Used this for my first build. The only problem I had was that one of the cable routing clips needed to be removed to access the side mount SATA ports on the motherboard. That, and I can't get the power led to work right; not a big problem.

CoolerMaster CM690 ATX Mid-Tower Case
Comment:
The 3 fans on this case are a bit loud. My floppy drive no longer works after I moved it along with the rest of the hardware from my old case to this one. I also have it receeded into the case instead of flush with the front since the mounting was a little inconvenient with my other hardware installed. Can probably fix that when I try to get the drive itself to work again. The build quality is decent on everything but the 5.25 in drive bay tool-less clips. These are a little flimsy. My ethernet card is wedged a little as the clip to hold it in causes improper seating on my motherboard when done ''correctly'', so the tight fit will have to do. The blue fan on the front is nice as well as provides good ar flow with the other 2 non-lighted fans. Nice cable management and extra fan ports are a plus. Good case, but there are some imperfections that come with it.

First, this case is HUGE. Second, it is quiet. I am building a VM Machine that will run 24/7 and is in a central location of the house. The fans are reasonably quiet but experienced a slight ticking noise from the side fan. I could do without the blue led fan too. This is a well built case that is easy to use and has a bottom PSU location. Would have been nice if the MB tray came out though. Q6600, 8GB, 8800GT, 2x 320GB HD Cool as a cucumber.

This case is almost flawless, so much cooling. 3 fans coming standard. Very easy to install parts on it, only two flaws being the front cover being difficult to remove at first (takes alot of force!), and the guides for wiring didn't do much case much justice at all. That front fan with the LED is now completely blocked by wiring from my PSU. The motherboard blocked the wiring guides is basically what happened, plus it's an Ultra PSU so the flexforce wiring doesn't help either.

Nice looking case, neat tool-less assembly, the foam PS gasket and wire guides inside are a nice touch. This is HUGE for a ''mid-tower''...why is it so hard to find cases that don't take up so much space? Be sure to get a PS with long leads; mine are stretched to the max and just reach the mobo and HDD power connectors. (The PS came from TD a while back but I forget the stock #.) All the fan locations are bit of overkill, but this box sure allows lots of airflow.

I bought this case around a month ago and i love it. With a little ocz thermal paste on my Q6600 it runs around 34 degrees c. The case is very builder friendly. Everything from the wire clips to the mount screws they give you to the vibration silencing foam on the power supply is very thoughtful. This is by far the best case I've had between my last two builds with the four 120mm fan ports and what not.Thank you tiger direct for your awesome support and your great shipping service. No. 1 product,5's all around.

CoolerMaster CM690 ATX Mid-Tower Case
Comment:
This is a very good case. And to answer the whole question as to why the power supply is on the bottom, just goes to show most people don't understand how their power supplies work. Most *GOOD* power supplies will have at least 2 fans. One at the back for intake and one on the bottom of the power supply to blow air...you guessed it...down. Right on top of the CPU Heat sink and everything else. So as you can see from the pic, the bottom of this case has a bunch of holes there. Its so the PSU can blow the air out the bottom of the case and not onto the motherboard and other components. Definitely a great buy at $80.

As for the March 7th guy, I don't know what he's talking about, I have this case and my CPU and RAM stay at about 11-15 degrees C even though it's OCed. So it would seem that the powersupply at the bottom doesn't hurt it at all. Out of the 11 boxes I've put together, this has to have been my favorite and I just continue to add onto it. I recommend anyone buy this case, even if you pay 80, it is a great buy.

This is such a great case with no flaws besides the fact that my psu fan on the underside was longer than I thought and the vents didn't perfect match up but it was good enough for decent air to be sucked in...very nice case.

Bought this case for my latest ground-up build (my 8th) and while I'm not suprised, I am impressed. This is my second Cooler Master case and I am now convinced Cooler Master makes top-quality products. The design is intelligent and there are thoughtful touches all over the case. From vibration inhibiting foam lining the PSU bay, the innovative drive bays, to a cable management system; no corners were cut in the design of this case. Full and enthusiastic recommendation.

Got in a barebones kit, it was my first system build, and it was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Easy to get to everything in the case and easy install. Great case.

HIGHLY recommended. Well built. I have an Intel D975XBX2 installed in this case with the Intel Quad Core Q6600 OC'd to 3.0ghz. I also have 3 hard drives and 1 DVD burner. Cable managers which are included makes it simple to keep the wires bundled and out of the way which also helps overall airflow through the interior. My internal temp and my hard drives were running at 50c in my old case. In this case they're now running at a comfortable 35c. That's a 15c difference...wow. Don't see the need to add any additional case fans, the system runs cool with the 3 included case fans already. The case is definately a bit noisier as compared to my old case but it's worth it knowing how much cooler the system is running. Installing the motherboard and all the necessary components was a breeze, first had to remove the cable manager clips to get the motherboard installed then I was able to successfuly install the clips back. Your hard drives and DVD ROM devices install in a matter of seconds.

