working. Install and Play. Able to beat my Linksys USB600N adapter with 150mbps from my N router located on the second floor. My Linksys can only get 135. No drops. none Its great. =) Also bought an EDIMAX EW-7811Un adapter, which is smaller sized, but was unable to connect to my N router. This is worth your cash.

Don't let the size fool you. It's low cost, effective, and works. I've bought at least three wireless adapters from other organizations and the software/hardware did not perform. This a single functions ideal. Proper now I am running this under XP. I've also tried it on Vistaǝ, functions fine. I couldn't figure out how to get the drivers to work in Ubuntu, Mint, and OpenSUSE, though that's just Linux illiteracy on my component. If you are searching for a wireless adapter that works and it's cheap, I would certainly advise this. Every thing I've bought from ASUS works precisely the way I wanted it to, so ASUS still has rep from me.

Tiny, installation was incredibly uncomplicated, extremely powerful, operates perfectly with the WD Tv Reside player. The most costly wifi adapter that I personal, don't know what to do with the cap. Its tiny but don't let its small size fool you. It works seamlessly with my Netgear Wireless N router. I purchased it for the sole use of my WD Tv Live player. It is a single of the couple of adapters that will operate with WD Television players. It was also a single of the least expensive on the approved list. So if you want a good wifi adapter for your Reside player that can be quickly concealed, this is a great option.

Low cost, little, functions. Didn't come with a new automobile. Use Ndiswrapper to get your Ubuntu to recognize it. Functions like a charm, but man, that was frustrating to attempting to figuer out why the drivers included weren't operating. Don't bother downloading alternative drivers based on the chipset--just get Ndiswrapper.

- Smaller, compact receiver. - ASUS wireless computer software seemed clunky.- Did not function with USB extension cable, I tried two cables and numerous ports, no luck. - Range seemed exceptionally low, I had intended to use this to get a connection on my basement Pc and due to the fact I couldn't get the extension cable to function it had to be plugged directly into the Pc. Interference shouldn't have been a challenge, as the adapter was no exactly where close to any widespread interference device like a microwave, washer/dryer, or any cordless phones. Plugged into the Pc it discovered no available wireless networks.

Works fantastic but users have to realize that this is not a certified 802.11n item. It is a single stream adapter and as per WiFi spec, it can\'t be certified so it is hard to recognize just how compliant it is.That said, I haven't had any problems with it and the size and cost are just excellent. In my home, I normally get 60 - 70 meg bits / sec from a certified adapter to my LinkSys E1000. This device reports the link speed at 72 m/s and typical throughput is about 1ǘ of that and 1ǘ of what I get on a standard adapter. Not 802.11n certifiable. Just fully grasp what you are acquiring.
