This factor is incredibly stable. I took a chance on such low critiques and I tell you either they are crazy or CoolMAX have performed an overhaul on their PSU's..This factor is wonderful makes for great wire managment. I advise this to anybody with a spending budget. You will adore it. NONE

Modular, ample energy for a mid-range system, a lot of cables/options for new configurations. Runs with steady voltage, burned in for 8 hours straight with hardcore gaming on arrival-still operating powerful! Can't beat the cost, thanks NEWEGG They say the heavier the supply the much better, this guy weighs a third of my Ultra X2 550w-not sure how much truth there is to the weight factor. Complaints abour cables too short: I'm running a Coolermaster Cavalier and the Tough Drives are at the bottom-SATA cable(with a y connector attached) worked perfect for each drives. PCI-E cables fit in my 9800GTX+ with extra length as nicely.

Worked, for awhile. Capacitors exploded, filling the room with smoke, and as one other reviewer stated, it sounded like a machine gun.

Terrific cost and it works The only thing I can believe of has been noted by others - the cables are kind of brief. I was able to make every thing work in a full size case, but it is one thing you may possibly want to consider.

I originally reviewed this PSU on 1ቨብ, despite the fact that I didn't put it into service until around March of that year.In the year+ that followed, this PSU has been used in a midrange gaming rig practically every day, and has not missed a beat so far. It has been quiet, stable and reliable, for myself at least.I got my rebate from Coolmax with no issues other than the rather long waiting period, but this seems to be the norm with any rebate. This unit does appear to crank out a lot of hot air, which is really kind of nice in the winter as it keeps the workplace/gaming room warmer even if I slip the thermostat down a couple of notches. In the summer, on the other hand, it can make the very same room uncomfortably warm, requiring me to crank the ceiling fan up to medium or high to compensate. The attached and modular cables may well be a bit on the brief side, but I've actually had no concerns inside my Rosewill mid-tower case. There's no external fan control or any other lights/bells/whistles, but for this price I don't expect any such extras. I've read what other people have said about sparks, flames and "explosions," all I can say is my unit has not exhibited anything close to this. I'm not doubting their experiences, only relaying my own.As with all items you obtain, caveat emptor! Your mileage may vary.

Comment:
So far appears properly constructed, cable layout thoughtfully assembled. Crucial cables all pre-attached, extra cables are modular, which keeps case clutter to a minimum. Fit in my new Rosewell case like a charm, no problems. Modular cable connectors a small complicated to insert, but not horrible or anything. No lights/LED's in the unit or fan (which some could take as a "Pro"). It doesn't make popcorn throughout those long gaming sessions, LOL. I'm piecing together a method over time, so I can't basically test this unit yet. I hope it works!

-Works (for a though)-Affordable-Modular-Quiet -Too couple of Sata connectors-The plugs on the power supply for the modular cables felt weak Immediately after about 8 months owning it the energy supply now emits an electronic sparking noise and burning smell when it is stressed. Obtaining a unique energy supply now, I never ever truly trusted this one.Specs: i7 920 (oc'ed slightly), 2x8800gt, biostar tpower x58a, 3x640gb samsung spinpoint, dvd/rw drive, 6gb ocz ddr3 1333 @ 1400
