Plug and Play chips. 8GB!!! None so far These sticks are installed on a MBP 17" w/ Core 2 Duo two.8Ghz. All the memory hungry computer software appears to really like it. Final Reduce Pro has been operating really smoothly without the spinning wheel. Photoshop and Illustrator operate is as smooth as a babies bottom. The jump from 4GB to 8GB can be noticed quickly!!

Worked flawlessly in a matter of two minutes. No challenges upgrading in a Toshiba Satellite L505-ES5018 laptop. Tiny pricey. NewEgg had this delivered to me in much less than 24 hours. My package departed New Jersey to Minnesota, all in significantly less than 24, and at a really affordable cost.

There have been no crashes because installing the kit. The cost is also particularly nice. A single of these days we'll spot laptop ram with heatspreaders. Obtain it with something else. Newegg's way of shipping ram by itself could be improved.

I wanted to max out my laptop and this worked good! Removed the old memory and installed the new stuff and worked correct devoid of any concerns Paid a little far more for memory simply because of its rating (and most likely high quality). Can't beat all five's on a item critique Memory worked on Gateway P-7801u FX laptop (probably will perform on all P-78xx series as well). Now all I will need is a SSD and quicker processor...

Cons:None

Pros:Older MacBook Pro recognizes all 8 Gigs
Comment:
This memory works great in my MacBook Pro 5,1 (Late 2008) 2.4 Ghz and Snow Leopard recognizes the full 8 Gigabytes. I played it safe and stuck with the 1066Mhz memory because I have heard there might be problems with faster memory.I don't regret it the decision.

I wanted to upgrade my Mac Mini Server to the max 8GB of RAM when it became apparent that CIV V could get a great efficiency enhancement for a lot more RAM ƔGB to 8GB). My system is noticeable more quickly when making use of iMovie, iPhoto, and so forth. None I've usually had the ideal knowledge with Essential RAM - I have however to be disappointed.

* Rapid (scores 7.1 on Windows 7 Pro, 64-bit) * Some Applications Unstable Whilst the OS as a whole (tested with Windows 7 and Ubuntu 10.04+) are stable, application crashes are occasionally a reality now. Some games turn out to be much less responsive (my expertise is EVE On the net with the Toshiba). This is by means of practical experience of two notebooks:Lenovo Thinkpad Edge 15 (AMD Phenom II, Radeon HD4700m)Toshiba Satellite L635 (Intel i3, IGA)Ubuntu kernel reports many errors in the logs concerning the memory which hold repeating, but memtest does no reveal any troubles. Either way, each systems are nevertheless usable.

Functions in new ཆ MBP. Greatest upgrade bang for buck. Quite effortless installation. Only space for 1 pair (not truly a fault of Crucial though). Hardest element was figuring out where my wife hid the jeweler's screwdrivers so I could take the back panel of the MBP off with out marring the surface or stripping the screws. Could quickly be installed by a novice with a little screwdriver and a steady hand.

It functions just fine in my 2010 mac mini. Great to have 4 instances far more memory than stock at a considerably superior price tag than Apple will sell it. Benchmarks place the speed of this memory just beneath the 2GB memory the method came with. Not so considerably slower as to make a noticeable distinction, possibly 1-2% slower. Typically I'd test and tune if this had been going into my workstation Pc (or any of my other PCs for that matter) but because this mac sees lighter use and my common inexperience with Mac hardware I've not gone by means of the trouble.

Its been operating fine for several months in my (late 2009) Mac Mini. Passed full Memtest and AHT diagnostics. Lots of headroom for running apps. Initial couple times I tried it, Mac mini wouldn't boot. I tried reseating them. Then I swapped them in their slots and mysteriously it worked!I looked extremely closely at the modules and they were NOT identical. Extremely slight color variation. The 'tech understanding' method is broken.

Rapidly RAM, noticeable upgrade, more rapidly boot time, web browsing very responsive. None. For me, upgrading from the 4GB Hynix RAM that came with the Z820 gives me the potential to leave a lot of internet pages open whilst streaming 720p video with no slow downs. I've also turned off the page file in Windows 7 Pro for added efficiency gains. Really satisfied with this upgrade.

Just wanted to let men and women know that this kit performs on the 2009 DDR3 iMacs. For some purpose, if you search for "Mac Ram" in Newegg, this kit doesn't show up. But figuring out that the iMac line applied laptop RAM, I went ahead and ordered this kit (cross referenced it against Important's personal internet site). Although less expensive than purchasing direct from Essential at the time of acquire, DDR3 ram is nevertheless pricy. Didn't realize the Newegg warehouse is so close to me (Los Angeles area), could have saved a few pennies with cheaper shipping, but that isn't Newegg's fault. A lot more RAM is far more RAM, you really should know what its for...
