-Cable management-QUIET-Does not run hot at all-Excellent addition to my Antec 1200 -NONE I really like this factor. I turn on my Computer and this is the quietest component with a fan, even below load. It's also modular which tends to make it wonderful for maintaining unneeded wires out of the way. The wires are also long enough to use my case's cable management system properly and still have some slack.

The massive size tends to make keeping this PSU cool effortless. Semi-modular cables make cable management straightforward. Low price tends to make acquiring it uncomplicated. The non-standard kind issue suggests it only fits in a couple of Antec circumstances. Only a con if you don't do your homework. This is a wonderful PSU if you have 1 of the circumstances it fits. The CP type factor is an exceptional notion; if only they could get an market standard worked out for these issues...

This PSU is the second that I installed in a higher finish program, the unit works flawless beneath all loads, numerous reviews about this unit are accessible about the net and score amongst the highest rating you can get; I did not want to give my opinion on the initial 1, I needed to experience myself the behavior of this PSU for some time which I did and the outcomes are outstanding. If you are a power user, it will be hard to find any superior. So just purchase it. None For the persons complaining and taking stars off this outstanding piece of equipment, since they did not read the instruction exactly where it clearly states that this PSU is created for Antec's CP series and is exclusively created for Antec's 1200/P183/P193 instances is unfair. I believe with some modifications it’s feasible to position it in some other situations

So far, this has been an inaudible PSU for meSleeved cablesA lot of power efficient juice Calls for a precise Antec case, but if you are building a new program, I would switch whatever case you were considering of making use of to one that holds this PSUI'd have preferred if the second hardwired PCI Express energy cabal and the 4-pin energy had been modular alternatively of hardwired. I was hunting to develop out a quiet program and was originally arranging on going with a Nexus energy supply and a coolermaster case. At the final minute I did a U-turn and went with this power supply and an Antec p183 case. Saved additional than a couple of dollars and am extremely happy with the results.

Pick up the CHIEFTEC Dragon DA-01BD-U-OP Black Steel ATX Complete Tower Pc Case - Retail and with a slight mod to the removable ATX back panel, you can match this. No want in purchasing the overly costly Antec CPX proprietary enclosures. None Check out the Chieftec Dragon DA-01BD-U-OP location for much more facts on the mod.

Comment:
Not positive, don't have a case it fits in but. This PSU is a monster. As other reviewers have stated, it is not a typical sized PSU and will not match in most cases. I put in an RMA for this item but, reconsidering, I'll most likely just preserve it and buy an Antec 1200 case. The problem I'm obtaining is that this PSU was in two distinct bundles. One with an Antec 900 case as properly as bundled with the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 570. I went with the bundle with the video card and bundled the case with one thing else but assumed that the PSU would be compatible, as they were bundled with each other. Certainly, there is an oversight right here. There is a disclaimer on the Antec CP-1000 web page stating that it is incompatible with most situations. I'm curious as to why there is not one particular on the CP-850 when the PSUs are the similar size.

Was good while it lasted. 5 star power supply when I took it out of the box and powered my computer up for the initial time. Died rapid. If you study the other 1 star evaluations, you can see exactly where other people have also had it die on them considerably early. Not certain I'd trust this energy provide again.

Great worth when bought in combo with Antec 1200, incredibly stable and clean present, lots of connectors. The unit has an fascinating design that locations the fan (a 120mm unit on the front of the PSU. Cables are plenty lengthy even for a really big case like the 1200. wonderful unit with lots of upgrade prospective to energy a good crossfire rig. None as far as I can inform DO NOT Acquire IF YOU DONT HAVE 1 OF THE 3 Circumstances ITS Produced FOR. You have no 1 to blame but oneself.

Fits beautifully with my P183 case, but then once more, I wouldn't anticipate any unique. I couldn't have asked for additional excellent cable lengths.Stays silent and cool, even when gaming for a handful of hours. Only fits into a choose few cases, but its not like they don't inform you that up front; I'd barely consider that a con at all. If you're lucky, there might be a combo deal with 1 of the cases. I purchased mine in a combo with the P183, and paid a cost that could be considered equal to that of a significantly less than perfect case and power supply pairing.

If you want to retain your system healthier and carry out like it must for a long time, you need a excellent PSU that’s exactly where it all begins. The efficiency and engineering of this solution is second to none. All skilled reviews hugely advise this PSU. Nothing at all like attempting one particular out for awhile, I did and I’m quite pleased. If you require that type of power don’t hesitate, get it. Good product. Nothing at all unfavorable This PSU is produced for Antec 1200/P183/P193 cases, match in some other cases with a handful of modifications. If you buy one particular of the specified Antec instances it’s a no brainer.

Awesome style. Seems to be cooler than other generation compacted PSU's. The modular cables are quite good. It helps preserve your case clean. Fit perfectly with the Antec 1200 and it's cable management setup. The fan really should be inside the PSU. I comprehend the reality that you can clean the dust, but it would make the modular connection so substantially much easier to see in the Antec 1200 utilizing the cable management w/ the non-modular cables.