Great, great case! Can't really add anything to what the others have said, I love the way it looks, I love how easy it is to get into it, and I love how much cooler my system runs now. I've got an Intel Core Duo 3.2Ghz processor that runs around 30-335c even under high load. I'm not sure how this compares to other systems (haven't really looked into it), but it represents about 10-12C difference compared to my old case. Highly recommended.

Gave it 5/5 because cost to value ratio is really high. Strong construction, well ventilated and very nice to work on. Tool-less parts could have been tighter and hard drive carriers could feel less flimsy, but almost no hard drive noise from my 4 drives. Was worried that my X-connect PSU 24-pin cord would be too short but it just reached and my connector is at the very top of my board. Ambient case temp with 6 120mm fans and a room temp of 23C was 25C. Very pleased.

I have 5x120mm and 1 80 mm fans and it's just cool and the noise isn't bad at all either. I had to buy an extension for the 4 pin (ATX12V) supply with the powersupply at the bottom, so check this out. The case is big and lot of space, I have more space than I ever got and I am really bad for cabling (I don't really care about this usually). I had some vibration problem with the top part at the beginning, now it's stable and no sound. Quality could have been a little better, but it's just plain good for the price.

Great case. Love how it's all tool-less, and the why they have it setup to put in the CD-ROM drives is the best I've ever seen. Only issue I've had with it.... and i'm surprised I didn't see any other comments about it is that my old power supply (which was a decent one) didn't have long enough cables on it to reach from the bottom of the case to the top of the motherboard to plug in. I just bought a CoolerMaster powersupply to fix this... is better have long enough cables to reach.

All I have to say about this case is WOW!!!!! This is by far the best value you will get from a PC Case. This case makes the installation of optical drives and hard drives very simple. The case is very large as has a quality weight to it. The case comes with two fans(one front blue led, one in back no blue led)but it has the capacity for 2 more up top, 2 on the side(120mm or 140mm), and one at the bottom, for a total of 7 fans keeping your PC components cool. I have all but one at the top and let me tell you it helps to keep my OC'ed CPU cool with a stock cpu cooler. I overclocked my Core 2 duo e6320 from 1.86ghz to 2.4ghz and with the stock cpu it stays at 31-37C. This is just a wonderful case I cannot say enough about it, from the quality of the build to the front connectors(esata, usb, firewire, and audio) and liked the fact the power supply was to be placed at the bottom, it made it easier to manage cables. Don;t think get this case right now.

Awesome case. No cuts, bruises or anything. Fans are quiet, easy to maneuver in. Only minor issue is the transverse mounting of the hard drives bring the cables VERY close to the case side, so make sure you use cables that don't stick out far or the side won't close.

I have built lot of computers in the past and this is the BEST case I have ever worked with. Very good quality and no tools needed at all. Great airflow, 3 fans move air and keep things cool. I was worried about the noise, but it was so quite. I even used a flash light to look it the case and make sure they were all running. You can’t tell from pictures or description, but the bottom tray has a 3.5 inch adapter for a floppy drive. This was the only down fall on the case. Using the adapter the floppy drive stuck out to much. I used one screw to hold the adapter in so I could move it back into the case ¼ inch. No tools needed for hard drives. Drive trays flex to expand and collapse around the drive. Rubber pads holding the drive in the slot reduce vibration and keep them separated to allow good air flow to keep 5 drives cool and quite. Cable management keeps wires in place and allows good air flow as do the mesh air holes.Opening the 2nd door allows easy access to the cables.

Liked the case. Easy to install all the components. The only problem encountered was hooking up the front panel connectors to the MOBO. The power led connection did not fit the ASUS MOBO. The connector from the case was two wires into a single connector which does not fit the spacing of the ASUS on the MOBO. Had to cut the wires and splice two separate connectors to get it to fit.

Pro:Just an amazing case. You might read reviews about tense power button. But i prefer it to put a little pressure. The thermal performance is great and there is also 3 cable organizers installed into the case.Reducing the unorganized wiring. The rubber pads that act as anti vibration for your hard drives,Cd drives and the power supply.Case comes in great condition. Con:hmmm At this moment i can't think of one.

I just picked up one of these at TigerDirect. At first, I was looking for another full tower, I had one before, but the quality of it was very poor. I got this case as the price was very good, and even though it's a mid-tower, the position of the powersupply on the bottom provided even more space around the motherboard and components. This is an extremely high quality case! You can always tell if the I/O panel at the back fits in perfectly. Also, there is plenty of fans in the case, and the airflow is outstanding, moving cool air from bottom to top! A+ case.
