This power provide is fairly silent when supplying power to 3X GTX 580 in tri sli, plus an i7 950 under load the fan does not stand too far out from my other case fans. Stays relatively coolAll reviews point towards this provide getting superb energy delivery.Compared to Cooler Master silent pro gold 1200 (returned)Quieter, Cooler, 2yr added warranty, Lower power ripple None really, it meets every criteria I set out for. I hear that something over 750 watts on a single 12V rail is pushing it. This provide seems to have few drawbacks, but i'm no engineer.

- The top quality in this item is evident correct from the start out. The build, the supplies, and the packaging are great.- A lot of power for something. I have this factor powering 3 GTX 470's and all the cooling I could pack into a HAF X case, and it is nonetheless cool and quiet.- Full modular style. Yeah, wow. This was my initially knowledge with complete modular, and I'm spoiled now. I'll never ever go back!! Such a straightforward idea makes the build so much a lot more enjoyable. None

Does precisely what a PSU is supposed to do. Delivers clean power, and is whisper quiet. Runs my 4.2GHz i7 930, two GTX 580s and a GTX 460 with ease! What a lot more can I ask for? A small pricey....I'd like to see it at 趏.00

Straightforward install. modular is the way to go, just makes the create so neat, and it's a Corsair so you know the excellent is going to be there The CPU power cable just created it up to the MB location but I have a Corsair 800 case so....they don't get substantially larger. I've only had 1 Corsair PS ever come DOA, and I've built a ton of rigs, but NewEgg swapped it out no sweat.

Extremely stable and powers my gtx 580s like its absolutely nothing. I purchased this psu due to its single rail design and is a lot shorter then several 1200W psu's out there. But it is majorly flawed with noise troubles. Rma'd my psu only to locate that the new 1 has the exact identical ANNOYING buzzing when the computer is off. I can realize the psu buzzing and creating noise when its on cause its 1200W. But come on when the computers off it shouldn't make a sound. I will be replacing it with an antec 1200 when i have some spare cash. Trigger i sleep in the similar room as my computer system is in...

Packaged really nicely. Actual PSU comes surrounded in a great inch of sturdy foam and tucked inside a fancy felt bag which reminded me of Crown Royal. Modular cables are packaged in soft black plastic bag with velcro closure. Fan, even though not totally silent, is significantly quieter than prior FSP FX-700GLN. 7 year warranty None truly except possibly the price. Would have preferred to have paid maybe 趚-趤. CPU power cable would have been easier to connect to the MB if the cable was about 2 inches longer (PSU bottom mount in CoolerMaster ATCS 840). My first modular PSU. I'll never ever non-modular PSU in the future. Much less clutter in my case now :)

Priced ok for a 1200 watt PSU. Unit is whisper quiet. Gold rating really should save me some $$$ with electric bills. None so far. I like (and would obtain once more) the fully modular style due to ease of replacing a potentially bad/failed PSU. Nevertheless, I read right after acquiring that there could be a doable resistance concern with the primary MB power harness(es) - which, apparently, is why quite a few PSU manufacturers avoid it. One thing to think about. . .

The positive aspects of this unit areɅ. Little size (compared to other units of this wattageƜ. Modular3. Physical Appearance I read a lot of outstanding critiques about this power supply becoming "Best in Class" in the 1200 Watt range. It most certainly IS NOT. I have a quite high end technique (Core i-7 980X Extreme Edition, 3-SAS challenging drives, 3-SATA hard drives and Two GTX295 in SLI.). The power supply could not handle powering my technique. I began to play Dawn of War II. This brought on cut outs of my game's audio as well as video stutter. Yet another time I began to play that exact same game with 1 other plan running in the background (an anti-virus scan) and it stressed my computer system into a BSOD. Unacceptable for what most critiques call the "Best in Class" 1200 Watt power provide. I have a correct high end program. I have owned quite a few of the top class brand power supplies. The only 1 that I performed well was the T12W. I wanted the AX1200 for the modular function. I believed I would try to boost airflow in my case by going with the AX1200. I replaced a T12W with the AX1200. I reinstalled the T12W into my program and my audio break ups, video stutter and BSOD difficulties disappeared. The T12W is the True "Best in Class" power provide for the 1200 Watt range of power supplies. That is almost certainly why it costs about 40 - 50% more than other power supplies in its range. I am incredibly disappointed that the AX1200 did not live up to the hype of all of the evaluations. My knowledge with numerous power supplies is that the AX1200 could be a lot more proper for the average, "run of the mill" computer system that could get by with a 600 Watt PS, but why invest the income on the AX1200 if that is the case?

100% Modular, lots of cables to use. Extremely easy to set up, unless you're ...properly..you know. Clean consistent power.QUIET. I'm not certain exactly where the folks are getting their noise concerns from in other evaluations, but mine is so quiet I can't hear it. None that I can see. It's costly, but as I always say you get what you spend for. Some of the people today in these reviews are spouting nonsense about unclear cable layout (ie: Exactly where to plug the modular cables in)....dur. They're easy. The end opposite of the peripheral plug will ONLY go in one sort of socket. And these sockets will work for any cable that has that socket sort. The ATX 24 pin motherboard cable is clearly marked. Look at the power provide. It's not difficult.

