Instant performance increase that I recognized from the 1st boot. Applications open much quicker! Really pleased. None thus far. Now I just need to figure out how to maintain my video card from making use of program memory if that's achievable.

I bought it from Newegg, whose customer service is second-to-none, and the RMA was pleasant, easy, and rapid. This memory really should work in my laptop (an HP TC4400), but does not perform. Some of the memory causes blue-screens and random faults in programs. Some appears to work but causes the Prime95 stress test to fail. This memory has been readily available for various years, it previously applied GSkill-labeled chips; now it uses Hynix.I bought this *exact* memory many years ago for this *exact* model laptop, and it works fine. I lately bought two much more laptops of the *exact* very same model (same subtype, similar CPU, same *everything*). So I ordered two sets of this memory to bring them up to 4GB - this new memory does not perform fine.Let's recap: I now have 3 TC4400 laptops, 1 set of F2-5300CL4D-4GBSQ I ordered numerous years ago, and two sets of F2-5300CL4D-4GBSQ that I just ordered. I then tested that the memory I ordered a number of years ago functions in all three laptops flawlessly. I then tested the new memory and discovered that it fails in all 3 laptops consistently. I tested each SO-DIMM independently. Each and every of the 4 SO-DIMMs make difficulties in all 3 laptops. 1 of the SO-DIMMs causes flagrant instability. The rest permit the program to limp along, but eventually cause program faults and blue screens. 1 of them appears to perform fairly properly, but the Prime95's tension test fails within a minute.I also just purchased a new F2-5300CL4S-1GBSA destined for a unique laptop, and it works just fine in these TC4400 laptops. This is pretty much rock-solid proof that these TC4400 laptops are capable of handling CL4 PC2 5300 memory, and for some reason the newer F2-5300CL4D-4GBSQ memory is substandard compared to what it employed to be. I'm aiming this comment at GSKill customer service that chided a recent customer that "this memory doesn't perform in all laptops - try the CL5". GSkill: This memory is not up to spec. These laptops give no way to tune the memory or timings - this isn't an overclocking or hacking concern. Manufacturer Response:.Dear ConsumerWe are sorry to hear you are having such concerns. We are not asking you to overclock or adjust timings in a pre-built laptop that has a locked BIOS, we are asking you to use a CL5 rated memory which has unique SPD timings that could work greater for some laptops. If you think your laptop can support CL4, please really feel no cost to send them in for RMA and try new kits. We will also look into this issue to see if there is a challenge with the newest batch. For all further concerns or troubles, please really feel free of charge to get in touch with us directly. They didn't catch fire... I would get BSDO (Blue Screen of Death) and system would reboot. * Works perfectly in my 2007 MacBook Pro 17".* High speed and low latency.* Advertised timings in SPD (no manual tweaking needed).* Inexpensive. None. I extremely advise a 64-bit OS with this much RAM. I'm dual-booting Mac OS X 10.5.8 and Windows XP x64 Edition, and each of these can use the whole 4GB.

Works without having concern. No cons. Purchased it to replace 2 gig of ram. It did that and much more. No noticable speed enhance. But I bought it for the size/price, didn't expect any massive speed change. I mean it's not exactly a solid state drive.

As expected the improvement in the CAS wasn't noticeable, but having twice the ram ƒ upgraded to 4 gigs) undoubtedly is when you want it. none Most of the time everything worked excellent on my MBP. Troubles arose when I necessary to edit a 30MB+ file with inkscape. Then the paging would slow my pc to a crawl. With four gigs, it is just as snappy as a 30KB file.

its got the faster timings than the super low-cost DDR2667, but its nonetheless fairly low-cost. ive got it installed in a dell XPS1530 with windows vista 32-bit. windows recognizes that ive got 4 gig, but because it is a 32-bit OS, only around 3.5GB of that is acccessible. doesnt concern me cause its nonetheless more, but dont think that this will use all 4GB on a 32 bit OS. none runs fine, memory swap was a cinch, and the laptop recognized it correct away. the 1st boot up was a tad slow, which worried me, but it should just be trigger of the fresh ram, has to burn it in or something.

BIOS recognized the RAM module and it worked under windows Vista 32-bit. Of course you don't get all 4GB with a 32-bit OS but I get something like 3.5 GB. Previously, Vista and the all the junk running were taking up 66% of the memory and now its only 33%. Now I can run apps. None Had to take the keyboard off to access the DIMM A slot on the laptop. It's superior notion to download the service manual before installing on your laptop. Now I will get an additional set for my son's machine.

I applied these modules in my HP tablet PC. These are considerably less expensive however significantly quicker than HP's memory or Kingston's. none. You really should be cautious buying memory upgrade for laptops. There are tons and tons of memory modules out there but smaller differences in specs may possibly make them unusable for your distinct laptop. Read the OEM specs cautiously and understand every component of specs before going for potentially more affordable and faster non-OEM modules. If you know what you're performing, you'll be surprised how much much better you can do to save dollars and get faster modules.

Good price for this type of latency. Superb Newegg service. Employing it to max out the memory in an ACER Aspire 3050 laptop. None. I am using Vista 32-bit, which I realize can only use up to 3.5GB, but Windows (looking at Task Manager) only sees 2.5GB (before allocating 250MB to video). This is after freeing about 500MB up utilizing msconfig/Boot/Advanced and un-checking Maximum Memory (I was not allowed to improve the number). Any ideas out there?
