1 out of 3 cards purchased runs fine and not overheated. It is not noisy. Two out of three cards purchased from NEWEGG have been DOA. Fans are functioning, cards are heated, nonetheless there have been no video signal during and following POST from every person card; as a consequence can't run dual or triple SLI mode on a rig. I purchased 1 of these cards initially and decided to add two more.I normally do not benchmark or look at FPS a lot but I was just playing Day Of Defeat and noticed it was fluctuating involving 220 and 300 FPS.Yeah it is an old game but it doesnt take a lot to impress me.Specs were higher.I am happy.SLI scaled wonderful.3 way SLI went up a decent amount but it would depend on the game. Some games actually decreased a few FPS.I am certain with yet another drive update the little quirks will be worked out.I imply technically these cards are still in their infancy and carrying out incredibly effectively.Contact Of Duty Globe At war is running 60 to 110 FPS.New Egg got these guys to me in a little more than 24 hours and there have been no deficiencies.New Egg has carried out me wonders.I only had 1 small situation but it was fixed(Asus mobo)seems like usually some sort of Asus solution has problems.I have had no difficulties inside 7 months. The 580's are out and AMD has a entire new line coming out. This is not a con but just a self reminder that just when I believed I had the prime of the line one thing better comes out.Its funny.Last year Nvidia was all but absent about the holidays. It is nice to see all this technologies trickle out appropriate ahead of x-mas.I am in geek heaven. But as for cons goes with these cards I cant come across one.Alot of individuals complain about the power draw of these cards.I have three of them and a ton of other stuff hooked up to a Computer%POWER COOLING 1200 and the set up could not be a lot more great. The only factor I dont like about the initial cards is the cooling set-up.These cards should have had 1 a lot more fan added.Even if it had been the little 1 that is on there now.Not worth taking an Egg off for.But at 1st they have been getting toasty.Over 100c. In my original review I had mentioned that these cards got quite hot.I went into the EVGA settings and turned the fan speed up to among 70% and 75% and it has carried out the trick.I generally game for about an hour, our and a half and the highest the cards have gone was 74c.Now that the 580's have come out,the costs will be dropping so do your self a favor and get one of these,or add an additional.

This card ate through my two GTX 8800 in SLI + a third card I installed for Physics. It quite considerably plays something in higher. FPS are outstanding. I think a single is enough, because 2 might be a bit of overkill. The fan is a bit loud. The Step up system allows me to switch this card for the GTX 580.

-Low idle temperature compared to previous card-Low idle energy draw compared to preceding card-Pc is 150W at Idle, 170W as i compose this critique-Exceptional stable framerates on demanding games-Laughs at crysis warhead! EVEN AT 16xQ AA-General reduced power consumption than my old 8800GTX, much additional efficient!-Operates nicely inside the specified temperatures by the manufacturer.-The extra overclock for a meager price tag improve is a plus, even though I've never seen such increases in clock speeds make significantly of a difference. It's just assurance that your card has been tested and ensured to be able to assistance a larger clock.-Will support HDMI 1.4 3D output for 3D Television's using the stereoscopic option.-Superb driver assistance for these cards as dictated from previous practical experience.-The AMP rating for energy supplies is a COMBINED rating! I'm glad! I have the juice! For 1 card at least! SLI and Crossfire appear sort of like a gimmick anyway. -If you use EVGA Precision to turn the GPU fan to 100% your laptop or computer will fly to london at Mach two. Luckily it stays grounded on it's own. The fan never gets above the noise of the currently present and relatively quiet case fans I have when set to auto. -If it were a hot day and my air conditioning broke, I may possibly take it uncomplicated on the card, or strap it down and place the fan on 100%.-CON TOWARD Microsoft Flight Sim X, this card has confirmed that that simulator is just awfully written. They named it "future proof" well it's 3-4 years since it came out and it nonetheless runs like garbage! The head programmer of FSX went to on the new Larabee GFX cards to be coming out, so remain away from those when they come. He will have messed it up plenty.-Contacting Nvidia for anything is not possible. Fortunately you will have EVGA as your mediator. I had an EVGA 8800GTX for a lengthy time, great card. It's been finally beginning to lack in performance now. I skipped the 9xxx and 2xx's they didnt offer something I didn't want to wait anymore for a 512 Cuda card mainly because it most likely wouldnt be a major difference, and I figured that all the testimonials were bogus because they usually are. This card has enhanced the power efficiency of my pc by about 30%. My laptop or computer can idle with the monitor on as low as 150W now as opposed to 200-225 with 8800GTX. In the course of gaming on games like Crysis or Just Lead to 2, the power draw will ride about 350-375, and lower for much less intesive games like WoW. This energy draw is about the exact same as the old 8800GTX but this card is carrying out so significantly more.Everyone wants to regularly be reminded that Nvidia cards also accelerate physics with PhysX (where applicable) with a seperate chip so you're receiving 2 for the value and power of 1! I'm extremely content I bought this card. It'll last me for a lengthy time.

