Great product!
Comment:
I decided to buy this because my daughter's TV/PC monitor, a Westinghouse, didn't have a QAM tuner, so it wasn't picking up her favorite channels thru the cable feed. This works great and my daughther who is only 5 yr old, I showed her how to navigate the WMC once and now she's a pro and no longer needs my help! I would definitely recommend this product.

Great USB tv tuner!
Comment:
Got my TV tuner in no time, which was a big deal to me because the wife was starting to hog the good TV and leaving me to watch the games in our crappy 30 year old unit in the kitchen. Anyway, here's how I feel about this badboy... Pros: good integration with WMC, thoughtful of Aver to include an adapter to be able to hook up the unit to one of my USB ports without it blocking the other slots. Vista installed the drivers right away and had no trouble running the tuner without the media center software included with the product. The Aver media center software itself was pretty easy to use and setup and I was glad to know I could hook up my gaming consoles to the tuner and play them on my pc monitor. The HD image output was rather impressive running on my low end machine, I can only imagine how it will perform once I upgrade it hehehe. No real cons to be honest, I was pretty happy with the product :)

WORKS GOOD YOU WILL NEED A DUAL CORE FOR HD
Comment:
Works good but you need to be able to get a good signal from a local station. All the tv station are about 50 miles away from me I was able to get 1 digital station with the supplies antenna. With amplified rabbit ears I could get 6 channels but the signal was around 50% so the picture would lag on most. I then connected to my outdoor rooftop antenna and got 12 channels at 100% signal. The 720p and 1080p HD channels had a small lag in them sometimes but that is probably my laptop not keeping up. The digital channels the were 480p had no problems. My laptop is a Aveatec 2260 with a 1.8 GHZ AMD Turion 64 bit, 1 gig of ram. My Graphics adapter is a 64MB Via Chrome9 which is built in to the Laptop..That probably is the limiting factor whith the HD Channels. I am running XP Home 32 bit. I also tried the tuner out on my desktop with Vista and had a problem with the 720p and 1080P channels displaying only half the picture twice. It is as if you cut the picture in half the displayed it 2 times

Coolest thing EVER
Comment:
I bought this because I wanted to play an old gaming system on my computer (PS2), it works perfectly. As an added bonus I hooked up my VCR to it and made all my old VHS movies into digital files that I can play on my computer & iPod (all the ones that don't have copyright protection that is). It came with this little antennae which picks up a bunch of radio stations, digital TV stations and Analog TV stations (which are going bye bye soon). It was worth the money for what I do with it. I think all computers should have this capability out of the box.

Very Nice! Best of the best.

Worked right out of the box. Dropped the rip off home town cable company after I saw what a real HDTV picture looked like. Set it up with an out side antenna. Unbelievable picture quality. Excellent video capture. Great PVR software included. Have recommended it to several friends. Beats the ATI crap I was using with my old computer. I never could get the ATI junk to work right. This solved that problem once and for all at one third of the price. SWEAT! Very pleased. Thanks T. D.!

This works great..forget the antenna that comes with this thing though it is crap!.. I have it hooked to cable tv and it gets all my channels including the high definition digital channels. Great price and does the job equally as well! I have used many cards and this thing really works. Simple set-up and use.

I have tried many other pc tv tuners (about a dozen or so) for my htpc and this is by far the best one for picture quality. I have a pretty basic dual core pc with 2 gigs of ram and a nvidia 9500gt. With this tuner I can get picture quality nearly identical to that of which tv can produce. I have an olivia 747 with a hqv video processor so I would think that this tuner combined a 9500gt or higher would improve the picture quality on some sets. qam is plug n play in windows 7 mc. I do wish the channels would change a little faster but its not really any slower than a huappuage pci-e card. Now I just need another one.

I have a Vista 64 machine and tried two other TV tuners. I finally bought one of these for my wife and it worked so well for her, that I bought another one for me. Works with both MCE 2005 and Media Center on Vista 64, with great quality.

Just got this and so far it works exactly as it says it should. The antenna works just as you would expect a portable antenna to work - catches only a couple of channels... but the radio side is perfect. The software bundled with it is VERY easy to figure out and run. Works nicely and is a good quality construction. Highly recommended!

This product is AWESOME! I had purchased a different Tuner before this, and it was nothing compared to this one! So far I've only had it for a few days, but I've already started converting my VHS tapes to DVD format, and checked out some HDTV. What's nice about this is it can be used with Vista Media Center and it's own software it comes with. The bag it comes in is also handy too if your on the go. You can tell just by looking at the product that it's good quality when you open it. I haven't tried the antenna yet, but it seems a bit small to me. And yes, this one plays games great with no lag! This by far is the best tuner I've seen out there, and with it's convenient size you can take it anywhere with you. The only bad thing I can say about this is the software it comes with is a bit low-tech, and when you plug it in it covers other USB slots (and when you use the USB extension it kinda hangs wierd), but these problems are still too peezly to effect my rating of a perfect 5.
