Excellent for browsing pages and light video use. Extremely extremely tiny. Worked effectively win Widows 7 64-bit promptly. I wouldnt game on this at all. The150Mbps is a stretch with me maxing at 48Mbps no matter how I change up settings. For the Cost I got it ྫྷ.99) I would say get it and deal with the issues. I wouldn't get it anyway else. Invest the funds and get one thing that isnt worthless for heavy downloading and games

Extremely tiny and transportable - Wireless N None at this time. I installed Fedora 13 on an old Compaq 2800T which did not have wireless. The Linux drivers on the included disk would not compile. I downloaded the most current Linux drivers from Realtek's web site and voila!

- Simple installation. Plug it in, the desktop recognized it, I popped in the CD, every little thing was there labeled very clearly. After installation off the CD was prosperous, complete bar of connection suitable away.- I purchased a Zonex on right here also and installation wasn't that straightforward. I in fact couldn't get it to work for 2 days.- It's actually tiny and it doesn't stick out also considerably so you don't have to be concerned about losing it or something. None as far as I can see.It comes with a tiny cap. I just place it back in the plastic mold it came in mainly because I don't want to lose it. Not really a con, may possibly be for somebody so I thought I'd mention it. I by no means believed I'd be in a position to make my desktop wireless considering that a lot of adapters back then don't do as good of a job from reading about other persons's encounter. This is certainly a excellent get for me. Haven't attempted it with web games but so far I have no problems transferring files from a single laptop to one more. It was quickly and quite effective little point.

Extremely good solution, No dropping of signal, always steady 慎mbps making use of XP. As for these men and women who cant get it to set up, hard wire the web initially to your pc , turn it off, plug in the adapter, turn it back on and it will search the net for the driver and set up itself, its that uncomplicated. None so far, hopefully none any time soon Seek support and dont give any product a negative assessment, bscause you got it late in the mail (for instance), rate it for what it is, seek aid and you will smile in the end. thanks.

Size is anything! Prior -N USB adapters have been either also wide and drifted over in to the space for the other USB port or they stuck out as well far and my laptops became a discomfort to carry with the potential to break the issues off. The installation CD was self-explanatory and I was on my house network in less than 3 minutes from the time I opened the envelope from Newegg. Doesn't run hot like previous adapters.... Needed the set up CD for drivers---this is the very first "newer" USB device I've gotten that needed an external source for drivers. Also, the device is only capable of 150Mbps vice 300Mbps, which is clearly a step up from -g speeds but my last -n adapter was capable of getting 300Mbps. Not a deal breaker, but I guess I didn't study the description closely sufficient Don't bother with the "utility" software, for the typical user it doesn't give you something that Windows can't do as effectively and will just be one particular much more system running in the background consuming up memory. Just put the disc in the drive prior to you plug in the adapter but don't install anything. When you plug the adapter in and Windows wants to appear for drivers, point it at the CD. Straightforward sufficient. Can't pressure enough how great the size is, really functional and hardly noticeable when plugged in.

I am using this with an Asus wireless G router and it's significantly faster than my old buffalo wireless usb stick. It's also very little and doesn't block my other USB ports. None but. Heat was a main challenge with the buffalo stick. I think it could have brought on the functionality to decline (over two years). With this a single getting so little, I am not positive if heat will turn out to be an problem also. Also, doesn't look to have area for an antenna, but I am obtaining great reception from 1 floor down and by means of two walls.

Wanted anything compact and inexpensive. Adapter is tiny and low-cost. Can't say a single terrible point about it even although I've only utilized it for 1 day. As rapid as the old Broadcomm Wireless card that was in this HP dv6000 Vista Machine. Broadcomm card/MoBo died, was the least expensive option. It will keep this clunker running till my buddy can save up and get a Macbook. None Came with a "Free" Netgear Websafe Router. Not wireless, just router. Newegg might have as well sent me some free of charge cardboard. Absolute waste of space and shipping fees. Newegg really should save their selves some dollars and throw them straight in the trash can. That's what I'm going to do with the a single they gave me.

