Great deal and works great
Comment:
Installed it in my new GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H motherboard. Works great, considering getting another 4GB to fill up the remaining memory slots. |

Best RAM for the price
Comment:
Though I still think RAM is over priced this was the cheapist 4GB I could find, and it works like a charm, so no complaints. |

Ballistix Memory
Comment:
I built a new M4A785-M ASUS mother board with this memory and my Quad processor AMD Athalon II x 2 works fine with this memory so far. The system has been running continuous for five days 24hrs daily with no hick ups. My audio recording studio software is demanding when it comes to memory and now is very fast and painless. I used the first two slots for the 4 GB of memory and I am pleased with this brand of memory. I think you would do well to use this brand of memory. |

Worked for several months
Comment:
I bought ballistix memory and ran it at the lowest default settings and they failed not once but twice- first time they replaced the 400 dollar memory with cheap 100 dollar dimms and those have failed now. I wait for my RMA number as a needed machine sits here idle. to top it off I bought 1000 dollars of ballistics for my other machine and that failed too. Replaced with the cheapest available dimms and so far those are still working. Each failure meant at least 2 weeks without my computers. I am now shopping for replacement memory and it will not be crucial technology memory - Worst customer service ever!!! |

A problem I had
Comment:
I like this memory in spite of a recent problem. I built a quad core using 4 sticks of 1 gig memory. After awhile the computer was extremely slow to boot. Eventually it started to boot with no video showing on monitor and then would stop and teboot repeating this process. When I sought help, I was told my Gigabyte mother board had failed. I then bought a newer Gigabyte mother board and found that the problem still existed. I tore the computer down to bare esentials removing half of the memory and found it worked. The short story is that one of the four memory sticks had failed. I have had other memory fail, but never exihibiting this problem. Call me a fool, but I still like this memory enough to buy more. |

Crucial Ballistix 4096MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz
Cons:Watch out for motherboard compatibility!
Pros:Fastest and most overclockable DDR2 on the market. Comment:
I got these on sale, and I'm impressed. I can run 4 of them on my P5Q-E at DDR3-1066, 5-5-5-15. Just watch out for motherboard compatibility, especially if you're assembling a new rig - the Asus required a BIOS update before it would recognize them. Thankfully I had another stick laying around. |

Had some issues at first, but now seems to be fine
Comment:
I have a Gateway system running Vista 32bit that is 3 years old now and I had some stability issues when I first installed this. It would freeze up and afterward would not boot until I removed and reinstalled them. I had to play with the RAM slots several times to get the most stability I could and had to load the safe BIOS settings instead of the optimal ones. I am not sure if the RAM is the issue, or my hardware. It has been running well for several weeks now and I have since upgraded to Windows 7 without any issues of stability. Seems that my woes may be behind me now with this RAM. |

Ordered two pairs for a total of 8GB. Works Great! Windows 7 (64-bit), Photoshop, games, video, and everything else on the system just fly! Might not need all 8GB, but the head room is what I needed! Would recommend this product to anyone! |

Just what my PC needed
Comment:
Great memory. Fit right in the slots perfectly and easily without having to press down too hard or fiddle around endlessly to make sure I was lined up with the slots. It only shows up as 3.4 GB but I learned that there is a 4GB TOTAL memory limitation with Windows or something like that....so it has nothing to do with RAM. Before, I only had one 2GB stick and was crashing A LOT while playing games or editing video or large photoshop files. Now it runs like a dream. |

Just what the doctor ordered. |
although this is one of the cheapest 4GB DDR2 kits at the time, it still seems to be comparable to other higher price units I have bought in the same market. It seems to fall just short of other benches we have done with similar hardware, but all in all, worked perfectly for the application.
