This was installed on a new Win7 x64 box. Installation was painless, Win7 picked up the card and installation was painless. As soon as installed it identified our network, and following authentication I have under no circumstances thought twice about it. So far, it's been excellent! none! I wouldn't hesitate recommending this card to any individual.

Uncomplicated installation. I really own a mini Dell and the slot size was too large for my small personal computer. So I took some wire snips and cut it shorter. then I bent the corners with pliers and a hammer... yes, I beat this thing with a hammer and guess what! It set up like a charm and is operating correct now at 100% Link excellent. I only deduct 1 egg (star) mainly because the software that assists you in your connection could almost certainly be created a tiny far more user friendly. It makes use of lots of network-techy lingo that could be dumbed down into layman's terms. And I don't get that I purchased a 300Mbps Router and a 300Mbps card and I'm finding max 54Mbps. It could just be the internet service I get maybe? But 54Mbps is plenty quick for now. The other guys that can't get this to perform must have an old router or a thing. I struggled for just a minute to get it figured it out, but that was mainly because of my personal security that I set up when I set up the router. Overall Great Product for a excellent price! Thanks AZiO!

wireless N range for desktopsbandwidth speedtrustworthycurrent driver help (supports the most up-to-date windows OS's)still operating flawlessly following five months lack of 5ghz band option. currently you can only use two.4ghz and it appears like 5ghz is the future. with 5ghz you get better range and speed and significantly less interference from household products. then once again, i haven't noticed any 5ghz PCI cards yet. if you own a dual band 2.4ghzǛghz wireless N router, what very good does this card serve you if you can't tap into 5ghz. so far, i've only noticed 5ghz mini PCI cards and no 5ghz PCI cards on the market. not certain exactly where the dropoff is with production.

Inexpensive, works with Win7x64, low profile. Recently bought Starcraft 2 and employed this AZiO card to replace an old card that continuously dropped signal and just refused to operate. I have only been employing it for about 10 hours but it hasn't dropped the connection as soon as and the speeds are amazing compared to what I had Ɣx superior, confirmed a number of occasions on speedtest.net). Will update as time goes on if anything adjustments.Connection is with on a G network with a Linksys WRT54G operating DD-WRT (newest advised construct). Signal is going from Computer in one particular corner space upstairs to the router at opposite corner downstairs. Not total strength by any means: 2Ǜ bars varying amongst 24-48mbps. Nevertheless, a marked improvement from what I was utilizing. Can't say for certain if that was a fluke, card issue, or motherboard problem so not certain if its a con or not, but had a tiny hiccup when putting in. Installed into lowest PCI slot on a Gigabyte MA790 motherboard and Windows didn't recognize any new hardware (same slot old card was in). Set up drivers by way of setup utility on CD, no luck. Reseated the AZiO card into a diverse slot and it set up without having issue. Bought from nearby retailer because I necessary it asap. Still love Newegg for things I can wait for, and I often verify testimonials right here first!

Very best pro I can say is the clever choice of ordering from Newegg! As usual, acquire was incredibly swift and straightforward. Shipping was outstanding and very prompt!I see that it is now ื.99 and I got it for less costly back in December for ศ.99. Lucky if it lasts about a month prior to it will kick the bucket. This is the second one I've bought. Still have both and even even though technically they both do "work".. on screen will show a connection rate of 154Mbps to wireless N router, 98% link good quality but less than dial up speed on the throughput. I get maybe 10Kbps in either path.. if I'm lucky. For the very first week I was in a position to attain 3MB/s. Now, a dial up connection would stroll all more than this. The antenna are extremely cheap, at least 1 of the 2 from each and every card has already fell apart. No matter what I do connection by no means improves, this factor is junk. For what I paid for the two of them, I must have just chose a far more costly higher high quality brand. Worked fine in Windows XP as well as correct out of the box in Ubuntu, OpenSuSE and Gentoo Linux.I chose this as an "upgrade" to a Belkin USB sort wireless G adapter I had prior to. I should have stuck with the old a single. Appears my father and grandfather are correct... they just don't make anything like they utilised to. So sad how every little thing is disposable these days. So wasteful.

It works just fine whilst it is connected. Install was effortless with Windows 7, it detected it and installed it appropriate away. The connection drops at least 3 instances a day where I have to reset the adapter. I haven't been playing games online, but this is unacceptable for when I do, and is a key annoyance otherwise. Also, it rates anywhere in between 50-150 mbps, varying each and every time I reset it. It never reaches close to 300 mbps. I have tried diverse drivers, but the difficulty persists. It definitely seems to be a hardware dilemma, and based on the other critiques not absolutely everyone is acquiring this difficulty. Unless I can uncover a real resolution to this difficulty this will be an RMA. Manufacturer Response:Dear User,If you have not contacted us yet, please contact us. What you describe is not regular behavior. We will cover the shipping charges back and fourth.Regards,AZIO Buyer CareExternal Hyperlink(s): AZIO Assistance Contact|

Wireless NMakes use of PCI slot2 Higher Achieve Antennas I either recieved a defective unit or its not compatible with the Rosewill wireless N router I purchased to go with it. Really High % of CRC errors, maxed out at 27 Mbps and the router is no more than 50 feet away. Contacted Azio about it and did what they told me to attempt but nonetheless absolutely nothing. I got fed up with attempting to get it to work so I returned it. The router came with a free usb wireless N adapter but I didnt want to have to use it so I could have an further usb slot. Fortunate me even though it came with it.

came quick, fast setup with windows 7 this adapter just would not hold a constant signal. it took about two minutes to grab a signal immediately after boot-up, and would lose signal once per hour where i had to reset the adapter. tried various drivers, reseating in diverse slots, antenna/no antenna ... no distinction. i replaced this adapter with a belkin usb adapter (f7d1101) and have not had one particular single issue.

