It's heavy adequate to be a paperweight? Fully unstable using both WHQL certified driver sets from nVidia. Swapped my old 8800 GTS in soon after becoming unsuccessful with the 480 GTX through many driver uninstallation/reinstalltions, reseating the card, and so on and the 8800 worked like a charm in Furmark. My 480 GTX couldn't get past the windows log in screen without the drivers crashing.20 dollars to spend for an RMA on a 550 dollar (supposedly) good quality video card is a bit tough to swallow when newegg sold me a negative card, but I don't have a selection. Hopefully it'll take less than the week and a half it took for them to ship it out the initially time.

Super quick card , makes a good heater can`t wait for winter to maintain my room warm ;-). I bought two of these to run in SLI, 1 of my cards had been poor and under gaming it would blue screen my pc. I got with EVGA and they RMAed it with no issues. I identified on line that you can get the high flow bracket for no cost from EVGA just spend shipping. the brackets are wonderful and do drop the temps on this card about 5c so thanks EVGA. Here is exactly where I found the totally free high flow brackets. http://www.evga.com/articles/

I have an additional one, its quickly, but my 2nd is a paper weight. Opened it to setup SLI, and it shipped with two 4pin molex to 6pin PCIe energy cables instead of 1 of those and a 6pin pcie to 8pin pcie like the initially one i got. so I registered it, and sent in a rma request for them to send out a cable, like i have in the past with other cards, and typically they are fantastic and send the missing accessory correct out. this time... nicely, the cable need to be made of gold, due to the fact its going on a week and im nonetheless playing e-mail tag with EVGA on this. Frankly it would be faster to just buy a new powersupply with the right power than to wait for this cable i need. Disappointed with EVGA consumer service, this time about, I have over 30 EVGA products under my belt and usually they have been great to me, this time, its like the grand inquisition, for a penny portion. It will definatley make me assume twice on the next part i acquire to go with yet another brand. Manufacturer Response:Hello,Im sorry you have knowledgeable such issues. Please contact me at Srobb@evga.com and I will be happy to setup shipment of the apropriate adapter to you.Thank youShannon

This GPU totally tears apart every single single game I throw at it. It literally eats the games alive. Running all my games at 1920x1080 resolution and it is as smooth as butter. Crysis and GTAIV are entirely maxxed out and this thing doesn't slow down at all. Totally worth just about every penny I spent. Completely none. It's a small on the high-priced side, and was the most high-priced component in my develop. Luckily, as soon as you see how potent this card really is, you realize that your money was properly spent.I've read via some of these reviews prior to I purchased the card, and some folks were complaining about the heat and noise coming from this thing. Personally, I don't know what their issue was. This card idles around 39C and barely cracks 80C under 100% load. I can't even hear the GPU fan over my case fans, so not positive what the other people had been talking about.SPECS:Antec Nine Hundred TwoEVGA E760 CLASSIFIED X58Intel Core i7 950 @ 4GHz6GB CORSAIR DOMINATOR GT DDR3-2000EVGA GeForce GTX 480 SCGet this card.

One of these will run anything by itself. Games like Metro 2033 will run 30 FPS on MAX settings @ 1920 x 1200. Not genuinely anything. It is hot, read below. The fan is loud at maximum. This card can be really hot, but that isn't a big concern for me. It can manage becoming at 80-90c just fine. If your card idles at 70-80c you're performing one thing incredibly wrong. Mine idles at 30-40c, and maxes at 80c. I've gotten it more than 100c nonetheless, though that was benchmarking Heaven max almost everything before I installed the EVGA Precision tool (though an updated NVIDIA control panel allows for the same fan and clock control). Even at 102c, the card was nonetheless fine nevertheless. Either way I suggest keeping the fan at about 80% in the course of DX11 games. Anything other than that will run @ 70c with about 50% fan speed (which is insanely quiet).

Amazing good quality and performance as usually from nvidia. If you plan on running this card with stock heatsink and fan then don't waste your income. This card gets way to hot and the fan gets way too loud.-1 egg for high temps and loud fan I am running this card with a liquid cooling setup. This is the only way the card was worth buying. Otherwise it is too hot and too loud.My temperatures are nice and low and performance is incredible.

Graphics power property. This replaced my GTX觟.The 480 beats the 觟 in benchmarks clearly.Runs games on max settings with ease.No troubles with the drivers,Uncomplicated set up. hot card soon after playing newer games. Not too poor though with the proper set up.The Thermaltake Level10 appears like it was developed for this or one thing close. I would like to see the F. T. W. edition when or if it comes out.I have 3 of these cards running in 3-SLI and yes, they get hot.You will definitely need a powerful case fan or two,but I recommend water cooling.Yes,the parts to run water cooling run high in cost but,to push these cards beyond expectations you will need to have to spend the dough. On water they can be pushed up to 910MHz.Also to stay away from the slight bottleneck you will want to overclock your CPU along with this(or two or 3)card.

Speed demon... I have Never ever been able to watch adult cinema this quick. Seriously although, it does get the job carried out in fine style. Vidual high quality is A+ and I have a Trimon monitor, so frame rates in games are wonderful even though its rendering in 3D. Recall Simple Bake Ovens? You could shove a pan of muffins in my case, play 2 levels of Battlefield, have a snack once the muffins are carried out, and then throw water on the card to develop a steam sauna. I'd obtain it once again, but I wish these card makers would design chips that are rapidly and don't produce so a lot heat.

