Operating memtest stable at 1100Mhz 5-five-five-15 1.9v with all sub-timings as low as feasible. Havent gotten around to OCing, but wont be able to much anyway with my AMD method. Best 4gb set of DDR2 for the money. Ordered 9ǘ, arrived 9ቪ. Heatspreaders are so tall, I had to raise the fan on my core make contact with freezer about an inch and a half to fit more than these. On a board that has more space in between the CPU and ram slots this wouldnt be an issue. Dont want to give a lower egg score from the slow shipping, cause its not the rams fault. Operating an X2 550BE unlocked and OCed to 207x18 on a Gigabyte 790X-UD4P.Check out clubnboc for my OCing log.

Great voltages for the speed at 1.8 to 1.9. The latencies are also wonderful compared to the OCZs. I had to overclock my CPU to two.93 to get these to specs but it could be just me. I guess you could do it yet another way to get these to specs. Technique has turn into more stable. I manually set the latencies and had it set to LINKED at 1375 with a Q9550. 1- Nice heat sinks. Did not post at 1100, tried voltage, manual set, raising fsb, and even a hail mary, nada!. It acually crash a bois on 1 of my machines. I am shocked at G.Skill, normally the have good memory in both ddr2 or ddr3, not this one. Really, Quite, fussy memory. G.Skill, please demot the memory engineer of these sticks, Quickly!!!! Truly stable at 1100Mhz on only 1.87v - Incredible!!! I thought I had maxed out my CPU OC, but I assume there is far more area, I was just getting held back by my old RAM. I also have 4x1GB of Critical Ballistix PC2-8500 that I have RMA'd twice now as it just stops working (no OC, no overvolts). To their credit, the RMA course of action is flawless. Price - I paid twice the typical price tag of 4GB of PC2-8500 RAM from other manufacturers/brands at the time of my purchase. That mentioned... ..who cares about the price when you have sunk so much into the rest of your build and other RAM is so unstable?

A excellent option for DDR2 upgrade, or for a new develop. The EPP (that's what tells the mainboard how it desires to be set up, so you don't have to do any figuring) set it up at 800MHz with five-five-5-15 52tRFC @ 1.8V. Piece of cake! That's a 333 bus speed 񡾵 Front Side Bus), giving a fiveɊ FSB to DRAM ratio 鶍).My 24ǝ O.C. is a 440 bus speed 񢅠 FSB) with a 7.5 multiplier 񢝤MHz core speed), giving a 3Ɉ ratio 鷸). I got that just by changing the DRAM frequency in BIOS to 1173 and raising the DRAM volts to the maximum-specified-preserve-your-warranty 1.9V.Honestly, I expected it to fail the O.C., particularly when I ran it at 100% for 12 hours straight on a video rendering...not a niggle, blip, or snivel on the nibble nuts. Fairly impressive when you look at the Northbridge is only at 1.26V. Cons??Isn't that a felonious individual? Due to the fact it certain isn't relevant here. The mods at the G.skill forum are beneficial if you want them. But it took them a week to approve my registration so that I can post a question. Which did not impact me considering that I planned ahead and asked questions prior to I bought.Or you could try to decipher G.Skill's 12 digit telephone number on the package (꭮-two-2766-7889) ???

Operating 4GB at 1111 MHz, five-5-5-15, 1.88v, tRC᠈Obtaining around 4800 MB/s according to Memtest86+ None two passes on Memtest86+ with no errors (took Ӯ hours)I can't wait 12 hours!Mobo is GA-EX38-DS4. At initially the BIOS automatically set memory to 1066, but also automatically boosted the voltage to two.1v (apparently to compensate for the greater speed). I guess the BIOS is programmed to overvolt at that speed, but this is low-voltage high-speed ram. Had to set SPD manually to get to 1111 MHz and bring the voltage down to 1.88v. Should have been 1.8v according to my settings so it looks like my MOBO reads high or supplies a bit high with respect to the memory voltage. Anyway, I also changed usual timing variables to 5-five-five-15 manually. Wish I knew how to set all the other ram variables my BIOS has:Rank Write to READ DelayWrite to Precharge DelayRefresh to ACT DelayRead to Precharge DelayStatic tRead WorthStatic tRead Phase AdjustCommand Rate (CMD)All those are set to <AUTO>

for the dollars, you cant beat it! heat sink it tall so it can cause issues with your cpu heat sink if its over sized. my mobo is rated for ddr-800 but i dropped these in and right now i have DDR-832 "BUT" my timings are 4-4-4-12 which i guess is an equivalent to about DDR-1080 at CL5

people that say this memory wont run at 1100 mhz are nuts, and dont know what there carrying out. I had no challenge obtaining it to run and rated speed, the challenge is it wont run more than 1150mhz, quite little overclock space, in that point im unhappy, will be searching for a greater overclocking 4gb memory kit. incredibly poor overclocking

1100 spd, 5 timings, fantastic heat spreader, high efficiency memory, looks cool. Runs stable at 1100 mhz. DDR3 performance on a DDR2 platform. Gonna buy a lot more! Could not get to run stably at 1172 mhz even with 2.1V I could not get it to overclock quite high, so instead I lowered the timings to 4-four-four-ten and I am overclocking it at 904 mhz. This helped me get a very stable OC for my AMD 965 and it makes the ram incredibly rapidly. The performance for the CPU is just a little lower with the 900 vs the 1172, but the efficiency for the ram is equal and truly stable. Now that I am operating it stable I want to obtain one more set to run 8GB.

