Excellent high quality PSU; general performance is unbeatable, this child has an general 300A of capacity for a 64A combined 12V boundary, kind a crazy (Superman’s PSU) often good to have some reserve, will for sure boost longevity. Don’t assume so. Purchased this infant combined with an Antec P183 case (Combo deal) fantastic value and service from Newegg.

-Reputable-Fantastic amount of wattage -Pricey-Lack of compatibility I purchased this on a discounted price tag bundled with my P193. Please be conscious of the compatibility options outside of Antec situations. That being stated, if you can discover this bundled for less costly with an Antec situation, it's been a great and dependable PSU, and would advocate.

This is a incredibly stable PSU and has incredibly low electrical noise output. Vey quiet and stays very cool. This PSU has a incredibly great efencienty percent when pulling below half its load. also does really nicely all the way up to 80percent. I will almost certainly never pull much more than 75% of the rated watts. I constantly calculate 25% a lot more energy than required. The only purpose this 1 didn't get the gold award it that it drops to 79.8 @ 80% earning the a 80plus certification. This only fits in particular Antec situations so I am providing it four stars this is Antecs desing for there case so this 1 is on them. Mine was not on the list but I took measurements and found it would fit but that there was a riveted tray inside the bottom of the case to aid help the standard PSU's that was in the way. Following removing this tray by drilling out the rivets that held it in spot the PSU fit perfectly with no any additional Modification required

Fits perfectly inside of the Antec super-situations 񡼰, and others of the likes) Is modular, plenty of energy, and a good large fan to hold it cool. It's not as modular as I would have liked. I think a modular PSU ought to have only two perm connections. The motherboard, and the CPU. But that's personal preference. Also, with the power-supply getting so large I have no space among the motherboard and PSU to do some wire-routing. Some thing I ran into when I was wiring up my case. I managed to function around it. Doesn't look as pretty as I'd have liked. But no large deal. Price is ideal. I run Core i7 920, GTX 275 and I have no stability troubles. Wonderful item from Antec.

I can't say sufficient about the good quality of this power provide. It is hands down the nicest power provide I have ever installed/owned. Initially of all there is energy for all 6 of my harddrives, each of my DVD/BR drives, and then some. Subsequent is the unboxing of the actual energy provide. When you open the box (Which is so good you will hesitate to throw it away) you will 1st discover the hand written and stamped certificate of quality by the technician that examine the energy provide out. Impresssive. Lastly, the feel of the energy supply. I have been a technician for ten years and I will tell you, If you pick up a cheap power supply that is 500 watts in one particular hand and a premium one particular in the other, the initially thing you will notice is the weight distinction. Only put, greater transistors, capacitors, and elements are heavier. This power provide is no exception. It is hefty and built solid. None at all. I am not confident how extended this power provide is going to last, but I will say that you will be difficult pressed to uncover a much better excellent energy supply on the market right now and I am going to put my funds on this one lasting a long time. If you are debating whither or not to obtain this power supply or an additional a single, stop thinking, just click Acquire.

Lets see right here... - fits perfecting in my 1200 - cool and very - sleek - lengths are ideal for the antec 1200, no need to have for extensions - just as fantastic as the 'signature' series, also from antec, but 100 bucks cheaper :) - cost is wonderful Not to many.. - only fits a few circumstances, you should have known that by now. - i hear a slight 'click' when turning my computer on/off. not genuinely a con just odd as other PSU's do that. my AV Receiver does the very same thing. each function fine. - I'd like to see the fan spin a small faster...sound actually isn't a difficulty with me. it gets the job completed even though - you can't swap the 120mm fan out for one more fan (i dont think?). technically you could just screw on a fan..though it wouldn't be pwm controlled Bottom line; GET THIS Power Supply. I Extremely recommend it. :)

like it, has adequate hookups for something i'd ever require to use, maintain in thoughts it is not totally modular, the motherboard power cpu power and a couple of other ones are straight connected but the modular consists of i feel two peripherals two added pci-e cables and if im not mistaken two sata's too...i cant bear in mind all that properly tho lol this came with a combo with the antec 1200 situation, for one its big, i went to throw it in my case to find out it didnt fit, then second closer look i had to move the divider that sits overtop of the psu and get rid of a bracket to fit smaller sized psu's and it slid ideal in like a dream, so make sure u verify properly with what case you have cuz i dont consider it will fit several mid-tower situations...and the wire wrap is a little stiff and the fan doesnt appear like its spinning total speed,,,berely looks like its spinning at all but nonetheless stays cool even tho all the stuff for the con's it nevertheless deserves a 5 star rating, adore it

Extremely Sleek and Eye-catching. Nice to see all cables finally covered in loom. Enormous Fan As well many common cables attached to PSU is the only reason it got 4 out of 5. I'm a organized individual, and I nevertheless really feel these modular PSU's have too numerous typical cables on them. They're modular for a explanation; to only plug in what we need. I do find it odd given that this was especially made for the Antec instances that the PSU's typical cable layout consists of 1 row of SATA power cables. Which if you use the lower bay, and the top rated bays, won't be adequate. I guess they assume every person has like four graphic's cards in their computers :\ In addition to the bulk of unneeded cables, this should be a fantastic PSU.

Stable power--modular design--24-pin mobo power connector lengthy adequate to thread behind mobo tray on Antec 1200 situation w/out working with an extension. Fits like a champ in Antec 1200 case. A lot of additional cables. Huge unit--heavy--despite the fact that this does give some stability given that Antec 1200 mounts the PSU at bottom of the case. Really happy with acquire--highly advocate for Antec 1200 owners.

