Very quiet even though supplying good airflow and cooling efficiency. My Phenom X4 9850 does not exceed 70c below heavy load. The dual 92mm fans are much less bulky than the 120mm models permitting use in Mid-ATX situations. Does not have grills on the fans so mind the cable placement.

Not as large as the massive boys with the 92mm fans instead of 120mm. This is a fantastic cooling remedy and these fans are nice and quiet. It looks very good as nicely, one particular buddy said an undressed V8. Set up was a snap. Um..I like my Artic Silver greater then what they gave. Cooling a Phenom II x3 740@ x4 3.3ghz. Proper now idling about 23-26c and hasnt pushed more than 40c regardless of hours of gaming. At this value point its amazing.

Looks, price tag wasn't negative. Looking forward to the cooling from two fans. Nowhere in the directions does it state which way the air flow will be until you turn it on. I guess I must have plugged it into MOBO prior to installation. I copied the drawing of the installed cooler from the directions utilizing the logo on the top rated to ascertain airflow and it was incorrect. I had to take the cooler off and turn it around. When I did that I located that a single of the mounting screws was stripped out. Amazing! I am going to RMA it. I would definitely energy it up to check the airflow direction prior to installation. Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Client - We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. The direction is shown on the bottom of the cooler on both fans. Even with mild more than-clocking it keeps my Phenom II 940 1 degree cooler than the motherboard temp! Appears to hold about 32C compared to 50ish with my old Thermal-Take Its a discomfort to set up in an existing Computer as you have to eliminate the motherboard to set up tts bottom plate. Not a dilemma at all if you are building from scratch although. Nonetheless its more than worth the work. Superb cooling for the cost and only slightly louder than my old Thermal-Take. Nevertheless plenty quiet sufficient for me. Its massive but fits my mid atx case. It might have problems with smaller cases as its tall. If your case has a side vent you will have to eliminate the plastic vent tube due to the height of this unit.

It didn't fry my processor... nonetheless running pretty cool at idle. Grrrr... The directions made it a tad annoying to assemble. I had to unscrew and eliminate my motherboard again soon after i realized that the heatsink was facing the incorrect way. It took entirely too lengthy. Then, immediately after waiting for the moment of truth soon after anything was plugged back in, i was rather dissapointed; my idle temps had risen 2 or 3 C from the stock phenom ii x2 555 cooler. Nevertheless only in the low 30s, but the fan is operating at top speed. Will rate again if i discover one thing incorrect with my setup, but suitable now incredibly dissapointing. It doesn't feel suitable to go back to my wimpy stock cooler following seeing this behemoth (in comparison). But that may have to occur.

Looks lovely, had a five star rating, uncomplicated to install, incredibly inexpensive, and it functions! See "other thoughts" I replaced a stock cpu cooler on a stock motherboard with this one particular. I didn't know that the stock plastic brackets were glued onto my motherboard, so I had to pry it off with a screwdriver. As soon as I did this, installation was a breeze. And apparently, my motherboard made it fine by way of the "surgery"

Keeps the AMD 125W quad core CPU at 32 C, quiet fan. Excellent cost at the time of purchase w/ rebate. None With the experience of five sucessful builds, I had no complications with installation. It's a large massive cube, reminds me of the Borg ship, I was expecting to get assimilated upon start off up. I recommend reading the other evaluations regarding size and fan manage, no need to have to repeat other reviews

I have owned two 512's and this is my 2nd 520. IMP opinion this is the ideal cooler for the income. At 29.95 with free of charge shipping no other cooler comes close to the efficiency of this unit,I own ์ to 贄 cooler and prefer the performance and the quietness of this a single. Discomfort in the you know what to install. If you are a rookie system builder I sincerely advocate you ask a a lot more knowledgeable buddy to install it for you. Read directions meticulously and Google a youtube video. This was my 5th time installing this cooler and it took me about ten minutes, I have installed about 40-50 coolers in the last handful of years, and this one is effortlessly the most significant pain. Two 92mm fans are quiet and run excellent, no need to replace them. Ask a buddy to install it, if you are not an knowledgeable program builder. The black round items go on top rated of the MB, and yes you can take off white backings to make them stick, it tends to make installation less difficult!

