CoolerMaster CM690 ATX Mid-Tower Case
Comment:
For mid-size case it is roomy and anything fits well. Have cooler master n520 installed and in a position to have two sides fan. There is about 2mm clearance between the fans but they are not touching each and every other so no problem. Removing the best is nightmare. Who ever developed the clip system produced five star case in to 2. I really like the case except for the leading clips which i already broke two of them. Fundamentally install the leading fan when and never bother to open it once more as you will eventually brake the clips as i already have performed unfortunately. Please redesign the clip method for the leading. Put in screw method or something else but the clip system is just very poor concept for quite superior case. I have this case for about 1 1ǘ years and already getting stuff brake is not a thing i would say is high good quality. Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Client - We apologize for any inconvenience. Comment:
This case has exceptional cooling, high-quality supplies and lots of space at a sub-贄 price. I was a small nervous buying this case with some of the complaints concerning the good quality of materials but this case feels and looks much better than the Antec Sonata III it replaced (as well as getting 3x superior cooling). I've owned Cooler Master, Antec and Lian-Li instances and this case is the greatest I've owned by far. Excellent buy. As noted by others, the front bezel needs some force to remove and it actually does feel like you may well break it off (it did ultimately come off with no a hitch).

NONE Just had my computer system shut off while plugging in my phone usb connecter to front panel. Read other critiques someone else said identical factor about the front panel 30% likelihood for it to cause black screen, properly last night my girlfriend plugged her phone into it and laptop or computer automatically shutdown. This morning same deal except when i tried starting it black up nothing....noticed problems in past with very same concern. But it obviously triggered a short and fried my motherboard or cpu chip. just occurred, buyer beware/owners TAPE it so you don't accidentally use the front panel. Great tool-less design, Sleek appear, Comes with cable management method (problem though [see cons]), Quiet with stock fans, and the price. I'll commence with the largest difficulty. The power LED is WAY WAY WAY too effective. If you plan on getting this case in your bedroom; look elsewhere. The light is so potent that I can make hand shadows on the walls. I have resorted to placing a book in front of the light to maintain my space dark at night. I program to unplug it altogether soon. It;s unnecessarily powerful. A note top case makers: We do not need to have our energy indicators to double as flashlights. The fans that come with the case aren't precisely the strongest; but then once again, that's probably why they run so quiet. Not genuinely considerably of a issue though with a superior heatsink. The final issue this case has is the cable management method. Though it is a extremely nice feature; they positioned it in such a way that if you have a large motherboard (wider than 9 inches), you have to take away them. Removal is easy; they just screw out. For the price, this is an exceptional case. However, I need to admit; if I had known about the intensity of the power LED, i would not have purchased this case. I mean, this light is friggin' Vibrant. We're talking as bright as a single LED that you may find in an LED flashlight.

This case is quite spacious, and the mesh design that comprises the top and front of it allows for some incredible air flow. Combine this with the truth that the case permits for up to 5 120mm fans, and you've got every little thing that you need to maintain the elements in it good and cool. I also really like how the USB inputs and headphone/microphone jacks that most circumstances would put on the front are truly on top of this case. It makes them easier to get to if you're putting this case on the floor (which you'll probably want to do, given its size). My only real gripe with this case is how easy it is to break the energy and reset buttons when putting the front panel back on. Prior to snapping the panel in place, be positive that the buttons are placed correctly.

Great design.Solid construction. Plenty of room. Tool-much less HDD mounting is fairly simple to use. Side mounted HDD's leave small space for SATA cables unless you have the 90 degree bent ones, but not a large deal. This case is fairly large for a mid-tower. Make confident you have the room. This is possibly the finest case I have utilized so far for a develop. Plus, with the rebate I got, it was super low cost.

This is a fantastic case, though a bit pricey. Lots of room, and being older, I will need that. A lot of space to add on more internal drives. Toolless features are easy to work with. Definitely impressed with having external connectors at the best of the case; it means I won't be bending over a lot. Like the cable retainers. Massive fans are a massive help for keeping more effective procs cool. Power supply at the bottom may possibly not be a excellent thought. Heat rises, so positioning at the best may well be greater for the rest of the components. Also, any buyers may well want to use a Cooler Master power supply. I purchased a Rosewill, and the cable for the ATX 12V connector barely reaches. Looks like it may get in the way of some video cards. The mounted motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H which has a new style of SATA connectors down the appropriate side, which need cables to be inserted horizontally rather of straight down. A couple of the case's retainer clips get in the way.

* Huge airflow* Ports on the best of the case rather of high or low on the front of the case, makes for an excellent below-desk install with no worries about cables in harm's way* Bottom-mounted energy supply* A lot of expansion bays* Matte finish doesn't pick up finger prints* Nice accents * Power/reset buttons are a bit odd. Placement is fine, but the direction you require to press them to get them to function is a little weird* The grille is a bit resistant to cleaning. Can't wipe anything up extremely effectively, and taking it apart to use compressed air would be cumbersome. I suggest a smaller, potent vacuum This case is probably the largest I've ever purchased. Even if you believe you'll have room to put it where you want it, measure initially or you could be disappointed. Be certain to leave space above, below, and to each sides for airflow.