Efficient, semi-modular, quiet Place of modular connections is not best. Semi-modular leads to some unused wires. Choice of modular connectors is not necessarily best. Installed in Antec P193 situation (note this provide only functions in some instances). I like the semi-modular design as the core cables need to have to be connected in any case. In my situation the fixed connections lead to 1 unused 4-pin mainboard connector (EVGA E758-A1 3-Way SLI) makes use of 8-pin connector (which is there also), and a single unsued SLI connector.Location of modular connectors amongst the fan and the fixed connectors can be tough to reach. The choice of modular connectors all contain three drive connectors (SATA or molex). Unfortunately, my drives are in groups of 4, so this produced some fascinating wiring. Also note there is no fan speed output monitor, if you wanted one.

-running without a hitch on my ㅇ% to ㅑ% load-incredibly stable voltages-has a significantly longer hold-up time than my last PSU, although not particularly critical when on a UPS-very good default cable selection--i didn't want a single modular cable -external fan gets in the way of the modular cable jacks-fan's minimal speed isn't sufficient to keep the hard drives cool on its own in an Antec P183-it does this factor where it cuts off soon after you turn it on, then turns back on for actual--scares me each time -since they made this unit so big, why couldn't the fan have gone on the inside?-was bought just for the P183 situation--wish they presented a model with much less wattage as this factor is overkill for my power-conscious make

Can't genuinely inform ya... This section will be fairly brief too, considering that the only genuine con is that, well, it didn't perform. I was a tiny confused mainly because the LED on my ASUS Crosshair III Formula mobo had been lighting up but that was IT! not even the fan ON the psu was obtaining power. I researched PSU's for a couple weeks prior to buying this 1 from Newegg. In the finish, I balanced the evaluations this one received, cable lengths, hybrid modularity, and strong develop components with the truth that it wasn't an ATX (limited resale due to certain circumstances for use). This is an excellent PSU. The price is equivalent to a much less properly-made unit. It's efficiency has been major-notch so far. The fan on it is quiet. The cables are lengthy adequate that they are all hidden behind the MB Wall with space to spare. Honestly, I can't think of anything incorrect with this unit. Don't forget (others are saying it also) this unit only functions with three Antec circumstances - Not the 900, not the 902. The 1200 and two other people from Antec. If you had been preparing on using the 1200 Case, then this PSU is a no-brainer.

If you have an Antec case that fits this psu. It's the only a single worth thinking about. The price tag point is phenomenal and its whisper quiet. Even below total load the casing is cold and the fan in inaudible. It has a lot of connections and looks wonderful in the case. Fantastic PSU!!! Antec desires to style all their cases to fit it!! Is there a greater PSU for the dollars? Outside reviews at Silent Pc Critique and Hardware Secrets confirm this is a genuine, run-your-sli/xfire-all-day-and-all-night 850w CPU with superb efficiency, extremely quiet operation and a 5-year warranty. But it costs 50-70% much less than comparable ATX energy supplies. Is the CPX format a pro or a con? On the pro side, getting a quiet 120mm PWM fan blowing directly across the components is a lot additional effective than turning the airflow 90 degrees and it permits the CP850 to be incredibly quiet. If constructing PSU's this way enables Antec to sell them for less (and there has to be some cause for the price tag difference) that's the greatest pro of all. The CP850 is a huge pro if you have or are moving to an Antec P183, P193 or 1200 case. Straight up, you'd be a fool to use any other PSU with these instances. But should the CP850 be a cause to look at these instances more than a thing that only will take an ATX supply? Yeah, I consider so. I am that pleased with the CP85 Sexy the CP850 is not. The fan is not lit with even one particular LED and Antec created altering it into a needlessly hard workout, and the wiring harnesses are only semi-modular. But the fixed harnesses have what you'd count on any enthusiast to use for a simple build, so the only effect of not possessing a totally modular harness is that you don't get to click in the harness for your motherboard, video card, SATA drives and Molex leads for the fans. The fan is, surprisingly, a slightly a lot more serious concern. I don't care about lighted PSU fans, but it's just as hard to replace the stock Protechnic fan with anything like a Noctura or Noiseblocker. Antec aimed the CP850 straight at the silent and low-noise enthusiast community, and it was a big mistake to make fan alterations so unnecessarily challenging. The common line on the CP850 is why did Antec make this PSU when it only fits 3 cases? I know this is a minority view, but soon after living with the CP850 for a month, I'm wondering why organizations like Silverstone and Corsair are staying with the ancient ATX format for their high-finish instances and PSU's? ATX was created when a bleeding-edge program could call for a 200w PSU and possessing a RAID array in a desktop system was unthinkable. Now any decent gaming method is going to chew up 500 watts and a SLI/X-Fire setup can very easily consume 700 watts under load. The outcome is ATX PSU's have grown longer and traded their 80mm pull-by means of fans for 120mm bottom-mounted units, but this is trying to cram ten pounds of (ahem) in a five pound bag. CPU and GPU heatsinks have far more than doubled in size and effectiveness in the last couple of years. Why really should we expect to triple the actual power going by way of an ATX PSU and keep it in the very same format made twenty years ago?

Quiet, dependable, excellent. Given that I place this sucker together, I've been more than clocking my stuff with a combo of the Antec 1200 case and this incredible power supply. Boy, it has yet to let me down. Not all of the cords come straight from the PSU, there are optional cords you can plug into the PSU which allows you to avoid ALL of the cords just sitting in your case. There isn't substantially to say. It's a PSU, a great a single whilst at it. I like it. Only fits in Antec's CPX (proprietary) situations. Although the Antec 1200 is a wonderful situation for it. NOTE: THIS IS NOT AN ATX PSU AND WILL NOT FIT IN Regular ATX Situations.I hope Antec gets rid of that "exclusive" thought from their minds so all other organizations can move on from the ATX form aspect. This new design makes it possible for for far more power, greater air flow, and a move away from tiny situations.
