Comment:
The modular connectors are totally the very best notion ever. Voltage levels detected by the bios had been practically great (my previous PS voltages had been generally a little low). It runs incredibly quite and incredibly cool. It wasn't no cost? I'm spoiled to this Modular thing now. I can never go back. The case looks way much less cluttered and is considerably much less irritating to work in. NOTE: The red eight pin plug *does* perform in the four pin, 12V connector on your MoBo. Nearly drove me nuts figuring that 1 out...

Had this installed for two years and running robust. Modular cabling keeps from having added stuff floating around in case. It's perty. Moves alot of air. None Came with a load of additional cables and adapters. At present it's getting used in a 680i with an 8800gts. Have around 14 USB and 2 Firewire devices connected at any 1 time. three internal HD's, and all of the PCI slots, but 1, full. Excellent purchase in my experience.

Modular design is nice allowing use of just the cables you need. Sufficient energy for most program builders. 8 and four pin cpu power plugs . Swift connect style of plugs is good . Assume that the excellent of the connectors could be higher , the pins wobble about and make alignment a discomfort occasionally. All factors regarded as I'm pleased with this acquire . Still awaiting rebate but if received the cost at below 100 was worthwhile .

Good searching, and had excellent ratings, the modular cabling was decent, allowing for a superior assortment connections. Not excellent for a 3870x2 + 3870 develop, due to the fact of the 3870x2's connections. Purchased this a whilst back, would have been a nice PS but returned it with no difficulties. I ended up receiving rid of the 3 way crossfire right after only a months time use anyway.

Fits my Athenatech EVO case nicely. Wonderful cost for a 700w modular PSU. Fan is pretty considerably silent too. Plug connections are definitely secure and tight. The wires are fairly stiff, if that is a con; nevertheless not an problem with my setup. None at this time.

The cost is amazing for a 700W modular PSU. I pretty much bought a non-modular for a lot a lot more until I decided to appear at these. This is my first modular PSU, but it was quite straightforward to comprehend. The computer that utilizes this PSU has a DVD drive, two tough drives, and 1 video card, so I only ended up working with 2 cords (besides the key power and 12V rail), so the cord clutter in the case decreased significantly and looks much superior with the mesh sleeving. I feel I'll always go with modular PSUs now. This unit is also Very quiet, you can't even tell the personal computer is on now by the noise level. My other computer system sounds like an airplane next to it. 1 other plus: it's "Green" even though I wasn't especially seeking for that, it's great to know it's environmentally friendly. The cords are very stiff. I had a tough time obtaining every thing plugged into the PSU and then attempting to maneuver about the case to get almost everything hooked up. As soon as everything was plugged in although, I was thankful for the stiff cords--it made it less complicated to shove them into unused space and they'd stay that way. It was literally 22 hours in between when I placed the order online and when the box showed up at my door. No joke! Newegg continues to exceed my expectations and with no cost shipping and the PSU on sale, I was totally floored by this experience.

Got wife a refurbished Compaq desktop - power supply only 250 watt - went to replace with a Neo550 watt Antec - wouldn't fit due to the stamped 'lip' that is back retention for the original psu - remembered that the Cool Max was notably shorter than regular psu's - pulled it out of that case - and it installed perfectly - issue solved-eh!! None so far Reliable - cool running real quiet psu - advised get-eh!!

Mail in rebate Well the 1st one came in and had two cords that didn't go with that unit, didn't have the PCI ones in it, and 1ǘ the modular ports didn't function. RMAed it and received a different 1, that one was missing the CPU cord! Returned it for a refund. Stick with greater recognized PSU businesses I will Never purchase from coolmax again

Staple, stays cool, i have ABIT IP35 Pro with Q6600 OC'd to 2.8 Ghz, GeForce 8800GT, and its on 24ǝ, only restarted from time to time NONE, effectively cables could be softer , sometimes difficult to manipulate them this will be much more than adequate for most people today, and its really reliable and worth each penny, don't be low-cost and acquire some trash and screw up other extensive parts

Quite stable PSU, modular cabling which reduces the hassle of cables blocking about, wonderful finish and style. Is not compatible with the HIS Radeon HD 3850 IceQ 3 AGP video card, I tested my videocard with other Power Supply and it would work fine, also I tested my card on my buddy's PC which has the similar PSU as mine and it wouldn't function, but the Sapphire version works fine. Terrific PSU as far as you don't have an HIS Radeon HD 3850 IceQ three AGP.

Modular, so cable management is a great deal easierReliable, no problems with power interruptions frying the unitSuperior warrantyEffective None Purchased this PSU to power my new Quad Core AMD rig. It's been very dependable, even with my ungrounded house. Living in an old town, its tough to locate anywhere with grounded outlets. This unit has survived a quantity of brief flickers in the power. It's at present running a Phenom X4 9950, Radeon HD 4870 1GB, Seagate 640GB HDD, fans in an Antec 900, 4GB OCZ Reaper memory, and some USB peripherals with a lot to spare. If it fries soon after the warranty is up, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another.

It was a modular unit and Newegg quick response to my initial order and RMA. I don't usually write reviews, but this one I had to. The first unit was DOA and the second unit the OS was unable to restart with out me pressing the reset bottom or holding the on/off bottom to get my computer to turn off. Spend the funds on a excellent modular PSU and don't be inexpensive. Do your reach on all units prior to you make your decision.

Excellent, solid power supply. Runs cool, does not run the electricity bill up as considerably as the Antec 1000w I have running now. A lot of cables, sleeving is tight and really nice. Was fine with two 8600s in SLI, but I went with 2 9800GTXs in SLI and it was not effective enough to run the method consistently. Bought an Antec 1000w off another web page that was running a deal and it is More than sufficient for my rig. One easy indicator of a power supplies abilities is the weight. Capacitors add substantial weight to a PSU and this one is very Extremely light. It is 7000w but it is a weak 700 watts that doesn't stand up to the demands of an even 2 1ǘ year old SLI program. The Antec will be going into the new construct I am collecting as of now, but I would not have even thought about it with this PSU. I wouldn't even dream about using it to run a Sandy Bridge with SLI 560s or 570s. I don't think it could manage the load. Want 1 inexpensive? I still have it, only utilized two months, works perfectly. JK. Will possibly go into a tower HTPC/gaming on the big screen PC I may well develop down the line.
