Bought this for some added cooling to my chipsets on my Asus P5Q Deluxe, the passive cooling was just not cutting it as I overclocked and I didn't really want to take the stock heatsinks off since they were all interconnected by the heatpipe set up, so I looked into this and am definitly glad I did :-) |

Cons:Advertised airflow to noise ratio is not very good on high setting, no mention of RoHS compliancy.
Pros:blister packaging, 80mm, 11 blade design, 3 blue LED lights, 3pin TX3 connector with RPM/tachometer wire, Antec 3yr warranty, flexible, mounts on motherboard support screws, can be bent in many directions and fan can be pivoted in different directions, manual 3 speed switch lets you adjust for silence or more airflow, good price for it's key features, useful to have 1 or 2 in some systems, I'm happy I bought one and might get a few more. Althought I havn't actually opened the package and used it yet, upon visual inspection I'm happy with the purchase. Some systems have localised heat traps and this helps move air from inside the traps to out of the case. In particular it can be placed in rear of HDDs, or above the ram or even close to the exhaust to help push air in the center of the case towards the rear exhaust. Having these inside help keep dust out by pushing air from inside to outside instead of outside to inside. |

I put the spot cooler over my RAM and parts of the motherboard and it moves enough air to the exhaust fans to drop temps a few degrees. Awesome bang for your buck. I would buy again |

I was having some trouble with my 8800 Ultra temperature, so I bought this Spot Cool and my gpu temperature dropped by 6-7 celcius! That's a lot for a small fan like that. I also really enjoy the ability to put the fan where we really want. The look is nice with it's LED. It could be a little longer however, but with so many hole to put it, it's not a real problem. |

Very inexpensive for what it offers. The adjustable stand is so nice, I originally had it blowing only at my RAM, but was able to just move it to now cover my ram and blow at my video card, without having to re-mount it. To the touch, I instantly noticed a huge improvement in my full tower case, as the air movement is pretty slow by the time it gets to the RAM, this was a great way to get that airflow up again. I have an EATX mobo tray, so I actually installed another pin and mounted it to that, out of the way of the motherboard. As well, I have this on a fan controller, when I turn up the speed, the LEDs get brighter, and when I turn it down (sleep time) the LEDs will dim, making them not as noticeable. If you have a big case, and could use a little extra airflow internally, this thing is really a great option. I think I may actually get a second one I am so satisfied. |

I bought this to cool an old 2x1GB Mushkin 1066MHz kit I had that ran at 2.2V. Plugging it into the motherboard fan header and not flipping the switch meant it ran at somewhere in the region of 1000RPMs. It didn't do much at that speed. I bumped the switch all the way over to the maximum speed and control the speed of the fan through abit's µGuru utility. Now it's keeping my RAM and my PWMs nice and chilly :) |

Good cooling device for a small area. The LEDs are rather bright which could be a plus for some and a negative for others. Since it doesn't bend as easily as I hoped, nor do it hold the shape all that well, it was somewhat difficult to find a place for it in my Antec 900. There wasn't enough space by the RAM or NB which is where I wanted to put it, so I just stuck it pointing towards the SB and my video card. |

This is an awesome investment for any overclocker. Uses an extremely simple mounting system, which allows you to mount it literally anywhere in your case. A ton cheaper than any of the specific RAM fans, and moves enough air to keep them nice and cool. I got one for over my ram, which I have running b 2.3v, and is cool to the touch. And I got a second one to cool my liquid cooled 8800GTX's RAM, which is voltmodded to 2.1v (1.9v stock), and its also cool to the touch. Great investment for |

I use the spot cooler to cool my northbrige (only has a heatsink on it). My motherboard was downclocking my CPU when the NB was getting too hot during gaming. The spot cooler fixed this issue easily, mounted the fan directly over the NB.Highly recommended since it can cool any problematic component easily. Only needs 1 screw for installation. |
Wow this thing is awesome, it's really quiet on high even. I replaced my stock northbridge cooler on the 750I SLI, it was way too loud. This thing pushes a lot of air and I'm very impressed...godda love Antec products, and 3 year warranty!Antec's support is very very good also :).
