Very good reliable power adequate for any enthusiast rig with 1 top video card. Quiet, and smooth performer. This was an eggstra unique at a very good cost. Ought to upgrade to 750뫪 or greater PSU if operating a number of high end video cards (Crossfire or SLI). It might even be servicible for a double Crossfire (not SLI simply because of power reqs.) rig in an intel program; but I'd want the headroom so not to overtax the PSU. Because of added power specifications of AMD CPU's, I would not advocate it be applied in a several Crossfire AMD rig.

I've by no means had any complications with this PSU, and I've been making use of a computer system with this PSU for practically 3 years now. Its liability is the greatest Not modular.... For the value, I'd anticipate to have that.

worked fine.solid looking case, a lot of cables, everything has black sleeves.quiet. not loud.cables had been all long sufficient to hide them/wrap them where i needed them. really heavy, "too quite a few cables", makes hiding them challenging, LOTS of molex's i dont need.didnt come with screws appropriate for the PSU. deducting 1 egg for this mainly because it brought on me some grief and ims till not content settling with the screws i had to use. solid PSU i imagine. purchased based off positive evaluations, you def really feel like its a quality item.time will tell, ive had the finest PSUs fail on me, so will report back if any troubles.had some difficulty installing this due to the weight and attempting to hold it up with 1 hand even though screwing in 1 screw at a time to hold it up whilst i put in the other screws. (see notes above, make certain you fit four screws in it ahead of you go into install mode).bottom mounted PSU in my case, but still created it somewhat difficult.

Packaged like it was created of gold. Came in a felt bag, which was a bit shocking considering that it will by no means go back in there. Solid construction and quiet as any PSU I've ever purchased. None. Whilst I liked the tiny fancy felt bag it came in, it wasn't actually required. Finest PSU I've ever purchased. Although I don't will need anyplace close to 650watts, it's excellent to have it if required. I've read many places that the PSUs are most efficient when they aren't getting run close to max output, so possibly it's great to go overboard with your desires.

it has good amps on single rail. it looks nice.it hasn't quit but. just like the guy below me the thing has a slight squeal to it that seriously isnt a deal breaker but in no way had any psu in 7 year's do that. i put my wife's psu in right here to confirm it wasn't anything else and no squeal. but ill keep it due to the fact the initial a single i got was bad at least this one work's. it will be my final time purchasing corsair. not actually anything other than no far more corsair psu's for me.

Employed on a number of builds and no difficulties at all! If you can afford modular connector that may possibly be preferable. I could but chose to stick with what functions! Newegg consumer service was quite valuable. Dead on Arrival. Every thing was put together, plugged the PSU up and turned the technique up, absolutely nothing happened. I double checked my connections, reseated cables to motherboard. Absolutely nothing.I believed surely I had messed up somewhere, given that all this hardware was brand new. I took it to the local Computer repair shop, they tested the PSU and told me it was dead. Fortunately they didn't charge me for that, but right after getting with out a laptop for close to two weeks now, I'm incredibly frusterated. I'm just hoping that the PSU didn't take any of my new hardware with it when it died, if that's the case, I'm going to be beyond angry. Manufacturer Response:Please RMA the PSU to Newegg or to Corsair directly. We are extremely sorry you received a DOA unit.External Link(s): Corsair Get in touch with Page|

QuietA lot of cablesEffortlessly powers my systemHasn't blown up For my fairly light create i have a LOT of added cables and in my clear acrylic case its a little ugly to have a rat's nest of wires chilling there, but in my case any non-modular PSU will do this so I can't justify knocking an egg for that.

I've now had two of these. One as a replacement in an off the shelf Pc I upgraded the video card in, and then another in a built from scratch Pc. Each have worked perfectly. none Corsair has a great reputation for creating quality PSU's, and it's effectively deserved.

