The Corsair XMS memory arrived as promised. Popped 2 sticks in 1 pc and two sticks in one more. technique recognized both sets immediately after boot up with zero complications The only con I can believe of is, I must have purchased two set for each laptop or computer rather of 1 set per. I believed the packaging was incredibly good and the memory itself looks superior in the each and every box.

Incredibly fast and no issue with my ASUS Crosshair IV Formula mobo None, except I couldn't get twice the RAM at the identical cost :) Corsair and Kingston are still my preferred RAM manufacturers. Corsair generally wins the speed test.

CORSAIR XMS 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory
Cons:-Seems to have some compatibility issues. With both my X58 and Z68 system 4 sticks of this error on LynX with 90% memory use.

Pros:+Cheap+Undervolts well. 1.3 - 1.35 volts and stable(this is not at MXP speeds)
Comment:
This memory seems to work ok, but strangely enough, they do not seem to behave well when running 2 sets together(4 sticks, maybe i should test 3, one day I will). They pass memtest(over 48 hours), but error in LynX u 90% memory use. They so far are not resulting in any errors in windows or BSOD's Maybe 16 gigs is just too much to test? There are many users with 16 gigs and LynX passes over 12 hours. and I can get that, but other times it fails in 1-8. I have messed with the memory controller and ram voltages to test as well without any luck.Oddly enough for its stock SPD not XMP timings, I can lower the voltage to 1.35 without any problems, even with all 4 sticks.I would buy more of this for my ITX board that has only 2 slots since it works well on that board.

Just drop it in and go. No configuration, prayer or RMA-due to the fact-DOA required. None. You get what you pay for folks.Corsair RAM can be โ far more high-priced than competing brands, but in 10 years of building, I've in no way received a DOA corsair stick.

Runs well..when it actually runs! One stick of the two keeps locking up memtest86+ and windows memory diagnostic. They don't report errors, they just lock up. RMA'ing right now. I also went to a neighborhood electronics store and bought a pair there. Identical factor. 1 stick of the two was poor. I tried swapping out mobo's just to be sure, it undoubtedly is a challenge with the memory. Here's hoping the RMA isn't a bust!! Is my luck poor?

Worked Terrific proper out of the boxes. Advertised as 1.65v, but mine run at 1.5v in an Asus P67 sandy bridge mobo. The board auto set the voltage. I've in no way had problems with Corsair RAM. my board limits me to 16gb of RAM. I would have gotten additional. I'm making use of 2 kits of this RAM for 16GB. I am working with ramDisk software program to develop 6-8GB ramdisk drives for compiling and rendering. Also shop windows temp files and firefox temp/cache on the ramdisk for general speed boosts. Was a less costly and Much far better performing option to SSD for read/write speeds.Benchmarks show the ramdisk's read/write speeds to be 6.49gb/s and 6.59gb/s respectively.Folks frequently think you can have ram overkill that you'll never use far more then four, 6, or how ever significantly. Perhaps true for the most part, but immediately after playing with modest ramdisk's, i wish i had one more 32, or 64gb of RAM.RAM is low cost, acquire a lot more RAM.

Superior RAM that runs greater than stated. I'm running it at 1.55V on a sandy bridge motherboard with no issues, at the stated 1600mhz cl9. 8GB is plenty, but 4GB need to be sufficient for now (i never ever use more than 3GB when gaming) but the 8GB is valuable for video editing and photoshop and other applications that require a lot more RAM. But who knows, you may require 8GB in the near future. Need to have gotten 4GB rather, but this came with a combo for 30 bucks off, so I went for it. I got these on sale and so far I am very happy with them. They have a low profile so they have no trouble fitting under my Corsair A70 cooler. They were a breeze to setup and 8GB for under $100....a steal!

Cons: 1.65v

Pros: Sale price and brand name
Comment:
This memory is more suited for the first generation of i5s, i7 as it is 1.65v where as SandyBridge memory normally is 1.5v. Still will work in a SandyBridge system though.

Can't ask for more, ~85$ for 2x4gb 1600mhz and from Corsair. I had really good experience with their customer service (RMA and such). For gaming the difference between 2200mhz and 1600mhz is barely a single FPS, great RAM.

Cons: None

Pros: Corsair2x4gb sticks (not 4x2gb)
Comment:
There really isn't too much to say; I haven't tried any overclocking yet so I can't comment on that. So far they are reliable and haven't given me any issues. I am using them with a Gigabyte 890FXA-UD5 AMD890FX motherboard which apparently has some compatibility issues with RAM?Anyway, the 2x4gb sticks is really convenient instead of 4x2gb sticks.
