Speed as advertised (for sataII given that that is all I have suitable now), Fast, Windows 7 doesn't even show the startup logo- swirling orb things at all, a couple of screen flickers and the desktop! tends to make everthing function harded to maintain up. To those that are thinking of an adpater to mount it... i put 1 screw in and it stay ideal, i mean, this thing weighs about as much as a postage stamp. ALSO... if you have a dell vostro 200 (i know, i know) pick raid as sata mode in BIOS, that will turn on ahci ROM, then install intel matrix plan, but don't raid it to something if single drive.

Component of Windows 7 Home Premium fresh install on three yr old create w AMD dual core 2.1 and fundamental SATA two. Gigabyte MoBo. Win7 loads in 17 seconds, so cold start to prepared in about 30 seconds. All MS Workplace apps load in < two seconds. Wonder how rapidly it would be with SATA 3.? Initialized and formatted w/ XP then installed Win7 on SSD with no difficulties. Ideal upgrade ever. Total on ssd right after Win7, complete MS Workplace, and Norton = 17.3 GB, so 40 GB for other apps. none