This PSU worked good for two years. However, it literally went up in smoke and flames. Fortunately, I was in my office when it happened, and I smelled the smoke. Nevertheless, now the customer svc encounter has been just as poor. I RMA's the TX650, and following one week following their receipt of the poor device, their site did not even indicate receipt. Upon calling, they promised me that a new PSU would ship out the identical day, that the internet site status would be updated, and that I would obtain shipment tracking info right away. None of that has occurred. And, I am now with no a PSU in my main Computer for three+ weeks. Note - The timeframes for the RMA on the Corsair internet site are really inaccurate. I was even told that mine was only shipping mainly because I named in to request status with my tracking info.

- Good PSU- A lot of connections - Could have slightly longer cables- Would be a greater fit for a top mount case. Installed this in an Antec 3 hundred, my 1st bottom mounter. I would have bought a leading mounter to go with this PSU if I had identified what the cable length would be. Some of the cables are a pretty close call, though almost everything does plug in, if barely. I can get almost everything plugged in with no issue, if I don't employ any type of cable management. When I attempt to route some of the cables to get them around fans, etc, the connections turn out to be rather tight.

Worked out of boxQuietCan reach every thing Not modular (-1Ǚ egg)Can reach everything, but not prettily (-2Ǚ egg) It came with a cute little bag...which I'm not confident what to do with, due to the fact there are no extra pieces as it's not modular. I'd put my Crown in it, if Crown didn't come with its own nice bag...or if I drank Crown...man up and drink actual whiskey. Crown is for wimps.

--Stable voltages--Single 12V rail for no load balancing--In no way ever had a challenge with the power immediately after two+ years--Comes in a cool cloth bag--Looks nice None genuinely, just didn't last as long as I liked. The cooling fan died soon after 2 years and 5 months of fairly typical usage. I am exchanging the unit through Corsair's RMA and will update this evaluation if I have complications.I purchased a new Corsair 650HX (modular cables!) as a replacement, and will use the warranty PSU in a new create. I still love Corsair energy supplies, it's been operating fine even without the fan!

Very good PS with good spec's. Long cables and a lot of them. Capacitor whine (along with several other noises) make the unit LOUD! The other critiques are appropriate. The high-pitched squeal/whine, along with some pops here and there, began following about two weeks of use - not performing any OC'ing and 650 is far more than enough energy for my create. I mostly only hear this when the GPU is rendering 3D/playing games (I actually replaced a Radeon 5850 with a GTX 570 due to the fact I believed it was the card!) Nope - it was the PSU. I kept hoping that the unit would just die so I could RMA it. No such luck. To its credit it's nonetheless chugging along but is ANNOYING!

Has the connectors for every little thing you'll needA lot of power for a decently high level gaming system May not be a con to all men and women, but there are a lot of wires, and Corsair provides minimal supplies for cable management. My friend said it ideal: this power supply is reminiscent of Kthulu. Not an issue if you're applied to handling so several wires, but for the amateur method builder, this might be overwhelming. Otherwise, a fantastic item.

It runs my graphics and processor just fine. It stays about 40C even whenever underload and stays about 30C whilst idle. Sort of wish the cords were removable. I figured I'd put that title there just in case some people were cautious for receiving it with their AMD develop haha.

really like the appear, how the cables are covered, and the amount of juice this factor delivers. not genuinely a con, just a reminder to those of you who will need a four-pin... keep in mind to spilt the 8-pin into the 2 four-pin for the motherboard. thank you Newegg for terrific service.

It works quite nicely. Quiet and reliable. It isn't modular, so my case is totally full of cords. If you're concerned about heat buildup and lack of air circulation, keep away from this power supply. If you aren't developing a gaming computer system but call for a energy supply of this size then this energy supply is for you. Manufacturer Response:I'm sorry but it's a bit confusing to see a person list "it's not modular" when you did not obtain a modular PSU. It's not genuinely a "CON" for a non modular PSU to have unused cables inside the case. It certainly does not merit a 1 egg evaluation thinking about your listed PRO's. If the additional cables are an problem for you, we make two different modular PSU lines that would likely greater suit your needs.