It is extremely frustrating to have to do this twice and I am not quite knowledgeable taking them apart so it takes time.I have had the Hyper N 520 for a handful of hours and it absolutely desires to exhaust the heat towards the rear fan, no duh.

Simple to install.Quiet at any speed.Over all design is stunning.Back plate design makes it so weight of cooler goes to the case/motherboard tray instead of the motherboard itself.CPU runs at 30C idle 53C load with prime95. ( AMD Phenom II 965 BE three.4GHz )Fans are a extremely nice design with smoke plastic and no annoying LEDs. Their is no reason for it to be so tall, it could be an entire 1.5in shorter if it weren't for the huge empty space in between the CPU contact and the heatsink fins as the heatsink is thin enough to not hit RAM even with it's fans installed, plus due to the long distance among the heatsink fins and CPU it can't cool as nicely. The bottom also is not a mirror finish it's additional clouded, anything farther than six inches away is unrecognizable, the heatpipes nonetheless reflect every thing in best detail, I would lap it myself but I'm not positive if it would void the warranty, will appear into this. The clamp technique is in no way capable of putting much pressure on the CPU weather AMD or Intel, my motherboard sits on a motherboard tray flat on my desk, if I lay a five pound weight on top rated of the heatsink temps drop 5C.Over all temps could be much better.Integrated thermal paste is Cooler Master brand.92mm not the most typical fan size. Over all I'm not too confident what I'm going to do with this cooler... ุ and hardly any improvement over stock cooling with a failing fan ࿈C idle, 60C load), if lapping it doesn't void warranty I'll do that and test again, if that drastically reduces load temps I'll maintain it but otherwise it'll most most likely be returned.

I enjoy the performance this heatpipe cooler supplies. So far, I've OC'd my Phenom II x4 965 BE three.4Ghz to three.9Ghz and my temps are 81F idle and 98F load. I've got the fans operating on a drive bay fan controller and they're typically running @ 80% at all occasions since these fans are really quiet(conpared to the rest of my method fans at least) Absolutely advocate this cooler!!! Best for OC'ing your AM3! Can not believe of something, as I was able to operate around any concerns I had fairly rapidly It's rather significant, virtually couldn't get to my motherboard mounting screws, but I was able to get them in with very little effort. Also, a a lot more-positive gripe...... the copper surface of this cooler is so smooth, when I upgraded my from my Athlon II 250, the surface tension was so robust it pulled the CPU proper out of the locked socket! Kinda scared me, but all was well.

The unit is just as quiet as the default heatsink that came with my i7-870. Idle temps went down by 5C when the room is warm and by 10C when the room is cool. Prior to installing the heatsink the CPU was not able to turbo enhance past the 3.1mhz, now it goes to 3.six without any hesitation. The max temps have been brought down by about 16-20C. The installation was straight forward, you just will need to have some technical know-how on the fundamentals of the construction of a Pc. I purchased this from my local tech shop because they had it for the identical price tag but i always review newegg prior to a acquire so ill do it here. Stock cooler was operating 35-40c with this now running 27-31c. CPU went from three.2Ghz to 4.0GHZ and temp only got to 40c with prime95 on blend. Overall a great cooler and worth the cost. Kinda difficult to install with just 1 individual on an AM3 Socket due to the fact the thing moves a bit till the screws are secure. Difficult install but not adequate to -1 egg. System:AMD Phenom X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GhzMSI 870-G45 Mobo8GB Patriot 1333 DDR3Believed about water cooling, even so the sealed units give the identical cooling as this one, so dont waste income on a sealed unit unless you truly want to.

