Arctic Cooling MX-2 Thermal Compound Paste NON-ELECTRICAL Conductive 4 Gram
Cons:-messy?
Pros:-Worked better than the normal thermal paste i got Comment:
Very good thermal paste, keeps CPU very cool. Gets messy if not used properly i guess. I grouped this together with a CM hyper 212 and a Intel core i5 760. |

Easy to apply, keeps the CPU cool. Performs very well, brought my CPU temps down about 5 degrees from the stock heatsink paste. |

I don't care too much about overclocking and performance. I just wanted some thermal paste. This did the job well enough. |

Arctic Cooling MX-2 Thermal Compound Paste NON-ELECTRICAL Conductive 4 Gram
Cons:they should give you application instructions which are probably more important
Pros:price is good and it works great Comment:
I don't think it makes very much difference which thermal compound you use, it makes more difference the amount you use and how you apply it. The price on this is good and it'll last you a few years for several re-applications. Just buy it already and spend your time researching something more important! It seems like some people fuss over thermal paste and saving supposedly 2 or 3 degrees when they could just spend another $20 on a better CPU cooler and be way ahead. |

Arctic Cooling MX-2 Thermal Compound Paste NON-ELECTRICAL Conductive 4 Gram
Cons:Didn't lower temps as expected (will retry applying thermal compound just to make sure)
Pros:Easy to use Comment:
I put some of this on my build from Acer with an i5-650 just to hopefully bring it down a couple degrees over the hot summer months but either the stock stuff was good itself or possibly I did not apply properly as my temps stayed exactly the same. From what I see on reviews this is a great product though so it may be my own fault |

Arctic Cooling MX-2 Thermal Compound Paste NON-ELECTRICAL Conductive 4 Gram
Cons:burn in period? Also the price could be a bit more competitive.
Pros:easy to use, not very watery like a few other brands i've experienced! Comment:
simply and self explanatory for use. You don't need to buy a $20 paste that deems itself as the best, since they all work more or less within 0.5 C of each other, and the variation in temps is way more dependent on how your fan set or or air flow is in your case! I would buy again if I ran out! |

Arctic Cooling MX-2 Thermal Compound Paste NON-ELECTRICAL Conductive 4 Gram
Cons:You get a very little amount (4 grams)For reasons unknown, I had to give a little burn in time (even though there is supposed to be none.)
Pros:It's helping me keep my CPU cool (very effectively)CheapNon-conductive (so you won't short your components)One of the best thermal pastes around Comment:
This thermal paste helped my CPU's temperature a lot. Even though the initial idle temperature was 40C, it's now sitting at around 30C. I thought there was no burn in time, but there was a bit of time for the thermal paste to take effect. In conjunction with my Hyper 212 Plus, I get an idle of ~30C to a load of less than 50C on my Core i5 that is mildly overclocked. This is an excellent thermal paste, go get yourself one if you want to overclock your CPU mildly or significantly. It really makes a difference with temperatures. |

Arctic Cooling MX-2 Thermal Compound Paste NON-ELECTRICAL Conductive 4 Gram
Cons:Not provided with stock CPU fans ;o)
Pros:Doesn't needs to be periodically reapplied Comment:
With an expected life lengh of at least 8 years, you won't have to periodically reapply it like some other compounds.I use it on servers to help the CPU generate a little less heat (colder CPU are also more power efficients) and diminish a bit the case temperature, so reapplying the stuff after few years is not an option (some servers can run for many years without a single reboot -- No, they are not running Windows :o)).Since I won't overclock a server, it probably won't makes a big difference, but because it is cheap it is worth it on the long term. Even reducing the case temperature by only 2 degrees Celsius can help extends significantly the fans or other components reliability. Also, the stock CPU fans typically have way too much thermal paste, which make applying your own thermal paste even more worth it if you know how to do it properly. |

Has been working great on my overclocked (slightly) quad-core q9550 with air cooling. It just works, and I can't see a big difference compared to other quality thermal compound pastes.. I bought it for the free shipping, but am happy with it. |

Arctic Cooling MX-2 Thermal Compound Paste NON-ELECTRICAL Conductive 4 Gram
Cons:-None to note
Pros:-Works-Non Elec Conductive material Comment:
Used it and it worked grand. I also got peace of mind knowing that if some of the material made it onto the board it would not short anything out... thats a fear ive always had with the well performing arctic silver I used in the past. |

Arctic Cooling MX-2 Thermal Compound Paste NON-ELECTRICAL Conductive 4 Gram
Cons:Texture?
Pros:PriceNon conductiveEasy to apply Comment:
Basically I got this for the free shipping deal as I already have enough thermal compound for years to come... Anyhow it's a great product, price is right and best of all it's non conductive just like Arctic Ceramique. The texture is a bit "watery", but still applies easily. Also they say it doesn't need curing time, while other paste take between 25 - 200 hours depending on brand. |

Arctic Cooling MX-2 Thermal Compound Paste NON-ELECTRICAL Conductive 4 Gram
Cons:not the best
Pros:-Performance-not too thick-easy application Comment:
Great stuff.. applies really easily : ). If it's on sale get it and apply it properly and you'll get low temperatures.. give it a few hours to cure (even though box says no cure needed) and over time temps should drop even further. |

Arctic Cooling MX-2 Thermal Compound Paste NON-ELECTRICAL Conductive 4 Gram
Cons:the dispensing syringe SUCKS
Pros:works, doesn't make a mess Comment:
I can't really justify the cost of buying this, didn't notice any temperature changes at all. It's probably just internet hype with the other 250 reviews or something = couldn't justify the cost going mx-3, glad I didn't buy it otherwise I'd probably be even more disappointed. The syringe sucks too, tried to squeeze a tiny bit onto my NB chip. It wouldn't come out so I slowly applied more force, and a huge blob gushed out suddenly, nearly a pea size on a tiny 790fx chip. Get a better syringe AC, we don't pay premium prices for some cheap-ass syringe. O btw the paper label is now white, not black, so THAT'S INACCURATE ADVERTISING, NCIX!!! |

Arctic Cooling MX-2 Thermal Compound Paste NON-ELECTRICAL Conductive 4 Gram
Cons:Price
Pros:Non-ConductiveLarge Tube Comment:
Got this for the shipping promo a few weeks back. It's pretty much very good thermal compound, that has the added bonuses of being non-conductive (no fears of shorting something out) and very easy to spread compared to other compounds like the Artic Silver 5 for example. |

Arctic Cooling MX-2 Thermal Compound Paste NON-ELECTRICAL Conductive 4 Gram
Cons:none so far
Pros:Works great Comment:
The temperature drop after applying this is definitely noticeable and the application of this is very easy. It beats the stock thermal compound and there's a lot so you can reuse it for a long time. |
These are quite inexpensive now that mx3 and mx4 are out and still does a very good job. I'm using them on my watercooled system to cool my PhenomII x6 at 4.4Ghz and temps is always under 50C on load
