Very good RAM for the price tag. Would suggest. not 1600 I purchased two sticks of this in 2009, function flawlessly, Newegg had a sale on RAM, these sticks showed up in the list, so decided to upgrade my rig to 4gb. Installed, and started finding BSODs. After operating a few RAM tests, looks like one particular of the new sticks i purchased is poor. I will commence pulling 1 stick at a time to locate the culprit, and get in touch with GSkill for hopefully a replacement. General of the 4 sticks I bought 1 was negative. For the cost for what you get I would advocate this RAM Manufacturer Response:.Dear ConsumerThank you for your G.Ability acquire and evaluation. Worked great the initially time and my ASUS board had no issue with it. Runs effectively in dual channel and got a 7.1 rating in Windows 7 with a Regor 265 AM3 socket dual core processor. Also, genuinely shiny and vivid red. Completely fashionable for windowed situation builds! none Not genuinely great for most price range AMD AM3 builds due to the fact the PC3-8500 I attempted in it also got a 7.1 rating lol. I don't know what the heck 4000 MT/S signifies other than it's a theoretical, mainly made up speed rating in location of the front side bus speed rating on AMD processors but apparently the FSB on the 3.3GHz Regor X2 isn't high enough to merit working with 1333 MHz ram. My board supports it natively without classifying it at "overclocked" but some AM3 boards do have to overclock to get to 1333 so for price range builds, don't obtain this ram. PC3-8500 is identical.

AttractivePrice is fantasticPerforms as advertisedSerial Presence Detect allowed my board to auto appropriate settings.Wide wide variety of boards work well with G.Ability Began acquiring errors @ ten FSB overclock, at least at the stock voltage, on a Gigabyte gma-udh2 uATX board. Haven't tried upping it, even though. You can do a lot worse than some resonably priced G.Ability. After hunting at the QVLs for quite a few uATX boards, I decided to go with G.Skill after OCZ and GEIL DDR3 sets in the final couple of builds. G.Ability seemed like the 1 brand I could get that would virtually be assured to perform with picky boards. Did I mention the heat spreaders are desirable?

Good heat sink, excellent cost Bought as a pair, one particular was DOA. -1 Egg considering that I have to return each, leaving my technique out of commission. Because it's 1 item with two sticks of ram, I now have to send back both even though only one was negative. I just ordered a second 4GB pack ƒx2GB) so I can nonetheless use my system whilst I'm waiting for the RMA. I wasn't organizing on shopping for 8GB of RAM, but it's a greater solution than going two+ weeks with out using my new pc.This one particular stick of ram was the only component which arrived DOA. It's not unheard of, it's not uncommon. General, good quality ram and a fantastic price. I will still advocate. On the other hand, in the future I'll purchase individual sticks of ram. Manufacturer Response:.Dear BuyerWe are sorry to hear you received a bad module. Please send it in for RMA and the replacement kit need to operate significantly superior. It is best to send the entire kit mainly because dual channel motherboards can be selective with memory in that they must be perfectly matching. For this purpose, it is also not a great thought to obtain person modules as they may not perfectly sync effectively with each and every other. Installed four x 2GB sticks quickly on a Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3 mb. Booted up fine the first time and so far so great. OC'ed i3 530 processor to three.3Ghz so far with a 150 Mhz bus. Memory is stable and rapid. None that I can believe of. Not thinking my mb can handle a total of 16gb, I really should have bought the 2 x 4gb as an alternative leaving the other banks for future expansion. Oh nicely, guess I'll face that dilema when it arrives.

Cool heat spreader. Hasn't failed. Works with ASRock M3A770DE and Phenom II 555. Comes with good sticker. Not as low cost as DDR2 =( Havn't tried to overclock with it. 1.5v isn't an selection for my mobo; I get 1.48 and 1.53, so 1.53 it was. Bought as a 4GB pack, split it with my brother so we every have a 2GB stick. Pretty fast even devoid of dual channel; five.5 in Win Overall performance I think.