The fact that they're finally producing high efficiency RAM that doesn't need additional than 2.0v to run is an obvious plus. I'm operating this RAM slightly overclocked and at 1.9v.Acquiring 2 sticks of RAM that equals four gigs is often better than buying 4 sticks of RAM that equals four gigs because overclocking one set of DIMMS is significantly less difficult than attempting to overclock two a lot more more sets of DIMMS. This is why all you guys who have four, 1 gig sticks will never ever, ever reach the overclock speeds of those of us who have 2, 2 gigs sticks. Just for entertaining I tried running the RAM with tighter timings and DDR2 800 speeds just to see what I could get out of this RAM. On the other hand, I couldn't get this RAM to post even at 4-four-4-12 timings even though operating at DDR2 800 speeds (C1 errors). Strange I thought, but I assume that says additional about my distinct motherboard than anything. Ever due to the fact my last Gskill DIMMS went poor I've not been in a position to overclock RAM on my mobo like I utilised to. Still not completely understanding why that is. Not that it matters, since it works fine running at 5-five-five-15 with my multiplier decreased and my FSB notched up fairly a bit. Had to drop the multiplier to on my E6850 to 6 and then ratcheted up the FSB to get this RAM to post at rated speeds with my Abit IP35 Pro board, but soon after that points had been fine. If you've got an older P35 motherboard you're in all probability going to have to do the exact same thing since it won't run at advertised speeds otherwise. It will default to DDR2 800. Most P35 boards support DDR2 800-1066 speeds officially, so anything far more needs your to overclock the cpu in order to get to the rated speed. Fine by me due to the fact I purchased it to overclock anyway.I hope this RAM lasts longer than my last 2 sets of Gskill DDR2 800 RAM did, but only time will tell. The last two sets lasted about 6-8 months every. If you don't have a 64 bit operating technique this (and any other four gig set) will only each and every display as 3.25gigs! Tired of folks showing up in several reviews and complaining about it, so I'm telling you what you should currently know just before you ever purchase it.

None, it doesn't work.Even the modules that "work" don't function over the full voltage range. 50% failure rate t 1.8 to 1.9 V 100% failure rate at 1.8 VNot a Single module passes memtest86 at 1.8V. The Memory is specified to function among 1.8-1.9 V. I have now tested 8 or ten modules of memory, (so a lot of I've lost track). 1 module in every pack of two was defective, I have to return these modules at my expense twice, and now face a third return.Initially I bought two packs of 2 modules, 4 total, I got two passers of the bunch.I returned a pack, and got a pack back, with 1 bad module. I returned the return, and got yet another pack, with a different bad module, and once again have returned and received garbage.I'm disgusted. I've been undertaking this for over a month. Manufacturer Response:.Dear CustomerThe memory package you bought will need an actual voltage of 1.9V in order to operate DDR2-1100. Although your BIOS might be set to 1.90V, it may possibly only be supplying 1.88V. It it imperative to be able to provide the full voltage, as a result we suggest setting the memory voltage in BIOS to two.0V or slightly above 1.9V depending on your motherboard. As soon as that is complete, eveverything ought to be running smoothly. You can check your actual DRAM Voltage in Pc Well being Status so you get a a lot more accurate reading.Thank youGSKILL SUPPORTTop quality and consumer service are our top priorities.Tech Support Email: ustech@gskill.comRMA Dept E-mail: rma@gskill.comG.SKILL Forum: http://www.gskill.com

Installed both sticks on ASUS P5Q-E and it posted up with no issue. Clipped right into RAM slots quite easily. Allowed me to O.C. Intel Q9550 to 4.0Ghz with a lot of room left. Will test much more as time permits. Heatsinks have nice design which look and stay cool. Wish it had Free of charge Shipping. Sales Tax in CA went up too. No Cons on actual Ram. If there's a particular, like totally free shipping or discount, I'll surely order a different kit for 8GB total ;-)

* Overclocks to 1200Mhz incredibly quickly, can probably go even higher* Doesn't need to have significantly voltage to hit high speeds* Comes with some super cool searching heatspreaders * Pricey for DDR2, but you undoubtedly get what you pay for* Big sinks may possibly get in the way of some CPU coolers, not a problem for me, but just a warning to those with cramped ram slots. This is replacing my old OCZ stuff that wouldn't clock past 960 even with two.16V+. G.Skill is my new favorite memory brand.

Pro ş: 2x2GB kit booted right up at 1066 as soon as i set mb speed correctly. Properly, one module did anyway. I'll report back as soon as i begin tweaking. ProŠ: Price. Pro š: Newegg (see cons). 1 module DOA and necessary RMA. Mainly because of this i couldn't give five eggs, 'specially simply because i see it's not an isolated incident. Though it didn't have an effect on me, be warned this memory is TALL (about twice the height of "normal" memory). It also could block outflow from the "required" 9950 heatsink. I put a little memory cooling fan thingie (Super Talent CA-MMC-B) with the fans reversed to blow air up, just in case. 9950 BLACK, Gigabyte GA-MA790GP-DS4H, Ballistix 4 x 1GB, Corsair CMPSU-1000HX 1000W, BFG Tech GTX 280, VelociRaptor 150GB, Caviar Black 1TB :)
