CoolerMaster CM690 ATX Mid-Tower Case

Nice big case for ATX MB. Power switch is definitely flakey. No clear definition for on/off functionality. Wobbles around and takes about 25 presses to get personal computer to come on. Wrote email to Coolermaster Support, but no answer whatsoever. Also, can\'t recognize how an individual likes the side mounted HDDs. Have to take the other case side panel off and then pull cables into a a single inch space amongst the curve around the HDD box and the side cover of the case. Devoid of the side cover on, the SATA and IDE cables protrude out at least 2 inches, so how are they going to last when they are crammed in to a one inch space? Also, there is no case speaker--had to order separately. Had case in box for over a year awaiting all the parts for a new laptop or computer construct. A decent quantity of space for cable management.Good "tooless" features for simple installment of disc drives, HDD's and expansion cards.Has 3 decent fans to aid preserve it cool, and can hold up to 7. None that I can consider of. It's great for it's cost.

It seems like it has great air flow. Looks nice. I built my initial ever construct in this. I've been aiming to build a desktop for about five years now. I'm glad to see almost everything working soon after lastly placing it all together. Toolless locking mechanisms were pretty effortless to use but I went along with some advice I heard and place screws in anyway. I'm deducting an egg for the stock side fan. The motor itself inside of the fan is producing a louder sound then the rest of my case combined. My second biggest source of noise is the stock fan of my 4th core unlocked X2 555 BE and its no comparison. I assume my stock CPU cooler is 80mm and the side fan is 120mm so there is no reason it need to be producing additional noise. The front and rear 120mm stock fans work great. I can't hardly hear them so I'm hoping a replacement will be a ton better. A small side note, the power and reset buttons are something to get utilized to. They look stylish(to me) but they are challenging to press. I'm actually thankful the fan is loud. If its not one particular thing, then its a different. I'll take a bad fan over just about something else that could go incorrect in my case.

Significant. Stable. Lots of fans/vents. Fascia is simple adequate to get rid of (plus, face plates). Handsome. Lots of screws! Swift-connectors for PCI cards function ok (sometimes). Heavy! Rubber feet have way too much grip. Side panels don't slide into spot or fit nicely. Huge, side fans tend to rattle. Lame side-corner power/reset buttons are awkward. HDD trays aren't the very best. Some sharp edges and metal perform needed.PSU is bottom mounted... Your call (based on PSU fans, I guess).SUPER Rubber feet! I can't slide the machine about to access or function on it; case will not topple when my residence falls more than, even though.PCI card rapid-connectors don't play nice with my "too major" GTX9800+ VGA. Plus, how generally do you "hot swap" PCI cards that you require this comfort?HDD trays slide in/out ok, but aren't 100% sturdy. Plus, there's pretty much no room for SATA cables when inserted.Lots of vents and air movement; dust collects in mesh and filters, so requires frequent cleaning.

Spacious, bottom pwr supply, sturdy. Heavy and...It resets my computer. Began carrying out this a month or so ago, initial with the top rated-mounted USB and audio ports. Plug some thing in (or take one thing out) and the laptop or computer resets. Now if I even touch the front metal mesh it resets. Not usual. Not acceptable. It's fixable confident, but QC in design and fabrication shouldn't have let this by way of.Also the standoffs had been missing and two of the three fans were unacceptably loud. Replaced with AM fans, and had to acquire my personal standoffs. Good.Won't be receiving another Cooler Master. At least it's sturdy. 20 lbs of sturdiness.And what's with the bottom mounted fan? Positive it's more airflow or some thing but it also sucks dust into the case from the desk (or floor). Unless you have it blowing down but then you're sucking dust in by means of the best fans. Just seems odd.

Well ventilated with a lot of fan space. Fits a 5870 and has plenty of space for additional difficult drives. I'm extremely mindful of removing the front panel. I've only carried out it as soon as mainly because it seriously feels like it's going to break although removing it.

Lots of space, lots of ventilation, love the top panel. Some of the screws got stuck into the spacers, some wont even stay in the spacers.Front panel looks good, but its a bit sketchy when you take it off to install 3.5" drives. Also, the case buttons are a bit weird, they feel rather inexpensive.

Great Searching, entirely screw much less (I adore how the hard drives just snap in), the power supply is on the bottom and has it's own vent so be sure to grab a power supply that will compliment that and has a bottom suction fan, large and plenty of space for everything. Case fans are a bit loud IMO but if your gaming or listening to music it shouldn't bother you. Hugely Suggested

For mid-size case it is roomy and anything fits well. Have cooler master n520 installed and in a position to have two sides fan. There is about 2mm clearance between the fans but they are not touching each and every other so no problem. Removing the best is nightmare. Who ever developed the clip system produced five star case in to 2. I really like the case except for the leading clips which i already broke two of them. Fundamentally install the leading fan when and never bother to open it once more as you will eventually brake the clips as i already have performed unfortunately. Please redesign the clip method for the leading. Put in screw method or something else but the clip system is just very poor concept for quite superior case. This case has exceptional cooling, high-quality supplies and lots of space at a sub-贄 price. I was a small nervous buying this case with some of the complaints concerning the good quality of materials but this case feels and looks much better than the Antec Sonata III it replaced (as well as getting 3x superior cooling). I've owned Cooler Master, Antec and Lian-Li instances and this case is the greatest I've owned by far. Excellent buy. As noted by others, the front bezel needs some force to remove and it actually does feel like you may well break it off (it did ultimately come off with no a hitch).