Excellent card. A lot of memory, fast, handles everything I throw at it without a hitch. Playing planet of warcraft with max settings and acquiring 190fps in most places. In greater pop areas like Dalaran drop to among 27 to 50 or so FPS but thats supposed to happen. 25 man raid 70 or so FPS.DirectX11! Price tag. I really like these babies! I was making use of the GT9650, but it didn't play SC2 to the max. It's a totally various game now!Uncomplicated to install, functions perfectly. Graphics cards are ahead of their time right now. I don't advocate doing any SLI till MOBO's can catch up. These cards are two substantial for the existing process.Owner's manual was worse than valuable. I didn't know that you had to plug each card in, 1 at a time, to get Windows to recognize them. Took me hours to figure that out. Windows only recognizes the principal. Have to take out, and replace to get windows to recognize second, then put the initially card back in, and hook up to SLI.Owners manual ought to have stated such reality. Other than that, these are best. ATI has cards just as nicely, but if you want top quality and consumer service... These graphic's cards are the centerpiece of my new technique. I decided I wanted to SLI two of these, and went from there.

SINGLE GPU!!!!!!!!!! cannot stress this enough. had driver and game compatibility issues galore with 2 gtx 295's. This is the first EVGA FTWin edition card that really WORKED at the speed it was clocked to. people saying it runs hot... idk why it runs fairly cool id say idle around 40 and max load around 80. that seriously isnt undesirable, people are just freaking out. even if it got 90 it can get hot. the new intel atoms can get 125C thats crazy but it can take it. Not as effective as i believed it would be. Starcraft two gets down to 20-30 fps on ultra when in a massive battle. for 500 dollars thats not cool. i replaced two gtx 295's in quad sli. nearly each game i played does NOT fully help quad sli, at least with this card, so the possible of this setup was not reached in gaming. on 3DMark Vantage the 2 gtx 295's got 35000 and the single GTX 480 got 22000 or so. step down as far as benchmarks but no game worked completely with the quad sli anyway. ill just have to get two 480's 1 day. This is the very first EVGA FTWin edition card that in fact WORKED at the speed it was clocked to. i had an evga 285 gtx ftwin and it would crash all the time at the speed it was overclocked to from factory, and i had to run it at standard speeds to preserve it from crashing. there were no heat issues either. it died lastly and rma'd it for a gtx 295 ftwin and it crashes and does not run at the 684 mhz its clocked at. ought to run at 650 MAX or it crashes. no heat complications either.

High fps and seriously good physx. This babe can take something you throw at it.Uncomplicated to install, it also comes with extremely great application from EVGA, to overclock and monitor the overall performance.EVGA lifetime warranty if you register it within 30 days at their web page. High price tag and power consumption. some men and women have complained about the noise and high temperatures. I will have to say it is not that loud at all unless you manually set the fan at one hundred%, otherwise the fan normally stays at 44% whi is not loud at all.Temps are high, particularly in really demandin applications such as DX11 games but do not reach the 100C as some people today argue, the highest i have seen it has been about the high 80's C

