Wonderful Audio, for a Good price tag. Died 54 days soon after buy...Hopefully Newegg or Creative can resolve this. Otherwise its a good card I loved the card when it worked... But tonight it began emitting nothing at all but static. I attempted the obvious troubleshooting (different speakers, unique jacks, various PCI slot) Even tested a distinct sound card in the slot, and tested this card in a diverse machine and I get the exact same outcomes... It makes me quite sad that this excellent card could die so quickly... |

Sound output is sufficient I have Windows XP SP three and I never ever found the appropriate drivers to make this device work. I went by means of the driver CD, the solution web page, and even did some investigation of my personal on Google. I was never able to uncover the whole suite of drivers to make this device perform appropriately. If all you're searching for is just sound, then this is the device for you. If you're searching to use the mic with ventrilo or teamspeak, you're in for a enormous disappointment. I would NOT advise this device for XP users. |

Low-cost I kept finding low-level conflicts that triggered lockups and crashes. Sound excellent not any far better than onboard audio (although this may possibly be connected to the driver problems). |

I just updated to 1.4.9 or a thing like that and they gave some windows 7 help. Now you have all those great choices, such as EAX, and 24bit audio with 96KHz sampling. All added benefits of a sound card. Crisp audio with no hissing or ugly noises. CMSS-3D sounds seriously fantastic, so much superior than that matrix mode on my speakers!Seriously affordable! I had it for two months with prior drivers working with windows 7 and the card was horribly disappointing. Just update your drivers! |

The sound on this sound card is by far the best i've ever heard, also a large step up from my Aopen Cobra AW840 Sound Blaster (which i nonetheless have). Works well with SRS Audio Sandbox. The application I do use sometime. Other people have complaints, but I have practically nothing to say about it. Hey a sound card is a sound card. As lengthy if it works and also performs nicely with SRS Audio Sandbox with no problem. I am content with it. Demands to have an HD Front Audio Port on it Sony MDR-XD100+Bass Enhance from Application+SRS Audio Sandbox= Taking complete benefit of my headphones |

Way better sound high quality than my on board audio. Makes my games sound way superior. Well worth the price. Terrible driver support from Inventive but can't complain its an old card. I DIDN'T GET A Creative STICKER!!! Do they even do that? It would be nice. Worked with SBA_PCDRV_LB_1_04_0061 drivers with windows xp. I don't know about the windows 7 drivers. Ill be testing these later. |

A lot much less distortion than the onboard audio of my Dell XPS. Didn't know how to disable the motherboard's audio, so it took awhile to get up and operating. |

Very good cost when on sale with reabate The sound card will perform with Windows 7, but only in a standard mode. You can not use any of the apps that come with it, so, can\'t setup speakers or do other more advaned things. I will need to have to by an additional card for my Windows 7 system. I attempted the drivers from Inventive, and from Microsoft. All had the exact same challenges. The card will finish up back in an XP Pro program. Reading all the forums, appears that there is no true solution. |

Worked flawlessly for five+ years! Nevertheless works perfectly fine in Windows XP 32-Bit only. With the recent driver update for this card in Windows Update from November 2009 weighing in at 33 MB's. This card is officially botched for Vistaǝ ࿀ & 64 Bit). New driver adds assistance for CMSS 3D & other whistles but crashes your computer with a variety of random errors. "Rollback driver" DOES NOT function if you place in this new driver. You can\'t search for the old driver dated Could 2009 weighing in at 25 kb only!! on Windows Update or Creative. The old driver was a fundamental driver but it worked. You can download fundamental driver from Creative's web site dated Jul 2007 but it will set up but give you BSOD after 1 or 2 hours. You really should appear for "DanielK" drivers they weigh in at 787kb they work flawlessly in Win7 64-Bit but it's "unsigned" Chuck that as nicely. If you have onboard audio off Realtek ALC899A You don't want this. That onboard is vastly superior to this garbage. I have it in my Gigabyte motherboard it even has a optical out on the motherboard itself! SNR for Realtek is 106 db this issue is only 100db. Realtek sounds crisper & clearer at peak volume as effectively. Granted this card is "a bit louder at peak volume" but I don't listen to anything a lot more than 75% volume. I adore my ears you know Besides if you want crisp audio at far more than 75% volume you must invest in a decent AMP & a great card from "Audiotrak" not this garbage.Do your self a favor & check your onboard audio's specs or appear at an additional brand.Wait for inventive to come up with new card all their X-Fi points are garbage they can't even write proper drivers for it & in turn sue the pants off men and women who can eg. "DanielK".This card is a rebrand off - Sound Blaster Live! 24-Bit, X-Fi Xtreme Audio, Audigy Value, Audigy LS & Audigy SE. All these card have the exact same specs! |