Its too poor that Cooler Master that normally has excellent merchandise has resorted to rebates they do not intend to pay. DO NOT Invest in THIS Item EXPECTING TO Get YOUR REBATE!!! It has been over 3 months and still no payment. I registered it on the internet and status right after two weeks was approved. Now, when you go to the rebate verification web page it states Server Error. I bought 3 of these with a total of ์ in rebates (ฤ per up to three). -Tooless design (putting in an HDD or dvd drive is soooooo easy)-Cable Mangement-Dust Filters-Incredibly Roomy (plenty of space for a SLI/Crossfire setup)-Fan Capabilities (I at present have the stock 3 fans and the temperature in my create usually stays about 33C unless Im undertaking torture tests :P )-Best I/O Panel (very convenient for me)-Not that heavy-Nice searching case (when my buddies come over they constantly say how nice it looks and whatnot :D) -power+reset buttons (they feel kinda inexpensive but they get the job completed and Im not a genuine freak about that kind of thing so it doesnt bother me.)-doesnt make me sandwiches when Im hungy Fantastic case. NONE Just had my computer system shut off while plugging in my phone usb connecter to front panel. Read other critiques someone else said identical factor about the front panel 30% likelihood for it to cause black screen, properly last night my girlfriend plugged her phone into it and laptop or computer automatically shutdown. This morning same deal except when i tried starting it black up nothing....noticed problems in past with very same concern. But it obviously triggered a short and fried my motherboard or cpu chip. just occurred, buyer beware/owners TAPE it so you don't accidentally use the front panel. Roomy, simple to run cables, solid construction. Tool much less drive bay's suck! All of them, not just this one. Challenging to put SSDs in the case. Overall a great case, specially if you are not working with a SSD

-Roomy (fits a gtx 470 NO complications and doesn't block RAM)-Best connectors are amazing, no much more bending over to plug stuff in-Case is high top quality / sturdy / heavy-No tools getting needed is wonderful-Tons of areas for fans-So many alternatives for configuring as far as placement-looks pro / gamer-Included fans are excellent, powerful sufficient to keep, and perform effectively -energy buttons awkward to push (I got used to it)-It feels like you're breaking the front panel when you take it off (you pull Very challenging)-awkward to take off side panels with fans connected Overall, I'd get this case once again. Fantastic case for initial timers, and has sufficient room to fit half of an elephant.

Great tool-less design, Sleek appear, Comes with cable management method (problem though [see cons]), Quiet with stock fans, and the price. I'll commence with the largest difficulty. The power LED is WAY WAY WAY too effective. If you plan on getting this case in your bedroom; look elsewhere. The light is so potent that I can make hand shadows on the walls. I have resorted to placing a book in front of the light to maintain my space dark at night. I program to unplug it altogether soon. It;s unnecessarily powerful. A note top case makers: We do not need to have our energy indicators to double as flashlights.The fans that come with the case aren't precisely the strongest; but then once again, that's probably why they run so quiet. Not genuinely considerably of a issue though with a superior heatsink. The final issue this case has is the cable management method. Though it is a extremely nice feature; they positioned it in such a way that if you have a large motherboard (wider than 9 inches), you have to take away them. Removal is easy; they just screw out. For the price, this is an exceptional case. However, I need to admit; if I had known about the intensity of the power LED, i would not have purchased this case. I mean, this light is friggin' Vibrant. We're talking as bright as a single LED that you may find in an LED flashlight.

awesome case, lots of space, looks killerdecent layout for cabling.I've modified mine some. tooless drives a plus leading panel a PITA to take away and subsequently broke about half the retaining clips so it's now a bit loose.At least the best panel comes off actual uncomplicated now.... good.

The case is layed out just and componets are uncomplicated to install. Black makes it difficult to see inside the case.

This case is quite spacious, and the mesh design that comprises the top and front of it allows for some incredible air flow. Combine this with the truth that the case permits for up to 5 120mm fans, and you've got every little thing that you need to maintain the elements in it good and cool. I also really like how the USB inputs and headphone/microphone jacks that most circumstances would put on the front are truly on top of this case. It makes them easier to get to if you're putting this case on the floor (which you'll probably want to do, given its size). My only real gripe with this case is how easy it is to break the energy and reset buttons when putting the front panel back on. Prior to snapping the panel in place, be positive that the buttons are placed correctly.

Great design.Solid construction. Plenty of room. Tool-much less HDD mounting is fairly simple to use. Side mounted HDD's leave small space for SATA cables unless you have the 90 degree bent ones, but not a large deal. This case is fairly large for a mid-tower. Make confident you have the room. This is possibly the finest case I have utilized so far for a develop. Plus, with the rebate I got, it was super low cost.

Nice layout, decent materals, tons of fans, has dust screens. lots of front panel capabilities. cheap. power button is goofy at greatest. pci mounts are low cost. drive mounts are low cost. worth the small price I paid. Would be 5 eggs but the power button is down appropriate goofy. I have a difficult time turning it on from time to time.

This is a fantastic case, though a bit pricey. Lots of room, and being older, I will need that. A lot of space to add on more internal drives. Toolless features are easy to work with. Definitely impressed with having external connectors at the best of the case; it means I won't be bending over a lot. Like the cable retainers. Massive fans are a massive help for keeping more effective procs cool. Power supply at the bottom may possibly not be a excellent thought. Heat rises, so positioning at the best may well be greater for the rest of the components. Also, any buyers may well want to use a Cooler Master power supply. I purchased a Rosewill, and the cable for the ATX 12V connector barely reaches. Looks like it may get in the way of some video cards. The mounted motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H which has a new style of SATA connectors down the appropriate side, which need cables to be inserted horizontally rather of straight down. A couple of the case's retainer clips get in the way.