I own a SuperClocked 8800GTS by the similar business. Its temperatures are high, but the Nvidia Integrity of their GPU (being why their charges are high) and the fact their drivers improve with time and these who own 2 year old GTX 2XX can run 3DǘD vision....shows Nvidia thinks long term. You can purchase a GPU optimized for each and every Direct X series, and it will scale effectively and can be held for a extremely extended time...Like all Nvidia cards I've owned in the past, I never ever have required to acquire a new cooler for an Nvidia card. The stock cooler does fine and has cooled for years with no errors.A great factor about the extra clocking of superclocked cards is that it proves their memory and GPU has higher integrity as they can withstand much more. It implies if I want to, I can downclock or have it run at the non-superclocked speeds and not danger the card blowing out if I ever need to have to. I have not received it nevertheless and I hope it fits in my situation. :) I want this for the same reason everybody else desires it. Its high priced but I know I can maintain this card for years and Nvidia won't leave me out of the rain. I will know in a couple of days. I have read a lot of issues, about energy consumption, noise and everything else. Truth is that most ATI card owners are OCing their cards and purchasing aftermarket coolers for them...even though talking about low power consumption.Video cards are about performance and longevity. We all know if we can't break 60 FPS and at least have that about for a handful of generations, that its worthless. :(All in all, I hope I am not disappointed. ^^ What seriously produced me get this card was that a poster here had his card fail...and eVGA straight left a response by way of newegg to aid this individual. Now that is service. This card is high priced and possessing a lifetime warranty and trade-up plan as nicely when registered becomes extremely essential to defend your investment. My 8800 GTS is also by eVGA and it has not failed and when my HD4850 failed (which I bought here from newegg extended ago, ^_^) the 8800 GTS carried me by means of and proved to be more stable as effectively. I genuinely owe a lot to this card and the firm that brought it to me. Certain, I can say "they have my income" but to come to a web page and reply to one more who has a failure shows they are behind their prospects...one thing I don't see a lot from other suppliers.I own far more ATI cards than Nvidia cards and one particular cause I am getting this is to transfer my 8800GTS into my Linux Box and place this card in my Win 7 box. Nvidia perform well on Linux, what else can I say? Ty ^_^ Newegg! :)

I upgraded from evga 8800 gtx in sli to one of these and yes there is a massive difference in performance and gfx rendering top quality. Have constantly been a loyal fan of evga cards. Card idles at 46c on automobile fan. I do like how the card turns itself down even though idle to save on energy and heat dissipation. Runs HOT!! 92c while playing games like metro 2033, aliens vs. predator, crysis, bioshock two, and yes i do have a very effectively ventilated case. Had to underclock the overclock on this card cuz i get poka dot red & white blotches on screen when it gets up to temp. I'm hoping its just a driver issue but i doubt it cuz when i turn the card down it doesnt do it. I knew i should've just went with the standard 480 gtx. Card certainly needs to be liquid cooled. Minus 1 egg for an overclocked card that cant overclockMinus 1 egg for disappointing me.Minus 1 egg for not worth the money

You can set all the settings to the highest. Comes with all the cables and a no cost HDMI cable. Free of charge game is included. The free of charge Just bring about two requires forever to download. Wish it came with a accutual DVD of the game rather of downloading. Video cards heats up speedily simply because factory settings for the fan is set beneath speed. This bring about a lot of crashes from overheating. High priced and overprice with all the difficulties that it has. every single now and then the card shuts down in mid game because of heat. If want to get this card make positive your space is air conditon sufficient to keep tempature of gtx 480 down. no cost game wasn't worth waiting for weeks to download and play. evaluate with ati 5870 this card isn't worth that significantly more. Factory settings for fan is horribly set to the lowest fan speed which trigger blackout and artifacts in game play. remedy is to use evga percesion tool to set the fan speed larger. percession tool doesn't save settings to card, so every single start off-up you have to apply the settings which tends to finding annoying considering that you spend so much funds for the card. Knowing what i know now i really should had purchased the more affordable ati 5870 than this garbage. = (

I have had this model for really a whilst now. The temps have been crazy. 53-59 idle, high 90s load. Just crazy. I know Nvidia sez it'll manage it, but lets face it peeps, some of us offciados just don't dig temps like that. I did remove the gob of TIM on the DTP HSF set up and that drop the temps a couple of degrees, but some thing required to be performed. Low and behold! Thats why the creator made water blocks baby. Slapped on a Koolance VID-NX480 and now obtaining 34-36 idle, yes, my eyes did a double take, and load? Never ever EVER over 45C ever! Yeeeehaw! If you're a temp freak like moi, get a block, these oven baked Fermis can be cooled down sufficiently. NOT A CON: Making use of a Feser 360 with GentleTyphoons 1850s and have the CPU Heatkiller LT block running by means of a 240 Black Ice. DOnt gripe about the temps, get a block?

