Unlike the other reviewer I put this into a Dell Inspiron E1705 and it worked without having a hitch. Given that I'm running WinXP 32-bit it only shows as 3.25 GHz 鴺 Meg is in all probability shared with the video card) but the BIOS shows the full four GB. Definitely none.

Alienware m5550 upgrade from 2x1GB upto 2x2GB.. booted right up and saw the 4GB no difficulties. Windows recognized the upgrade and immediately put it to operate. none Due to a BIOS challenge the machine won't allocate the total 4GB.. known bug.. not a memory dilemma.

A slight increase in overall performance was noticed with the load time of programs and some of them appear to run smoother (hang up less). Kind of regret obtaining it trigger I didn't need the additional capacity and the performance increase was absolutely nothing spectacular. If you were low on memory, and the pc was lagging, then yes additional memory will "speed" up the laptop or computer; but technically it is just placing it back to usual. Take this for example, just before you had been in a position to run 5 programs before the computer system began to lag. With double the memory, it will enable 10 programs to run ahead of lagging. Upgraded the factory installed 2Gb on my laptop and replaced it with this 4Gb kit. It has worked flawlessly from the start out and tends to make Vista run significantly smoother. Has been running solid in my Toshiba Satellite laptop for almost 2 years with no any troubles. none Doubled my RAM from two to four GB, which with Vista preloaded on the laptop was a have to. It went from taking actually 5 - ten minutes to shut down to practically instant.

I bought this set for my Toshiba A105-S4014. I pulled out my two x 1gb of G.Ability RAM that was already in this pc and replaced it with the 4gb in the kit. It perform as expected, great! I also replaced my challenging drive Toshiba 120gb 5400rpm with a Seagate 320gb 7200rpm. With the new RAM and the new Challenging Drive I've already notice a massive overall performance increase. G.Skill makes excellent RAM. NONE I have G.Skill RAM in 8 computers, four Desktop and 4 Laptop. Guess I ought to KNOCK ON WOOD prior to saying this, but with G.Ability RAM I've in no way had a negative stick!

Never got it working. It never truly worked. It is NOT compatible with the Dell Inspiron 15xx-17xx series (mine was 1721) regardless of what the product compatibility checker on the NewEgg web site says. They can\'t deal with a CAS latency of four so you Must get the five. I would give this a better assessment and this possibly does not reflect the ram itself, but newegg desires to do a greater job in finding compatibilities and I feel that some of the other complications people here are experiencing can be solved by acquiring the greater CAS latency chips. Very good Price, came in a nice looking box (not plastic). Fit directly into my laptop. Was recognized instantly. Has lower CAS latency than factory RAM. none that I can feel of If you're obtaining this for 32 bit windows make confident you recognize 1 thing. Not all 4 GB will be utilized. My laptop only uses 3.25 GB on Vista Ultimate 32 bit. On the other hand, the lower CAS latency helped out very a bit.

Has lasted about 2 years with no issues. Was greatest value when I purchased this. None. Bought it the same time I bought my laptop, it was cheaper overall to go with 512 MB ram and purchase this than 4 GB with the new laptop. No issues with laptop or the RAM.