Quick, rapidly, rapidly. 1) Hot! Anticipate temps to bounce in the neighborhood of 90C.two) Massive. Make confident your case/motherboard can accept a card the size of a patio brick.three) Pricey.four) There are two bundles of wires on the 8-pin connector jack that comes with the card to connect to your PSU. Only the bundle with black/yellow wiring will power the card in my encounter at least. Would be nice to have a label or something to tell folks that. The quantity of heat produced by this card is a bit overwhelming. A big case with lots of fans is fairly possibly a should if you decide to use this card. My 1st one was dead on arrival, which I discovered ridiculous for a 躔+ item and hence dinged it with only 1 egg in my 1st assessment. In this day and age excellent control should be the number 1 priority for producers, or you'll lose your clientelle incredibly swiftly (of course, with no refund policy it's a bit tough to do!)

This card is a beast. You can\'t say anything bad about this card. I have no heat concerns or anything at all. This IS the single most effective (single GPU) graphics card on the consumer market and if you have the funds then go for it. This graphics card is the single component that will give you the highest gains in gaming efficiency so don't skimp on your video card. None I had heard of horror stories about people today having unreal high temps and then they checked there TIM and it was all dried up (and right after only owning it for not even a month) so I removed the heatsink and utilised the arctic clean thermal material remover and surface purifier and put AS five on there just to be safe and I'm receiving low 40c temps at the most ( but I haven't had considerably in the way of video card torture testing but). Acquire this if your not affraid of having the very best gaming expertise of your life. And if you can afford it then purchase 2 and SLI it mainly because the fermi cards are know for there superb SLI scaling.

It's amazingly wonderful.I purchased one for me and my wife. Hot. Hot. Hot. It runs at 89C - 91C comfortably but it heats up the room. Even additional with the wife playing also.

Brand, warranty, large, intimidating, can max out all my games and the tessellation is second to none. Overclocks and scales (SLI) really nicely.AMD will come out soon with the 6xxx series, rumors are that the 6870 will woop the 480 by 30% while running as cool as the 5xxx series. This is very good news given that NV will have to lower the cost on the 480's. A bit warm below load but im more than-volting so no complaints given that its under water. Just nitpicking =) Lawrencendlw requirements to check his temps again due to the fact I utilised MX-three + dual loop WCing and my idle is about 43 and load about 85F. On air this card runs hot, I tested it in 72F ambient and the idle was @ 50c and load would quickly hit 100c when operating furmark extreme-burn-in test so its virtually impossible that he is in the 40c arena. Should be snowing in your room!

This card shreds. With the suitable hardware supporting it and the correct case to preserve it cool, this card will run any game, any settings at high frame rates. Metro 2033 and Crysis: Warhead for example run beautifully at fully maxed settings. The stock heatsink in fact works fine with this card -- a huge plus thinking about the heat this thing throws off. (It's expensive sufficient with no having to purchase an aftermarket heatsink or going to liquid cooling. lol) Happily, I have none to report at the time of posting. This card sucks down much more than 450 Watts of energy. MAKE Sure YOUR PSU CAN Manage IT.With the stock heatsink/fan assembly, this card runs at 80-90 degrees Centigrade under load. This is in my Antec 1200 ATX Full case. (Arguably the finest case in terms of airflow for those who air cool.) IF YOU DON'T HAVE A COLD CASE, THIS CARD Could GET TOO HOT.These two are not cons simply because with a properly set up rig (which anyone contemplating this card really should have), this card will perform extremely suitable out of the box.

This card is a beast. I wasn't expecting it to be able to handle DX11 benchmarks with max settings, but it can handle Heaven two. full settings @ 30 FPS. I haven't played a game however that it stutters with @ full settings, which includes Metro 2033 which has some incredible graphics. Although I read reviews about it heating, I wasn't expecting a solid 90c during games. It is pretty absurd how hot it can be, I'm waiting for certain GPU coolers to come out for it. That being said it seems to manage the high temps just fine, which is why I'm not taking off an egg for it. Undoubtedly worth the cash IMO. It is pretty expensive but I can't see how anything can anxiety this poor boy.

Ive been following the cost of this card in specific for almost 6 months now.. it utilised to be a LOT far more high priced. it expense like ๛ far more just three months ago! it was 贄 much more 6 months ago!as for performance, well just google for some benchmarks and get ready to be blown away! this is the single most powerful single-GPU video gfx solution out there, period. someday, years down the road, i'm going to get anther 1 for SLI. now that will rock my world!! you've only got 30 days to register the item @ www.evga.com otherwise you lose out on the opportunity for a lifetime warranty! man, that would suck to miss out on!! EVGA has a 90 day step-up procedure.. which is the only program of its kind in the entire business!! the worst part about spending 躔 on a video card is.. what happens in 60 days when a competitor releases yet another card, and it's twice as powerful as yours? suddenly your card isn't even worth 1ǘ what it employed to be..........so, EVGA provides you 90 days past your retail store buy date to 'step up' .. you send in your card, they give you 100% retail value on that card towards the acquire of a newer, better EVGA card for 90 days!! three months guarantee that i'm not going to regret spending this a lot dollars on a luxury video card..... I'll by no means purchase a different brand card once again!

Exactly where do I start out wow this card is bloody se xual chocolate so to speak. It is by far the quickest card I've had in a lengthy time. Upgrading from a geforce 280 to this was like ambrosia and worth just about every penny. Works wonderful and does not show the heat that other users have reported.Present temps reporting are 40c under load and 80 at the most though under load (Mafia two with every little thing on ultra, Just trigger two the identical and Starcrat two) on air. Present case is a COOLER MASTER HAF 932 RC-932-KKN1-GP Black With the above case i never ever see the temps rise over 80 and i don't even hear the fan even with all noise about me off. It's not the F TW version from EVGA ;) Overall i am quite happy with this card so far. It's a fantastic upgrade for those that have the income and a nice card to look forward to for those who don't but will in the future.