I've been running this PSU for 4 months on my gaming build from August 2011. It currently runs 2 580GTX, 2600k n 5ghz, 8gb dominator ram, SSD, HDD, full watercooling including 8 gentle typhoon fans without a hitch. It's been quiet and reliable even under long gaming sessions. Fantastic piece of hardware for the enthusiast. You can see my build here on the NCIX forums under PC Builders Workshop or through the following link:http://forums.ncix.com/forums/?mode=showthread&forum=191&threadid=2411828&pagenumber=1&msgcount=25&subpage=1

1200W PSUComes in a mice box, PSU and cables each come in a good bag inside of that good case. You get a manual and a case badge/sticker. There are subtle small touches like the Logo/Big sticker being on each sides of the PSU but positioned so that the PSU can usually be installed with it facing up (mount it on the bottom of a case intaking air from the outside it faces up or on the leading of the case intaking case air and vice versa) the sticker/Logo "SHOULD" all ways face up. I say need to since I have not identified a way but to do it wrong but someone else may well. The 100% Modulair design is good simply because in the occasion of failure you can leave all your cables in place and only swap out the PSU box. hopefully they'll all be like this in the future, but now it's a regular feature that costs additional. This PSU is not overly noise as I have the tower a distance away from my work station in a closet, 15 foot HDMI cable saves the day. So I can not hear it where it is situated, and when it is operating I have to place my ear with in 8 inches of it in order to hear this wining noise more than the case fans and CPU fan. Nonetheless when it is off and there's a moment of silence in the space I can hear it like you subtly notice a bird in the distance when you pause on a walk to rest or catch your breath or for what ever reason. I will return the two eggs I discarded if this PSU does what the other reviews have stated and quiets down soon after a week or two much more when it completes it's "burn in period."I guess it has an on board system as well to detect if 120 or 240 Volts is being fed to it and automatically switch as I do not see the regular physical switch for this. On the other hand I would make extra double positive of this ahead of I try it.

**Updating assessment two below**Power supply has stopped creating an screeching noise like people today said required a burn in period,, PC is whisper fairly and whats most awsome put a thermometer on the psu, max temp i have observed it get to is 32c with the fan hardly turning!!! Silent and thats at load of 850W!! my old enermax1250w was creating 45db of sound and over 50c hot at that point , the effeciency goes further than just saving you power it saves your ears and wallet!! Would be fantastic to see corsair have availabe a extra kit of cables (maybe for obtain as silverstone does), majority of cases are now utilizing bottom mounted PSU and need incredibly short cables for GPUs i have 3x 480 and thats a monster amount of additional wire to try and hide and keep things tiny!! Give it a go.

Rock solid იV rail, which is what counts, variance of much less than .05V. The ƳV rail has a variance of .1V while the Ʊ.3V rail has a variance of .04V. Well dressed cables. Documentation is rather poor. High-priced. I really should take an egg off for this but I wont. The load on this PSU comes from 5x2TB SATA HDD, 1xDVD, 2xGTX580 in SLI, 3x180mm fans, 2x140mm fans, 1x120mm fan and the ASUS P8P67 Deluxe MB operating the Intel 2600K CPU.

Huge, looks excellent, totally modular, wiring has mesh sleeves. The PSU comes in a velvet bag a lot like a bottle of Crown Royal. Contains a good soft case to hold all of the modular cables. Only one. The ATX12V cables had been too brief to wrap neatly around my case. I purchased some extensions that also included mesh sleeves. Dilemma solved.

Extremely stable, and effective. Completely modular style, black cables, high high quality develop. 7-year warranty. You can locate various reviews on the net that agree with my points, this is completely THE PSU to get if you are looking for top-of-the-line. The unit is in fact a 1500W in disguise! Solved BSOD and stuttering issues that my aging 700W OCZ had with this method.Extremely recommended. It's fairly steep in cost. But you get what you pay for with this unit, which is Excellent. Fits in Antec 900 really properly. The adequately lengthy EPS12V and ATX24 cables are lengthy sufficient to route effectively inside the Antec 900 case. Old PSU (the OCZ GXS 700W) was not, so cables had been going everywhere. This Corsair turns out to in fact be a 1500W unit!Got this unit not only to solve the inadequacy of my old OCZ, but also to pave way for future HD 6950񴜪 CF method!Specs:Antec 900 Midtower CaseVisiontek HD 4870 X2Q9650 @ four GHzASUS P5Q Deluxe8 GB OCZ Reaper HPC DDR2 1066Corsair AX-1200

Plenty of power for future upgrades. Cable management is ridiculously easy with flat cables. Got rid of the whining of my GTX 470 overclock. Really well built and includes a lot of optional cables. Looks like it could take a 9mm to the side and nonetheless run like a champ (not field tested). Can\'t get rid of the high-pitched squealing sound, even following a few weeks. Motherboard cable is slightly shorter than I would have cared for, but it still works. This factor is quite massive, so check the specs on your case prior to you get! It just barely fit in my Antec 900 case.

Clean power, high output and high reliability. The ATX 24-pin and the 2x CPU fourƲ pins are way to brief in a Lian Li V2120X case.Contacted Corsair about this and they wouldn't give me with a resolution. Perhaps subsequent time I must look much more into a organization and it's service, instead of trusting critiques only. In the past I have used many brands of PSU's; Enermax, OCZ... OCZ still has the very best consumer support. They replaced a dead PSU following three years! Great, hopefully Corsair will still present some help after reading this...
