It operates It won't perform with my SATA drives mainly because they sent it with no the cables/connectors for my SATA drives Luck I had 2 old PATA/IDE drives in the closet. If I didn't have these, then my computer system would nonetheless be down --- old Raidmax 630A psu crapped out

Nothing fancy here (unless you count modular cables), but it's trustworthy and gives strong power. The cables are extended, plentiful and nicely wrapped. Also, the connector label guide on the PSU is handy. Wish it came in black and the cables had been UV reactive. I'm using this to power four substantial UV lights (yeah, I know overkill, but the kid loves it), 2 case fans with LED lights, AMD 64 x2 95 watt, and one particular XFX 8800 GT card. A weaker 500 watt PSU was not adequate for all the lights.

NO Issues!!

Modular, it is very nice not getting to mess w/ unused cables in the situation. It worked completely for my setup. It moves alot of air. If you want a totally silent psu, this isn't the 1 to purchase. It isn't overly noisy, and for the watts/amount of air it moves, I locate it worth the low to moderate quantity of noise it generates. Running e6750, 8800gts 320mb, abit ip35 pro, 500gb w/d challenging drive, two dvd burners, corsair dominator 2ƥgb ddr2 800. Xp, of program.

Rapid delivery, as always with Newegg, Power supply was very effortless to place in and hook up, Powered everything superior than my final one did, mostly since it was only a 500. And for some odd explanation, My video card was just found as new hardware when i plugged this in... Guess it wasn't obtaining adequate power ahead of. Not really a con, But i had to bend some points on my case so that the power supply fan grill wouldn't rub against something. So far, I'm satisfied, I'll write another assessment in a couple of months to see if its going to pop like my final one particular did.

I can't say sufficient about this PSU. I indicate 700watts, 84% efficiency, modular, effortless connect, WOW. This is a significantly greater energy provide than a lot of other larger priced PSU's, some not even modular. Making this higher a top quality solution shows they are 1 of the leaders in PSU development and production. The cables are a bit stiff, but that performs out nicely in the finish for cable management. Working with w/ an Intel Quad Q9550, 8GB 1066 ram, Radeon HD 4890 1GB 256-bit, 1 Seagate 1TB 7200rpm 3MB's/sec Sata hdd , two LG DVD 22x Burners, memory card reader, Cooler Master CM690 Case. I do a lot of video processing/conversion and light gaming-> this setup screams :)Zoom, zoom, zoom.

Every thing seemed wonderful. The connections are great, you connect the cables into the Supply, all connections are braided, Every little thing seems truly properly constructed and the power efficiency rating are great. Received this DOA. Powers on only for a second and then dies. I spent hours trying to figure out what was wrong among the CPU fan being seated accurately, memory and so forth.. I tried yet another supply i had laying around and program booted proper up. Newegg is type of identified for delivering factors DOA, but they are wonderful about returning issues, except they wanted me to spend the shipping to send this back and i emailed them and told them i wasn't going to. They were understanding. Hopefully my replacement will be What it really should be. The modular style was nice. Newegg, as usual, was good about issuing a refund so I could get a distinct PSU. Mine was DOA. There had been no instructions for testing the power supply just before setting up it, so I had spent an hour setting up this, only to study that it was dead. Decided to obtain a distinct brand to replace it so I would have additional SATA connectors.

So far this PSU has been fairly stable. I have not hand any issues with it over the previous year. Its common on time have been 24ǝ as it has been operating my private machine for that time. If you are seeking for a fantastic PSU then you can look no further than this a single. For the cost you will not be disappointed. Plus the cables are lengthy enough for Complete Tower Situations. Only a single, wish it came with an 8 Pin Connector for the video cards that need that form of connector. fMy existing program specs:AMD Athlon 4400+ Processor, 鿫 Pin Socket)PNY Technologies 250GTS Video CardCreative XFi Xtreme Gamer Cound CardAsus A8VE-SE Mobofour-GB A-Data Computer-3200 Memorytwo-Hitachi Deskstar 320GB U-ATA 133 HDDCase: Clio X-380Sony DVD-CD RW Burner, (IDE Interface)

Inexpensive Energy supply It claims that it is SLI certified. Nonetheless, it is not compatible with the new EVGA X58 mobo nor the GTX 280 graphics card. If you are a serious techie or gamer, be warned. I could not figure out for the life of me why the pins on the power cable for the mobo do not match up. I sent this back and opted for the slightly a lot more high priced Computer Power & Cooling 750W Power Provide. Following speaking with EVGA, they assured me that this new 1 is compatible. Manufacturer Response:Hello,CUG-700B is SLI licensed; and as per specs 2x6pins.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817159058&Tpk=cug-700bAs per EVGA X58 motherboard, it need to be compatible with this power provide. I didn't even realize this until I was writing this critique but I got a black PSU rather of silver and thats okay due to the fact it looks even better. Runs every little thing I have fine and Modular energy cables make for a lot greater cable and air flow management. Enjoy IT My tower is sitting on my desk mainly because it won't fit anywhere else and this energy provide blows a ton of hot air out, somewhat on my monitor as well so i will have to move my tower. This is my first somewhat high end PSU. Appreciate it. The packaging from Coolmax is awesome. You feel like you are acquiring your monies worth. I really like the modular design. The three rails are good and a lot of power for my 8800GT. The fan is truly silent and the construct quality was highest I have ever noticed in a energy provide. None really. I wish the PSU designers would make the cables modular as effectively so you create the exact cable you will need. Plug that in. No hanging plugs. Single cable into every single cage. But oh nicely. This infant had a lot of plugs.

This has been a really great energy provide for my system. Have had only one problem with it so far. As one more respondant mentioned, fan chatter was a topic. This was truly not the fault of the fan itself, but a lot more of the recessed style of the guard mounts on the PSU Case. This was a very effortless fix. I removed the fan guard and bent the screw mounts down about a 1ቬth of an inch then leveled the screw eyelets and remounted the fan guard. Repair complete, and it did not alter the internals on the PSU. It just offset the guard just sufficient to keep the fan from hitting it. None so far! Newegg Rocks!

Properly it is carrying out precisely what I wanted it for. It operates extremely properly out of the box. the only fault I can uncover it that it appears to run a little hotter than my preceding 500W Coolmax provide. I would recommend this to those needing a energy provide with a lot more wattage and the modular setup is good. You just have to plug in the cables you will need.
