Modular, black, certified gold, 850w, runs SLI and core 950 i7 no probs. Like other have stated. If you want both eatx 12v plugged into PSU and use SLI cards on R3E board, then you will have 1 of your PCIe cards with molex connector (looks ugly but operates). Wish had potential to plug all modular connectors in at exact same time if desired. Not enough to take off 1 egg. Nonetheless, on most forums, U don't want both eatx 12v plugged into the board, just a single and runs fine. I am not water cooling and don't plan on more than regular SLI.

CORSAIR Professional Series Gold AX850 (CMPSU-850AX) 850W Power Supply
Comment:
Supplies power to everything - like the extra 4x 12V lines and a single added molex to my CPU by way of mainboard, plus the new video card which is rated to draw 30A from 12V. Great for a single GPU mid/high-spec program, especially if you intend to overclock.Modular cable method is slick. I like that the packaging was extremely effectively organized, but the special nylon bag for the cables and cloth tote bag for the PSU itself are a bit overkill. I'd rather these handful of cents went into even much better components on the PSU, but not seriously a huge deal on a near-赨 unit.

Fairly a lot as advertised. Don't have technical PSU testing gear but the power draw as far as the bios is concerned is spot on.Single RailReally QuietTinyHeavyUnderstated beauty The Most important, CPU and PCIe power cables are not flat. They are really thick and stiff sleeved all black wires. Tricky to maneuver... like wrestling muscular snakes. The SATA, Molex cables are flat but but regrettably are stiff as uncooked fettuccine. But for overly practically comically robust cables...darn near great. The 80+ common tests PSUs at area temperature, not realistic case temperature which is significantly greater. So it really diminishes the worth of this endorsement due to the fact what could pass at 22C (room temp) wouldn't at 40-50C (case temp). To the very best of my understanding Corsair don't cheat right here like so quite a few other businesses do and deliver the goods at case temp. Bravo Corsair!(I got this from a different vendor due to the fact I necessary lots of tiny pieces parts and build accesories that the Egg just doesn't carry)

Pros:-Great price for quality!-Extremely efficient.-Very quiet.-Compact, small unit.

I previously owned an HX750 and my idle temps were 35 (CPU) and 44 (GPU). I had issues with not enough power... so I bought this PSU and for some reason my idle temps are now 28 (CPU) and 36 (GPU). I don't know why but this PSU is absolutely amazing. Stable. Efficient. Quiet. I will only be buying the AX series from now on.

Its a Corsair. I have often purchased Corsair..Case, Memory, Energy Supplies and have been pleased. Cables are a bit on the short side. 24 pin cable was damaged (my fault). When I lastly got in touch with Corsair they told me it would be three+ weeks for me to order a replacement cable!!. I can't wait that long, so I'm going to get a silverstone power provide and eat this 1. I hate the believed of not making use of a Corsair energy supply. Why can't I get a new cable from a supplier? is Corsair the ONLY folks that carry them?

- Fully Modular- Quiet- 80 Plus Gold - None This was my initial modular power supply develop. My friend used a Corsair 1KW for his current make and it seemed like a truly sturdy power provide. I haven't had good luck with PSUs for my last few builds, and I hadn't tried them however, so I thought I'd give em a shot.I'm glad I did too! This is almost certainly the best supply I've owned. I liked that ALL cables were totally modular. They give you plenty of any type you will need. I have lots of spares that are prepared for far more HDDs or GPUs, which is usually nice. They even make storing the extras a breeze with a nice bag to put them in (something that I didn't expect but was happily surprised to see). This provide is quiet and effective which along with becoming modular had been my large needs. I specifically liked it getting 80 Plus Gold certified (anything to save on the bill and "be green" is cool with me). I nevertheless have some overhead as nicely if I ever want to SLI my GTX 460, and spare cables to do so.All in all a good buy.

operating fantastic, runs pretty cool.adequate outputs and cable selection for my constructgood quality cables (except orientation, see cons) i mounted mine in the bottom of the case. the SATA connectors are set up for leading mount. for that reason the connectors either have to be twisted upside down in reverse order or you have to flip your HHD's over. i rearrange my burner to the lowest slot and raised the HDD's and twisted the cable to fit them on one cable. there are many cables so it's not like you don't have sufficient, it's just not effective.

Quiet - super quiet - fan doesn't even come on given that my machine doesn't pull adequate draw on it! Came with sufficient cables & connections that more than 1ǘ are still in the box even with the case having five fans to hook up! I didn't read the whole detail sheet on it & believed the fan not coming on meant it was broken (until I researched it lol) This is in my Haf X case - first construct from scratch. Couldn't have been any less complicated with this PSU. I'll by no means purchase anything but Corsair once again.

Cons:-EPS12V not long enough to reach behind the mobo when used in a large case like the Define XL

Pros:-comes with a big bag of modular cables-very efficient-shorter than other 850W PSUs
Comment:
Solid PSU with plenty of wattage. Very good efficiency. Comes with a variety of modular cables. Corsair will even send you some for free if you request them. Using it with a Gigabyte Z68XP-UD5 board and it's stable. All voltage readings are within spec. Planning on sleeving every wire in a two tone black and white theme.

Corsair has impressed me once again with a quality product. If you're in the market for a 850W PSU, and plan on keeping it for future builds the AX850 is a great option. It is well worth the price difference compared to other products in the 850W market. Not only are you guaranteed a '80PLUS Gold' rating, but you get a PSU that runs completely silent. The fan doesn't even kick on until you draw 170W!

Has more than enough juice to power my system and any future upgrades. Modular cables made organization a breeze. Only complaint would be the price as it is not a cheap power supply. However in this case you get what you pay for. Would give 5 stars if it was sub $150

Small, to the point exactly where I was surprised at how small it actually was compared to the large 1000W models, at least.Quiet; if you can hear it running you either have no other fans in your case or are performing something Really wrong.Completely modular, which is great for cable management. Cables fit a bit looser then I'd like; I have a HAF X so some cables are a little stretched and fell out while constructing when or twice. (Especially the 8-pin connector which was a discomfort to replace as my heatsink is enormous)Two 8 pin PCI-Express power cables were excellent for my setup but I was surprised that, for the cost, 1 far more wasn't included. I have an overclocked 2600k, two HD6950's in Crossfire and at least six fans in my case, and this PSU handles it all just fine. Unless you are going for tri-SLI/CrossfireX, don't bother with a larger model.

Worked out of the box with no problems.Modular Cables were nice for my build - was in a position to trim down extra cables by not plugging in what I need to have. The fan only runs when it needs to. One much less factor generating noise unless it's required. As yet another reviewer mentioned, stinks that the molex connector string is four connections or absolutely nothing. Wish they had one that just had 2 connections (like they did for a couple of the SATA cables) - would have been handy for my fan connections.Price - rather high priced - if I didn't get it with a promo code, I wouldn't have splurged for the modular version. Can see cable length getting an issue in bigger situations. I built this into an Antec Lanboy Air and didn't have any actual complications. The 8 pin ATX connection couldn't be routed behind something, but that was a lot more an issue of the case than the energy supply.Powering an ASrock p67 extreme 6, ocz 120gb ssd, 2x1tb wd drives, gx 570 videocard, dvd burner, 2600k & tower fan.