Antec CP-850 850W Continuous Power "compatible with Core i7" Power Supply
Comment:
This PSU is real quiet and from the reviews that I have study it also has some of the lowest electrical noise accessible. I have the older Antec P190 case and I had to mod the case a tiny to get it to match. The P190 had a tray riveted in that was there for a common PSU to rest on. I had to drill out the rivet's to eliminate the tray and then it fit completely all screw holes line up. This is a single of the best PSU's for maintaining above 80% efficiency from anywhere involving a ten% to 85% load. Finding a PSU that has ᄜ% efficiency at below 20% is really hard to find. The Modular plugs are behind the hardwired cables which makes it a small tougher to get to them. This PSU is will only fit in the Antec P19x or1200case so I will never ever be in a position to use it in another case. The evaluations show that it drops to 79.8% when maxed out on pulling power at 100%. I will only need to have 75 to 80% anyways do no problem right here. Often calculate your PSU at 25% additional than you need and it will final a lot longer I will now be putting it by way of its paces and hope for the finest.

Nto sure what the fuss is about. Know what you are getting! This is the excellent match for the Antec 1200 along with the CP1000. If you have a normal atx case then go with a common size PSU. If you have an Antec 1200 you will never ever go back to those. none, mine has been flawless for over a year. If you need much more juice then go with a CP1000. Otherwise this is the one for Antec 1200 owners.

Few PSU's get a 10. functionality Rating on jonnyguru. Only 4 I can recall are the Antec SG-850, XFX Black Edition 850, Corsair HX850 and Antec CP-850. The two Antec's also make Editor's Selection at silentpcreview.com for performance and quietness. For my preceding 850 watt builds I had applied the Antec SG series (Antec 1200 based builds) or Corsair HX850 (HAF primarily based builds) as I was seeking for the greatest performance doable on hi end develop w/ overclocked SLI and 50%+ CPU OC's.Lately started utilizing the CP series primarily based upon cost pressure from the peeps I was building for. More than happy w/ the adjust. Overall performance (voltage consistency) is comparable (using OCCT test graphs) to the SG / HX / Black Edition series but the CP's are quieter and much significantly less costly. Runs appropriate, runs cool and runs quiet. A winner all around. At times challenging to get hands around back to plug in added cables when fan pointed down to plug in added cords.Another inch of cable length on the 24 pin would make life less complicated when operating cable about back in DF-85.Adding a PhysX card to an SLI rig would leave me quick some PCI-E connectors.Dump the 8 pin plus four pin 12V for an 8 pin plus fourƲ pin (Rampage 3 Extreme desires two eight's).Requires old man like me to use two hands when installing into case.Exactly where's the 1200 watt model ?????? Massive enhance towards Antec case choice as CP series PSU's make the P183 / P193 / 1200 / DF series sooooo a lot a lot more eye-catching.Looking at the DF-85's SATA backplanes, why not extend these power backplanes to the chassis itself ? A pair of extremely quick SATA energy cables could plug into the case bottom with SATA energy cables running inside a channel in the case (where ya can't see 'em) to the SATA backplanes in the DF-85.

Antec CP-850 850W Continuous Power "compatible with Core i7" Power Supply
Comment:
This power provide has the usual good quality I've come to expect developing with Antec situations and energy supplies: super-quiet fans with lots of cabling choices and ideal cable lengths. I've lost track of how quite a few builds I've had with Antec PSUs, and I've yet to have 1 die ahead of I retired it on my personal. (I usually get from NewEgg but purchased this from elsewhere with a leftover Christmas present card. It's properly worth the price.) Some individuals may find this a con, but to me it's a lot more of a nit: when waking my Windows 7 machine from sleep, there is an audible "click" as the machine powers back up, as though someone flipped an old-fashioned light switch. (When this is the only con I can assume of, that's a good factor.) As other people have mentioned right here, this is particularly built for an Antec P183, P193, or Twelve Hundred case. They aren't kidding - this is a taller, deeper supply than typical ATX supplies.Nonetheless, if you are an Antec P182 owner like me, you'll be pleased to know that I did get this to match with some minor, painless modding to my case. In brief: you have to take away the smaller "platform" that the energy provide sits on (riveted to the bottom of the case) as properly as the center support bar that separates the PSU space from the lower really hard drive cage. I then attached two pieces of threeǞ" higher-density foam weatherstripping to both hold the case quiet and elevate the PSU to align with the grille in the back of the case. Immediately after some patient positioning, I was able to align all 4 screw holes with the grille, fasten the PSU to the case, and nevertheless let plenty of space for air passage out the back, not to mention the energy switch and A/C cord. Do at your own risk, but it can be completed.

Fantastic power provide. Like the reality that it is somewhat modular. Will be a excellent addition to my Core i5 and the rest of my system. Seeking forward to testing it beneath greater wattage's. Huge. Truly the only dilemma. Not truly a problem with my case but with the cases it's meant for it could be a tiny over sized for non-complete towers. Would have preferred it to be fully modular.

This is a wonderful looking, heavy duty power provide. It is higher wattage, and operates excellent. I didn't realize after searching at this item, that it was a CPX, and not an ATX. For that reason it is only actually usable in pick Antec situations. Beware, this is a huge power provide. It is so bulky, and weighs a lot. Just confirm that it will fit in your case, in contrast to I did.
