Modular, Very good amperage for the typical pc, really quiet, appears well built and has good sleeved wires No light on the fan but it doesnt matter to me. The modular cables enable you to only use what cables you need to have which tends to make for less cable mess. This can power any single videocard out there quickly but may possibly not power the newest ones in sli. I am operating a 8800gts and would fell confident by operating two. Very good psu and a very good cost.

I love it. I had never ever had a modular power provide but can now say I wouldn't buy anything at all else. Incredibly quiet even below load. I have this in an Antec P180B situation with MSI K9A2 platinum board and 5000+ BE O/C'ed to 3.2 GHz. Also of note here, the cables were a lot long to deal with my PS becoming on the bottom of the Antec P180B and hid nicely behind the MB. The only cable that was a stretch was the 12v four pin plug-in, but I nevertheless made it (going behind the board, which is the long way). I don't know if I will ever want to do crossfire, but this PS won't assistance that. I was worried possessing read about some of the evaluations saying it wouldn't post with MSI boards and some people saying it is noisy. I guess it is constantly going to depend on your setup, but it is extremely quiet with my setup, and I experienced no complications.

Decent price ... nice color and finish (black with a hint of metallic). No frills. Looks nice in my black case :-) Really really and the voltage readings on the bios system health are well inside tolerance levels. The 12V technique cable (that plugs into the square 12V plug close to my CPU) was coupled into a separatable 8-conductor cluster. During the setup of my Pc I floundered about for some time seeking for the 12V that I necessary and didn't understand it was this very 1. No huge deal truly due to the fact I figured it out eventually!

Enjoy the modular configuration, particularly the major power output cable getting modular. Really like the high wattage and the cost. Weird rattle with my case. I will need to leave a single screw out of the 4 that would generally hold the PSU in order for it to not rattle.Waiting on rebate; terms and procedures for rebate are filled with minutiae.

Modular cabling, 700W - if you can get it to function. I'm on my second one particular, the initial died after about a week of regular use. So I got an RMA, waited about a week for the subsequent one particular, and huge surprise, this a single was DOA. This was my 1st and final Coolmax power supply. I would suggest Pc Power and Cooling if you want a top quality item. I payed 2500+ for a personal computer that's been gathering dust. At 1st I had my doubts as I have by no means truly heard of CoolMax outside of newEgg but I was extremely impressed with this PSU. Effectively constructed, modular, braided wires though somewhat lengthy, high wattage in a typical sized unit thus fits anywhere. Angled AC plug placement makes this difficult to install in a Lian Li V800A situation but not impossible. I haven't gotten my rebate yet but am hopeful and have my fingers crossed. Watch for a scathing critique ought to it fail to appear. Wish they would merely make it an "instant" rebate without having all the hassle or if absolutely nothing else and e-rebate like Staples. I would even accept an e-rebate over the mail-in variety even if it gave absolutely nothing a lot more than NewEgg e-credits to use on future purchases.

Modular, Excellent cooling, it fits, very good for low finish comps with no intention of overclocking. I was wrong. THe voltages ARE NOT stable. Soon after about a week my voltages began bouncing all over the place. My Vcore voltage would bounce virtually .10v , attempt overclocking with that. ANd the 12v would also bounce .20v, and in SLI ƒx9600gso 768mb) the 12v would by no means get to 12v. The amperage is low, 28A total, barely sufficient to run 1 of my video cards (requires 26A) Let alone the rest of my rig. For a high finish rig DO NOT GET THIS PSU! Spend the extra money and get a Pc Power and Cooling or a Corsair PSU. Substantially Substantially Considerably Superior PSU's. Also, read the assessment about this PSU on jonnyguru.com THIS PSU BLEW UP WHEN Strain TESTED!!!!!

I don't claim to be an expert on power supplies, but this 1 appear and feels great. Hooked it up i-2-three. Nice and quite, but I'm confident some "gamer" will uncover it too loud. I have to dvd burners, the 9600GT video card, floppyUSB external driveUSB video cam, 2 Further case fans, AMD 64X2 5600 CPU. With now power drain. The modular setup is quite functional, and provides you a lot of selection on how to arrange your cabling. Wish it had been and 800 or a 1000. It's the similar size and weight of the 400W I replaced it with.

Fantastic, Clean, Green Power. My system is lastly stable and doesn't shut down when beneath high load. Nevertheless makes use of much less power than my last PSU, due to it's high 80+ efficency. None genuinely. This is the second time I've purchased something from Newegg and much less than a week later it goes down at least 10 dollars additional in value. Thanks Newegg!

Built great, lots of connectors, quiet. None however I'm having trouble filling in the form to get a registration quantity that's expected on the mail-in rebate. It asks for the serial quantity but the quantity I would feel it is (starts with "SN"), has 20 digits. The type at coolmax only makes it possible for 13 characters. I've emailed tech@coolmax.com asking about this to no avail.

NONE Workmanship was rather poor as some of the plastic modular receptacles came off whilst unplugging the cables. The principal power ྴƲ) pin cable is extremely stiff and puts a lot of anxiety on the mother board connector. CPU connector ƔƲ) pin cable missing. Attempt to test (somehow) the unit and make confident all components/accessories are present ahead of installing the unit. It took me 2+ hrs to uninstall a Dell XPS 420 original power supply (the main fan & video card -among other components- want to be unassembled to retrieve SATA & power cables that run below these parts) just to comprehend the CUG-700B was DOA. Was replaced by Newegg immediately, but however the second package was missing the CPU ƔƲ) pin cable. With no this cable the unit is useless. Returned it for a refund.

100% modular, quiet, very straightforward install specially with no cables to worry about. Cables are nice with clips to lock them in location. With rebate incredibly affordable. It seriously is 100% modular and honestly it doesn't have to be, There are couple of cables (like the mobo one for example) that you will never ever not will need. Nothing at all else so far. So far is working like a champ. Quiet and no problems, but not asking too a lot of it so far. Not giving it a perfect, despite the fact that I am incredibly please with the power supply, as I'm still waiting to hear if I'll get the rebate for this.

So far, so great. This psu was simple to set up and had all of the cables/connectors I required for my build. I like modular psu's due to the fact the only cables in your case are the ones that you require. The fan is quiet. Wonderful power, and trustworthy. I just bought my second one. I purchased 2 of these and one had a bad CPU cable. The cable that supplies power to the CPU was poor on my second 1. It was a enormous discomfort to figure out that the cable was the problem. When I figured it out I contacted customer support via the link on NewEgg (thanks NewEgg!) and asked the coolmax folks to overnight me a new cable for all the trouble. They stated they would be happy to ship me out a new cable. They only shipped it ground (not a enormous deal, but not super consumer service either). But then postage was due as nicely... kind of lame. Anyway, at least they sent me the cable and then all was nicely.