Nicely Ventilated, quiet fansBlack interiorA lot of space Energy/reset buttons suck. Not substantially of a fan of the usb/headphone jack on the best of the casePretty Plain designThe side panel fan is loud due to vibrations. (Since the case is so properly ventilated, I don't even use the side fan) I utilized this case for my 1st build. Overall, fairly happy with this case. It doesn't appear cool, but it's a superior case. I took an egg off for the buttons and usb placement. The USBs are on the top of the case as if they wanted you to put the case on the floor, but then the power buttons are near the bottom of the case as if they wanted the case on leading of the desk...

Tons of room for HD's/DVD'romsMassive quantity of fan slotsAmazing customer service Not a fan of the toolless HD cagesBest panel eSATA never ever worked for me, both both usb and the audio ports not only work, but have none of the static other's have mentioned.Reset button broke off (not just popped out, but broke out). I've had this case since I bought it in 2007. I bought it due to the fact it can manage the amount of HD's I wanted, and I was switching from water cooling to air cooling so wanted a bigger number of case fans. The customer service was incredible. Two of my HD cages broke, so I sent in an RMA (in 2010 no much less!) on the website for the cages, and they shipped them out 100% free. I didn't pay for the parts OR the shipping. Apparently it's a lifetime deal they provide. In among all my moving I seemed to misplace the right side panel (behind the mobo), which isn't an issue for now, considering that like others have stated, there isn't a lot room if you don't use the 90 degree SATA cables. I'd be afraid to put the panel back on with my present standard flat SATA cables on, but if I ever replace them all with 90 degree ones I'd ask for a new side panel :)

Wonderful case. Lots of room for fans. Contrary to some reviews, the cable management system worked truly well for my needs. My last construct was a tangled mess. This one is wonderful. And yeah, fans, fans, fans. None. Does anyone use firewire anymore? I'd practically remove the firewire port on best and add a different USB.

The case is nice, its got a really good layout. Has room for a lot of fans.Simple Port access on leading No cradle for modest peripherals like Card readersBe cautious which PSU you obtain. I have a OZD 700wat something or other, and a Asus p7p553d-e and I have to A LOT of pulling and stretching of cables, specifically with a hyper 212 CPU cooler. Bottom mounted PSUs are a discomfort oftenBlue light in front in kinda of annoyingThese are all correctable issues though, def not a deal breaker The reason I took an egg off is not for excellent, but for customer service. Not on new eggs part, they rock. But, its been 3ቨ months and I havn't received my rebate. I've emailed CM twice and haven't heart anything.

A lot o' space. Cable management technique is very good, but not stellar, esp once you start off adding PSU cables. Docking bays for 3.5s and five.25s are nice and easy. Tool-much less install is a blessing. 60 prior to rebate is a decent price, receiving 20 back makes it even greater. Literally had to rip the front panel off. They're not kidding when they say that. Also, they put much more emphasis on putting the instructions in 12 distinct languages than they did on clarifying the instructions for any one step. Fits a Hyper 212+ on best of an Asus P7P55D-E Pro with an inchish to spare.

This is a nice case. Sturdy, Spacious, Black interior finish with no sharp edges. The only cut I got the entire build was from opening the shipping box. It looks good, big rubber feet on the bottom of the case maintain it from moving. Definitely a lot of places for massive fans. Even got it on Sale from newegg, arrived in two days. Rocks, I would definably get once more ~ Cooler aster Owns. In order to install any five.25 drives in the front you have to pop the front face plate off. Mine was stuck on there quite very good but with some coercing it popped ideal off. Not really a Con simply because It clearly shows you in the Case's instruction manual how to do it. Just a heads up it takes more force then one may possibly feel. Also the built-in cable management system is a nice touch but its mostly show, kinda useless, may be much better for builds with longer wires. I have in no way been a Fan of Screwless designs in the past but this case is just awesome. Rubber Tough drive mounts - minimize drive vibration - sideways mounting. Locking clips for CD bays, and a incredibly sturdy Card locking method for the mobo. All in All I was impressed. Oh and the power supply has a rubber mount that is kinda awkward at 1st but it provides it a extremely snug fit and cuts down on vibration.

-greatest bang for the buck-simply modifiable-lots of ventilation -simply fits 8 fans with a smaller modification-lots of room for cable management -the power/reset button are tough to use but ought to not detour you from acquiring this case unless you program on restarting or turning off/on your laptop or computer all the time. I modified this case by taking out the bottom fan holder and putting it in the front with a fan. You have to dremel the front frame a little to make the fan holder fit. The front case cover fits over the fan fairly nicely but you can dremel the fan cover down if yours does not.