- Cools down my Core 2 Quad really nicely (idle is down to 40 degrees from 49 and full load is down from 65 to 52)- If you have a HAF 932 case, you almost certainly won't have to take off the motherboard to make the adjust simply because of the very amazing hole where the CPU is located.- Surprisingly not noisy by my standards. - Installation demands two humans to be completed properly.- Just Massive. It gets the job performed in a good wonderful fashion. I was shocked as of the effectiveness of this cooler and I think that I could get even a lot more out of it with much better thermal paste. In general I would recommend this cooler to any person, but make certain you have plenty of space in your case for it :)

-Installed by myself-Drops idle temps by about 15 degrees C, about 20 gaming, and 25-30 for full burn anxiety tests (core i7 920)-No problem with blocking RAM on mobo-I got this given that it was brief sufficient to fit in my case with the side fans on-Regardless of what I read, I was able to install this by myself by taking mobo out, and setting heat sink upside down on table. I set the mobo on leading of the heat sink and screw on. -three pin (not 4 pin) fan but you can nonetheless control three pin fans from bios or programs-I didn't know if you had been supposed to tighten up the screws all the way or just until they were firm. A google search told me I screw them till they stopped screwing (which they do). I had to take my mobo out to install, but this is a case concern, not heatsink. I'm a sucker for LEDs so I would like LED fans...I could buy some to put on.

My CPU isn't overheating, looks cool, does it's job, keeps the pc at among 35C and 45C Idle, in no way pushes past 60C That getting stated I was expecting it to cool greater, I'm utilizing Arctic Silve Cermique Paste, which i know i put on effectively. Whilst i had alittle trouble installing it, i did it myself it wasn't as bad as other people today are saying. The poor direction even so did finish up making me have to remount the cooler, Even the direction on their website were bad. I didn't repaste it when i spun it around, I honestly don't feel it'd have made a massive distinction. Due to the fact of said directions generating me install the fan backwards, the absurdly potent fans antec included with my Lanboy air were spinning against my CPU fans causing the CPU fans to spin backwards(No i'm not generating that up)No PWM is type of sad but it is an older cooler. It's a fantastic cooler, looks cool in my case, but doesn't perform as well as i'd have hoped, but for the price i think i got my money's worth. I'm almost certainly gonna end up replacing it with some thing with 120MM fans or a custom watercooling loop sometime soon so that i really feel alittle safer OC'ing my CPU. Getting to reseat my CPU is the cause for the 2 star reduction. Anything with fans on it really should have a comprehensive chart as to which way they're blowing.

Cools properly -Inaccurate Directions- As has been stated many times the directions lie about the airflow direction. On the direction sheet there is a picture that shows airflow and if you line up your cooler to where it matches the picture be aware that the air goes in the opposite direction.-Inconvenient Assembly- This can be put together by a single individual but save yourself the headache and have someone hold the motherboard and one more person bolt on the cooler. The way the cooler bolts on is poorly developed and there is genuinely no excuse. Certainly some issues but it moves heat properly.

It looks superior, works and has two fans. The biggest flaw has to be the three-pin connector. My asus p8p67 deluxe motherboard can't control the fans' speed because it calls for a 4th pin for PWM. So the fans run at maximum of 1900 RPM 24ǝ. You could say that it's my fault for not understanding and bought the wrong fan for that motherboard. But I bought this fan since its height is 141 mm and not the other 156 mm some thing fan which may possibly not fit in my case.Install instruction is nonetheless incorrect since 2009 (a 1star evaluation already pointed this out, with acknowledgment from cooler master customer service.) It doesn't tell you which fan is the intake and which is the outtake. So you have to actually look at the fans to come across out. Then the visual instruction sheet shows the intake fan toward the back of the case. I did the opposite and I installed it appropriately with the intake toward the front of the case, so hot air would basically blow out the back I tried Speedfan, but it can't detect this cooler.

I have a core i7-2600k, and applied Arctic Silver thermal paste. At stock speeds Ɠ.four, three.8 turbo) this cooler keeps it at 18C Idle and 33C at load.I was developing a new rig, so I mounted it on the mobo just before I put it into the case. Was a cinch. a bit big I am making use of an Antec 300 case, and it fits no dilemma into it. The airflow through the case makes this cooler Ideal for it, no regrets at all.My mobo is a Biostar TP67B+ and the only problem I could see is if you had memory with the big bulky heat spreaders on leading it may well conflict. The spreaders that come on RAM like G.Skill or Crucial would fit no difficulty.
