Sturdy. Higher Excellent accessories included. Web site delivers great service and buyer help. Looks cool with the E light and temp reader. BIOS has lots of advanced characteristics for overclocking. Both 775 and 1156 heatsink socket assistance. If your not operating the 5ቝ񳏊 BIOS or higher, your going to have sound card difficulties. The sound will randomly cut out on you then a reboot will fix it. The update fixed the concern completely. EVGA is new to generating motherboards. Set up your 775 heatsinks before putting your mobo in case. The E light is sort of random, but it appears truly cool ;) I have no concept what the heart beat of it corresponds to.

There have been no complications in installing this board. The board is largely effectively organized, with cables not possessing to cross more than the motherboard significantly, if at all. A lot of connectors for everything you might want. The on-board temperature display is very handy. Overclocking with the Eleet utility is straightforward adequate, and I pulled out a good little 10% overclock on my processor and memory with no difficulties. I am not overly concerned with overclocking, and I am positive it can go Much larger. Did not set my Mushkin memory at the correct clocks out of the box, but I didn't expect it to. I truly would not want to motherboard to just pump 1.8v into memory with out asking me initial. There is no fan header on the bottom proper corner of the board, so I necessary an extender to connect the front fan in my CM690 case. Also, the Eleet utility isn't all that excellent, but it is a totally free optional addition. I am not certain if I like the pulsing "E" or not...

Nice board - lots of attributes, fantastic troubleshooting for prevalent troubles like memory, etc. This motherboard won't work correctly with Itunes on Windows 7 - 64 bit to sync either an Ipod Touch or Iphone 3g. EVGA refuses to acknowledge the problem even though their forum website is filled with consumer complaints. I would possibly have bought a Gigabyte or ASUS board..... Manufacturer Response:Hi,Thanks for the critique, I am pleased to announce that right now we have released a BETA BIOS intended to boost USB compatibility. We appreciate any feedback on this release. You can uncover the updated BIOS's right here: http://www.evga.com/forums/tt.aspx?forumid᠎Thanks,Jacob

Easy to set up anything on it. It has lots of area and it has that final further row of screw holes that I have been missing in my additional large case. Oh, and the glowing E is pretty cool. No IDE connections! I didn't even consider to look for it prior to acquiring. Yes, the manual sucks. I got the pdf from the manufacturer's web site. I'm delighted with this board. Runs rock solid for Windows 7 x64. Plenty of attributes and I am greatful for the raid support. SATA connectors are in a awkard spot. This really is not a bad issue but anything you really should retain in thoughts when developing a method. I am actually liking the blinkin E (eye) that is on the motherboard. I made a machine for a client and I can not wait to display him.All round I am satisfied with this obtain.

Potential to be a excellent board Bought this board for the capacity to SLI. I obtain to GTX 260s get it setup and will not run SLI due to there being a dilemma with the card in the x8 slot. I switch the cards about very same problem.. Will not even boot into windows if operating video card alone in 8x pcie slot. Reinstalled each card in an attempt to get sli going once again. Will not boot back into windows period with something in the x8 slot now. So im sitting here with a useless gtx 260.

Eggcelant motherboard! Has lots of functions for "tweaking" in the BIOS, while I do recommend a BIOS update when you get your method up and running. Runs my core i7-780 Excellent! Would have liked to see a BIOS flash utility from the BIOS but it's not worth knocking an egg off. Also the Intel RAID controller on board won't permit for clonezilla disk images b/c it's not /dev/sda or some such. (Using RAID in my setup) I am very pleased with this board and I am glad I have had no difficulties with it (so far). This board is excellent for the price tag point and features. Great Purchase!

Nice hunting and performing board. Built in diagnostic tool, external sata ports. Got this board about a week ago and installed it the identical day. I am operating an i7 with 4GB Ram. Like I stated I'm operating 4GB of RAM but my specs say that only 1.99 GB of that is usable. I have searched all more than the web devoid of a clear answer. Some say that the RAM is not seated ideal but I checked that a fantastic quantity of times and if it wasn't then it possibly wouldnt say I have 4GB to begin with. I have also read that men and women who have 8GB of ram have only 4GB usable so I dont really know whats going on. I will have to call EVGA and hope they can aid me with this but hopefully it is not a MOBO concern.

This issue has almost everything you would want, and then some. For the value it packs a lot of functions into a board. Worked right out of the box with all of the other components I bought just fine. The board itself looks gorgeous as well. I've read that the space in amongst the graphics cards can get a tiny tight if you attempt to sli them. Nonetheless I haven't picked up a second video card however, so this is not an challenge...But. The pulsing red light cool!! :)