Own two so far. 1 in a Windows 7 new build, other added to an older XP machine. Didn't need to do something with computer software in the W7 and easy driver install in XP. Both working superb - 1 upstairs and the other down with a single wireless router. Operates as nicely as any wireless card I've ever employed. I like the dual antennas - position a single vertical and the other horizontal in one particular computer and substituted a Hawking directional antenna for one particular in the other pc. No complications with dropped connections. I don't permit W7 to turn it off to save energy as the default setting do. Not free of charge? Occasionally out of stock. Going to get a few far more to make my complete collection of computers wireless.

Well when I bought it, I feel it was really marked down (ร.99 if I'm not mistaken). For what I wanted it was a very good buy I assume. I have had this card for about 9 months, and I have not had any reliability troubles with it. I haven't carried out any in depth network speed tests on this card, but I did run a couple of on the web bandwith tests to compare against my personal computer directly connected to my router (a DIR-615 with only 100M not 1000M wired). The wireless was slightly lower on all the diverse bandwith tests I ran. From my encounter, if you need a card to use on a computer that is far away from your router, don't obtain this card. Each of my Laptops get better reception than this card. I bought a inexpensive card because I knew I was going to have a challenging wired connection on this computer most of the time. I can't say I have ever run this card for 24 consecutive hours. If you are in a comparable circumstance I would say this is a pretty decent card.

Cheap Unreliable far more frequently than you would hope or anticipate. Thunderstorm result in some sort of interference that effects my wireless causing me to either disconnect or the online to run slowly. Often I miss out on on the web games I have planed with friends because the adapter is running to slow to connect even when my laptop setting subsequent to my desktop is running just fine. when i wake my personal computer up from sleep its instantly connected now. no longer do i wait 15-30 mins, or forced to disable/enable my wireless card to get it to connect correct.its quick, if not only slightly, i have a wireless N+ router, but i haven't noticed any critical gains, downloads are slightly faster absolutely nothing to get excited about. possible its just router settings on my portion. I must be getting 300mbps but nonetheless only half of that. (router: linksys E3000)Price tag !!! Value !!! Price tag !!!setup was a breeze as properly, talk about straightforward, plugged it in, turned on pc, tada! none as of however, other than the N+ speed problem, going to appear into resolving that, again thats probably my fault on settings utilised on router. is what it is

Good package, two antenna, nothing at all else... Receiver also weak... I got this based on other critiques, and I was Incorrect. You truly can't trust them unless you really tried it as what I did. I plug it into my box, and download the newest driver from official net internet site, and wow, download was only 1.5mb from my ATT U-verse 12mb package. I was like no way mainly because I have a PS3 subsequent to it and it gets 6-8mb download. Effectively, I went to Staples got a Netgear WN311B and WOW WOW WOW, signal picked up like crazy, more than 11mb download all the time, and this proved you get what you paid for. I believe it now! Lesson learned!

It worked out of the box I've owned this item for only 9 months and it is now failing. Particularly, I am now losing LAN connection on a typical basis (the other three customers are fine). I can reconnect by operating "ipconfig /renew" but I will just lose connection once more. And even this has started to fail. Take this into consideration when acquiring future AZiO solutions. Affordable, performs effectively for price tag I guess Employed to connect just fine to the wireless N router, but after about a month, it's created connection issues such that each time my laptop or computer starts up, it offers a "unable to communicate with host" error, and then ten or 15 minutes immediately after the laptop or computer has began up, it connects. In contrast, my other computers connect inside 15 seconds of commence up. So it's annoying to have to turn on my desktop about 15 minutes just before I want to use the world wide web. Manufacturer Response:Dear User,If you are utilizing the bundled utility to connect, be sure to add your network profile to your list of preferred networks. The moment there you have to 'activate' to make it your default profile. Lastly make certain you have no older network profiles above your preferred network in your list of networks, as your laptop or computer will attempt to connect to those 1st. Lastly, it sounds like your pc is attempting to secure an IP address during its time just before it connects to the web. If another device on the network is making use of the very same IP addresses as your pc, there will be a conflict. Attempt rising the range of available IP addresses in your router's settings or you can try statically assigning IP addresses to each and every person device on your network to get rid of any conflicts. Please get in touch with us if you will need additional assistance,AZIO Client CareExternal Link(s): AZIO Helpdesk Get in touch with|

Economical.Easy set up.Functions with Win7 and Ubuntu 10.04LTS.Major improvement more than Wireless G. Connection shows 150 mb/s. (Rated 300 mb/s)Took some function to get it up to N speeds in Ubuntu. Genuinely really excellent for the cost. Ubuntu recognizes it appropriate away, but only connects at G speeds. Had to setup a config file to get it up to N speeds. Operates Fantastic now though. Azio consists of directions on how to do this, but it's written for RedHat, which uses distinct commands in config files. Had to search for it on Ubuntu forums. Win7 automatically connects with it at N speeds. The connection reports 150mb/s. On the other hand, I have a Rosewill wireless USB adapter that does report that it connects to my wireless router at 300mb/s. I compared download speeds of each along with some other benchmarks and the Azio adapter did greater each time. I'm asking yourself if the Azio adapter data is basically becoming read incorrect by Win7. At any rate, it undoubtedly seems faster than 150mb/s.Hope the producer sees this overview and writes a guide on tweaking it to N in Ubuntu rather than Red Hat thinking of Ubuntu (and it's variants) are the most widely used Linux distros. All round, very pleased.