Operates fine...better than on-board...and better than any of their high end cards, which I consider to be buggy garbage.Does a very good job in a Shuttle low-end box.Puts almost everything else Creative makes to shame, which actually isn't saying much. Essentially somewhat colese to my Striker in overall performance. It is nevertheless a Inventive item...and their support stinks, to place it mildly...as does their bloatware. Nicely, my numerous computer systems have 5 Strikers, 1 Claro HALO, and this lowly little Audigy SE. I like all of them. The least expensive of them is the greatest Creative solution. I would stay away from all other Creative items like the plague. |

*It fits into the PCI slot*Doesn't want PSU powerႀ-bit sound quality *Horrid previous four hours attempting to get the software program to turn out to be compatible with the sound card*Windows 7 drivers didn't assistance whatsoever *I'm incredibly stressed as I've waited for this for about five days. (I was an Idiot and ordered it on Friday >.<) I'm not certain if I'm just becoming stupid, or I don't know sufficient about sound cards, but I just can't get the computer software to operate. like the equilizer and all the nic nacs. and it sucks! I was sick of receiving distortion with my integrated sound, and granted the sound card works hardware wise, but not getting what I paid to have really blows. Hopefully I get some kind've assistance following I post on inventive's support page. |

Lots of nice software package to configure sounds, utilities and updates, got it in three days. Replacing a SB16 card (and AC97 on board) with 500% improvement. Just before the front and rear speakers canceled every single other out, now they perform with each other and the music sounds like it is supposed to. Way much better than AC97 as well. For this price tag and service, you won't uncover anything superior. no XP Pro SP2. If I had additional dollars to invest and intense speakers, I would get the X-Fi. With front and rear speakers with woofers, the Audigy sounds great. |

I'm back to this card. Considering that I've had nightmare experiences with the others especially the garbage onboard stuff.Just make confident you use Driver Version 1.04.0065 from Inventive's site. Don't let Windows Come across it automatically for you the drivers. The New drivers disable the "What U Hear" recording function. You can still record what your playing thru cloning the rear speakers to output very same as front ones but there is static white noise although recording, You can't get rid of it. I've tired every little thing. Stick with the old driver they weigh in at ten MB's & function in Win 7 64 Bit. Stable 24x7. No Cons now. Just adore this card. It's funny how a lot of foolish people today say my new USB 2. sounds greater than my old audigy They seriously require to figure themselves out. Yes this doesn't have digital but if you want digital etc. You currently are an audiophile & have an high priced Recivever. For the rest of us analog will do. Besides I can bet you this sounds practically as very good as digital in analog mode as nicely. Never ever go back to onboard there is tons of efi/white noise due to it becoming challenging wired to the motherboard. There will in no way be escaping that. Onboard audio on motherboard's is an Epic Failure. There is nothing at all additional to say. Whoever told you it sounds much better than my Audigy is just flat out lying. It could be different if you use Digital input but like I stated if your on Digital you shouldnt be reading this. That's all This thing goes sturdy for 5+ years. Inventive may have gone shoddy in the pmp market place lately but I trust them fully now for Computer audio no doubt |

Stuck this factor in my old Dell Dimension 8200 to replace the dying on-board sound chip. Connectors and every little thing match like a glove and I no longer have that annoying ground-loop problem I was having. Only a minor con; just right now I had to reset the input so I could listen to the Line-In. Hopefully it won't be a recurring difficulty. If I ever do give this personal computer to an individual else, at least they will be in a position to use the analog/digital features of this card.