GTX 480. It'll boot into the initial login screen, but following putting in the password, it goes into the "Welcome" screen with the small loading circle spinning. It'll either freeze at this point (cursor frozen also) or it will go into a black screen and freeze up moments later.I've tried all the obtainable driver revisions for the 400 series, all of which present the exact same dilemma. Amongst every driver installation, I uninstalled and removed them with Driver Sweeper in secure mode. For the time getting, I've reverted back to the GTX 295 which operates perfectly. Would not suggest this card till the card or drivers have fixed this problem.I'm certain evga will just tell me to RMA it and after testing it will perform fine in their testing Computer'sI just truly hope u take this problem that I'm getting and so a lot of other I read post about are getting and get this solved soon.Thanks... .

When it wanted to operate it created the best graphics I have ever noticed. Wonderful discover for exotic paperweight enthusiasts. Regardless of what game I was playing (BC2, The Witcher, WoW, AoC, Borderlands, SC2) soon after a couple of minutes the program would lock up and call for a difficult reboot, everytime, no exceptions. All drivers were updated, then rolled back, then updated again and so forth etc, 1000w PSU, followed just about every troubleshooting solution I knew of or could find bla bla bla. None of these problems occured with my old 9800. The 480 was a single of my initial purchases when I built my new Computer. By the time I was finished with it my 30-day RMA window was gone so now i'm stuck with a 躱 dollar shelf ornament. The box is cool I guess. I was most likely just unlucky, seems like a very good card but I was naive in thinking it was certain to perform. Make sure can use it comparatively soon right after you get it simply because it is doable they'll mail you a faulty item. I spent properly more than a grand on this website recently and this was the only item I was unhappy with (but sadly also the most high priced) so no qualms with Newegg. Manufacturer Response:Hi,Please get in touch with me directly at jacobf@evga.com so I can offer you a resolution. Please reference your Newegg post when the e-mail is sent. Thanks,Jacob

Quickly. Rapid. Quick.Free HDMI cable included. Value. We bought this from a competitor and had been not disappointed in any way, even so, two days after placing the order, the 580 was released so we returned it for that a single. We did install it into our program just before returning it and it was amazing. We upgraded a GTS 250 and the difference was instantly noticable. As noted above, this card has an HDMI cable included - the 580 doesn't which was seriously disappointing - all in all, upgrading this card was adequate for our program and we regret returning it for the 580.

I have an MSI version but the most targeted traffic and buyers go EVGA so im posting right here. My IDLE is 50c and Load in most games is 75-80c.(I play COD4 alot and it under no circumstances goes over 75c!) I get a 90-95c at 100% load in benchmarks like FURMARK or kumbustor if i leave it on for a although. So in the end it runs quite cool. My gtx285s would hot 88-90c in furmark. This MSI version overclocks amazingly in MSI afterburner. This card also beats my gtx285s in SLI if i overclock it to 800core or far more. Well i had trouble at very first with the msi afterburner and the fan assistance. I was playing cod4 and i must of left FAN on manual lead to it never went over 44% fan speed. I looked up at the on screen display although i was playing and saw it was at 106C!!!! It was in yellow letters warning me. I speedily got out and it dropped to 80c range and i had to mess with the afterburner fan settings. Im amazed it didnt fail. So its capable of 100c+ but not for lengthy. So the con is a user error not actually the card. lol if something this must be in the pro as it withheld 106c. READ Right here! it might enable your temps. This card is more than enough power to run close to everygame at 60fps so you can UNDERCLOCK it. I run mine at 607core and 1671mem @ .963volts and it still smokes everygame. Also if it has VERTICAL SYNC in the game Allow IT, cap it at 60FPS and your load on the GPU will drop to 50% or much less. Point-- Bioshock2 runs at 100% GPU load and i avg. 150-200FPS in the game at max settings. I get 90c temps although playing. I did the two actions above i wrote about and my load now it 45% and i still keep at 60fps 100% of the time with temps only at 75c! Its neat to see the 200fps but its not worth it at 90c+. Overclocking.....I got my MSI from 700core to 945core! @ 1.138volts!My memory from 3696 to 4500! with 216.8GB/s speed!GPU validated .four.4 code (dxk9f) Nos!The volts at 1.100 will not hurt your card and underclocking might blue screen it if not enough volts. So i did my house operate and located out some neat items so go figure out yours. Hope this assists.
