It functions. It's ram. 2 of the 6 sticks were dead. Won't be returning them since its not worth the trouble to me. We'll see how they hold up considering that I've only had them in for about a couple of hours now in a new rig.

6 Gb kit, what can be wrong with that? Also, mem-test for 48 hours straight is solid, no errors. Memory runs without having issues at its rated speed. Wish there was a comprehensive how-to guide to optimize BIOS settings. Sticks are operating good, just hope the Core i7 CPU isn't slowly frying. Not actually a fault with the memory, just a wish list. By now, every person knows to select XMP in the BIOS (I have an ASUS P6T I picked up employed) to get memory to sing and dance at any speed above 1066 MHz, but I discovered other settings required to be changed, too. I set DRAM freq to DDR3-1600 (duh), UCLK freq to 3200 MHz, QPI/DRAM volts to 1.three (anything beneath 1.35 is considered quite safe), and DRAM Bus Voltage to 1.64. I don't know how this memory would fare if a user wanted to do some critical OC and I'll possibly never ever discover out, but at stock speed, it's nonetheless twice as quickly as the old DDR2-800 rig.

cost one stick bad 3 sticks in a Asus X58 board ran fine for about a week. Starting acquiring randon blue screens. Ran memtest and trace it down to one bad stick. Initial time I had a dilemma with Corsair. Put the two excellent sticks into a AMD3 board, will see how they carry out. Got them more than 30 days ago so past RMA.

What can I say - works properly. It passed a long assault of memtest suitable out of the gate. Paired with 3x1GB sticks of XMS3 I already had from 3񳏉. Identical latency, etc. Excellent shellshocker deal! Outstanding item so far. Slow latency? Works Incredibly nicely for my app, though. By going from 3GB to 9GB (triple channel) in Win7x64 architecture my laptop or computer runs somewhat faster when reloading information in games, but the jump is not as severe as some of my tech pals would have me think. Oh, and Newegg rocks as usual.

I bought two sets, for a total of 12 GB's of RAM. All sticks worked and were immediately detected and configured correctly on my Asus X58 Sabertooth motherboard. Basic searching, but I don't have a windowed gaming case so I definitely don't care. Solid. I've had very good luck with Corsair memory in the past and this was no exception.

Good warranty. Looks excellent. Solid performance once I got a set in which all the modules worked (but see below). Because then it's worked like a champ--detected just fine via XMP, and totally no performance issues. 1 module in the initial set I bought was never in a position to be recognized by my motherboard (and I tried each and every attainable configuration), so I had to send the whole set back to NewEgg and wait for the replacement. I recognize that from time to time that just takes place, but if/when it does, I believe that's a legitimate reason for subtracting one egg from a review. When I decided to create my own desktop personal computer, I talked extensively with several IT guys at function and did LOTS of research online. The IT guys and the majority of the on the net sources stated Corsair was one of the ideal, if not the best, brands of RAM out there. So I was a small disappointed when one stick didn't function. But NewEgg's return method was reasonably quickly and easy, and the replacement set works fantastic. So I would have to hear a TON of negative critiques just before I would question Corsair's quality in general. In truth, now that the value has come down by pretty much 50% considering that I bought mine (in Jan. 2010), I plan to obtain one more set.Asus P6TIntel i7 920Corsair CMX6GX3M3A1600C9 RAM Ɩ GB)Corsair 750 watt modular power supplyWD Caviar Black 750 GBBFG Tech GTX-260 superclockedCooler Master RC690

Got it for a great cost. Both sets (with exact same lot quantity) produced errors on tests Ť and ť of Memtest. Beause I was past the 30 day return period, I had to RMA them to Corsair. I hope that I have greater luck with the replacements.

I spec'ed my system with 6GB of Corsair DDR3 1600 and decided to add another 6GB after about a year. The results were actually better than I had hoped for. There were absolutely no issues with installation and the performance increase was noticeable. At $159, it was a terrific value!

Screaming fast memory and you will notice a difference with this memory. Came in early on the free shipping too! Price went up to $209 from when I bought it - $159 just a few weeks ago so I probably would wait for it to go down again.

I ordered the wrong memory and had to send it back. They was great about that. I needed memory for AMD Phenom II. I ordered the same style for AMD and it works great. I even got 8gb instead of 6gb. I also went down to 1333mhz because the 1600 was an overclock set-up and I didn't need that.