Very good, solid board with several features. WARNING - if you want to set up XP on this board, you have to slipstream the Intel SATA drivers into the XP set up package Very first! I use a neat little plan known as nLite which permits service packs, drivers, and custom packages to be slip streamed into a bootable OS set up. Prior to setting up XP, get the most recent BIOS and flash it. On boards with older BIOS (pre ෟ), there is an annoying double (re) start off in the course of boot up. The latest BIOS from EVGA is ෲ. Then go into the BIOS and allow AHCI SATA assistance with hot swap. This will completely enable all the SATA characteristics on the Intel chipset. Otherwise the board will default into IDE emulation and you will not get all the capabilities of SATA. Note: XP 32 bit will only support about two.5 gigs of RAM. This is typical and a function of 32 bit limitations. I installed an EVGA video card with pass by means of HD audio on the HDMI bus. It brought on conflict with the Realtek analogue driver. Set audio output manually. FLASH with newest BIOS Initial! IDE emulation set as default in BIOS. Ahead of setting up an OS, you have to go into the BIOS and enable AHCI help for SATA. If you don't do this 1st, the OS will set up as an emulation of IDE method and you won't have the positive aspects of SATA (hot swap, eSATA, RAID, etc.).Support on the EVGA internet site is not well organized, but tech support responded rapid by means of email - no reside chat. Following updating BIOS, all had been troubles resolved, but had to re-set up OS to allow SATA support. This board works well, but you have to jump via a couple of hoops very first to set it up effectively (especially with XP). Save oneself a headache - UPDATE to most recent BIOS Initially and set BIOS to AHCI to allow full SATA assistance. For XP, slipstream the Intel SATA drivers into the OS set up package ahead of setting up.

Great layout. Fantastic worth. Properly packaged with suitable gear. Effortlessly usable BIOS for OC. 2.eight Lynn to three.8 stable and cool. Corsair Water cooler all-in-one mounts simply. There is a extremely handy map of the mobo in complete size with little boxes drawn about what is exactly where and a blown up pin diagram. This significantly improved assembly time. I have noticed none but the RAM did take a tiny finesse/forum work.

Really nice to search at. Has everything you require for a P55 develop. Pulsing light looks nice with a window, CPU set up straightforward and memory fit nicely.PCI-E lock functions well Backplate didn't fit perfectly, but no biggieMakes noise like its about to break when putting CPU lever back down, but no worries Haven't attempted overclocking on it, but all the common OC options appear to be there.Go ahead and update BIOS promptly from EVGA web site as properly as audio and other drivers.Though its an SLI board, the back of the box says it supports CrossfireX, haven't tested but it says it

Every little thing advertised (space, SLI, obtaining each LGA 1156 and 775 heat sink holes mounting points, lots of USB connectors, and so forth...), as nicely as some less-advertised features like the debugger LED and the little quirks the board has. I count the beeps at post to make positive all my peripherals are becoming recognized, and getting a temperature display is specially great if your case has a window. Fixed a memory problem with the debugger, too. The blinking EVGA symbol is also fantastic, for aesthetic factors. It's best in my CoolerMasters NVIDIA case, stays cool, and does anything it's supposed to do. I take one particular egg off because the 1st board died along with my new Core i5-750 processor and the relatively new Rosewill 500W power provide. I'm not confident which killed what, but I do know that Newegg sent the replacement power provide and processor inside days of receiving them, whereas EVGA had my shipment pending for three weeks. I will say, nonetheless, that their tech assistance team was superb for me. The only situation was the RMA department. It practically missed Christmas. Nevertheless, now that the whole program is set up, I'm perfectly happy with the speed and effectiveness of this board. All of the capacitors are solid state, which is brilliant because the old motherboard had not been so lucky. The board is also really nice to look at, and the placement of factors feels great. Lots of fan connectors, as well, which is wonderful when your case supports up to six fans. Flashing the BIOS is uncomplicated, and as long as you're not using XP, almost everything runs peachy. There were audio troubles with XP--issues had to be done and drivers had to be installed in a particular order. Windows 7, on the other hand, had no concerns whatsoever. I ended up leaving XP soon after realizing how well 7 went with the process.Oh, and there's only a single firewire connector, so you can't use the additional rear panel as well as a firewire port appropriate on the case. Choose one. eSATA was aplenty, even though. All round, I adore the factor. It was hard to watch the initially 1 die, and specifically tough to wait for the second, but now that the system is built, I adore this motherboard. Worth just about every penny.

- Plenty of slots and outlets- SLI assistance- lots of function indicators- Posting was quite valuable through setup- Looks great- E-LEET application is beneficial for monitoring and overclocking - Integrated documentation could have been much more helpful, but the forums and more detailed manuals on the website were handy Wonderful motherboard. Fairly intuitive to use, even though I was generating my initially make, and lots of attributes to adjust. I'm not overclocking something yet, but when I decide to attempt it the included utilities will be actually helpful.

Still waiting for the pros. Socket is sloppy and the pins don't make all the chip contacts effectively. Some get in touch with points have two pins hitting others have none. Chip slides about in the socket so it is hard to make sure it lines up. Has not completed POST however! Challenging to deal with customer support vie E-Mail since it requires two organization days for reply. The EVGA support web page is not easy to navigate either. Manufacturer Response:Hello,This is not a prevalent challenge, and is really alarming. You may well want to call us directly at 龸) 880-3842 as the cpu must sit snug in the socket and need to not at all slide around in the socket.Thank youShannon

I didn't have any matters setting up or attaching components. I believe it has a great feature set for a single of the first MBs to help the LGA 1156 CPUs. I had to RMA my initially one. It was only recognizing half my RAM. I worked with EVGA to figure it out and was told to return the CPU initial given that the memory controller is integrated. That didn't function so I sent the MB back to them. I hope to get it back soon.

(slot is litereally correct next to edge of second GTX260 slot. Bought a evga 9800gt as a third card and could not get it to fit due to the approach they utilised to mount the heatsink)Annoying red led "E" symbol that pulses even when personal computer is off. also blue and yellow LEDs that don't turn off. Great Card for 2x SLI, Wonderful due to the fact they updated the bios so it no longer does a double startup cycle.