It's really tiny, it achieves 1st gen 802.11n speeds, and I had it installed and working inside a few minutes on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit working with the integrated CD. Allegedly operates with Mac OS ten.four or later, which is a comforting thought if my Mac Mini's wireless controller ever failed. None I wasn't expecting considerably from this device because it's going to be plugged into a desktop method and communicating with a 1st gen 802.11n AirPort Intense router 30 feet away. Thinking of it installed properly the initially time, connected devoid of grievance, and maintained a 100Mbps+ connection, I am pleased.

We've got about a dozen of these deployed in a lab, and they've been fantastic. No problems with connectivity, no failures. They're small so they're occasionally tough to spot. That's actually about it. I've noticed that some of the persons operating in the lab have moved the adaptors from exactly where I installed them in the rear of the machine to the front panel. I don't know if there's an actual challenge - no one's reported anything to me - but there could be one thing if they're in an environment with a lot of cables and achievable interference.

Low-price, mini-dongle, wide range, functions with Computer or Mac, flawless operation Had to download the Mac 10.six.five driver from Asus, not a big deal. I'd put up with a Rosewill RNX-G1W for way also extended, loosing connections frequently throughout the day, but it was for a laptop which wasn't used that frequently. Then I heard about the ASUS USB-N10, which I at initial purchased for my Mac Mini, which has had its AirPort severely crippled by the most recent OSX update ྪ.six.five). Then I thought, hey, give it a attempt in the old Dell laptop, so I purchased two. Been making use of the ASUS now for a week, and not one disconnect on either Mac or the laptop. This is a wonderful device, plus the ASUS has a mini-USB dongle, to boot.

Wonderful tiny device. The excellent and speed was way additional then I anticipated from such a little guy. Many men and women I knew were seeking for a adapter, so I told them about this soon after owning mine for a bit with no difficulties. Other household and pals purchased it, and it has been operating wonderful without any hiccups. When in a blue moon windows 7 will not auto connect, but when I tell it as well, it does no difficulty. *update* New driver update fixed that challenge. None that I can think of. Other then that quite seldom disconnect, which was fixed with a driver update. Wonderful product, would buy once again just mainly because it is so low-cost, and the speed is actually great.

Incredibly modest - won't jut out the back/side of your laptop like a lot of other Wireless N adapters. No difficulties with dropped connections whatsoever (Well, when it works - See Cons). Impressive signal strength out of an adapter that modest.Functions good with Windows 7 The 1st a single of these I received was defective out of the box, so create top quality is suspect. RMA course of action was painless nonetheless. An impressive wireless N adapter, despite its diminutive size. If you have challenges with dropped connections or USB errors however, save oneself the troubleshooting time and just RMA it ASAP. Nothing short of a replacement will fix what ails it.

Tiny and low-cost I got it to function beneath my Xubuntu 10.ten construct, but it wasn't easy. Performance was negative - it kept dropping. I attempted it on a Win7 machine as a replacement for a Wireless G-PCI card. Even with N speed, this card was out performed by the other card. I am returning it. Wouldn't waste the time.

Tiny, sensitive, price tag Doesn't play nicely with other folks, size tends to make it uncomplicated to lose I reside in an apartment complex where the wireless signal is openly shared. The moment somebody else logs on the signal becomes very spotty and begins dropping. I have to search for yet another router, then there's no problem, yntil a person logs onto it.

Low-cost, tiny, straightforward to install works with older G4 running mac os x Tiger ྪ.four.three). I couldn't get this to operate with a unique G4 running mac os X Leopard ྪ.five). Not confident if the drivers weren't written for PowerPC architecture and Leopard or what. But it wasn't a difficulty. I a lot rather run Tiger than Leopard. This is fantastic. Helped a fairly peppy mac whose airport card died get back on the net and utilizing 802.11n
