The speed is amazing. I run the the test and scores is essentially very same as described. The high-quality of this SDD is genuinely questionable. I mean I brought this SDD as an secondary HDD to boot the technique. Almost everything functions well till about 2 month later(now). It just cease working. I my laptop relatively very carefully, no more than-clocking or something alter the hardware working environment. It just stopworking... I'm certainly doubting the high-quality of SDD from G.Ability proper now. Even it's economical, a SDD really should surely put top quality as the very first spot. considering about refund or replacement. Manufacturer Response:.Dear BuyerWe are sorry to hear your SSD is defective. This must not take place, but rare cases do come about so hopefully this will not happen again. Insanely rapid. I have an ASUS P6X58D with all the bells and whistles like SATAIII and USB3., but I went with the SSD SATAII simply because they are lastly reasonable priced. I bought two and set them up in RAID . I benchmarked with Sandra and got a drive index of 495MB/s. OCZ Vertex 120GB has a drive index of 205MB/s. Great efficiency for 300 bucks. Windows gave the G.Ability SSD RAID an Encounter Index of 7.9. None so far These come with adapters. I employed a Dremel tool to cut the prime half off of each adapter and was capable to location each SSD's stacked in a single three.5" bay.

Came with three.5 inch mounting bracked, not that I utilized it. Costly GB/$$, but everyone knows that. You gotta pay if you wanna play. I installed this in my Dell Latitude e6410 laptop. It had a WD Black 7200rpm drive in it, and with this installed, it cut ten seconds off of the boot time. It went from 34 seconds from power up to ctrl+alt+delete screen to 24. One particular you get into Windows, every thing appears instant. I wish I had bought a bit bigger of a single, but I just wanted to try out the technologies. My laptop also seems to be cooler, which is wonderful.

Saving precious time. As an alternative of waiting forever for points to load and files to transfer, almost everything's fundamentally instant. I have one particular of the older generation SSDs, and my have they evolved. Probably going to buy the 120GB version for my laptop. Lovin' it. None Hopefully when pricing comes down even a lot more, I can run a couple RAID setups. That would be super quick for a fairly cost. Most likely max WEI also.

Soon after over 2 months drive still ATTO specs at 95-98% of rated speeds below Win 7 64-bit. SSDLife reports 85% life expectancy on the drive, or, at present rate of use it will fail around 2020. I'm assuming the initial hit to life expectancy came during installs and substantial-file create tests. SSDLife is an estimator; you can take it for whatever you consider it's worth. It's not a con, but SandForce controllers can't sustain writes of compressed files, such as DV, beyond about 135-150MB/sec. That's nevertheless fairly rapid. My drive will nevertheless sustain those rates. If I had it to do more than, I'd more than-provision the drive a tiny additional, say, 10% or 5GB additional. Needless to say, I do all the recommended factors such as having a pagefile on yet another drive, indexing off, timestamping off, and so forth. I have not moved .temp and .tmp files to a mechanical drive; I likely ought to.

Great speeds advertised. Right after the initially reboot it, along with several others experiences right here, it failed to be recognized by the BIOS. I got it to show up One time, nonetheless plugging it into a USB external enclosure worked just about every time. Waiting on my replacement from newegg now. However they wouldn't let me just get a refund or exchange so I could just get a diverse brand and model. I've usually been pleased with G.Ability's RAM, too undesirable their SSD's are plagued with issues. I would remain away from their SSD's until they can iron out their issues. For the record this was installed onto a Win7 box, msi p45 platinum board, with a q6600 stock speeds, and 8gb of G.Skill 800mhz ddr2 ram. Prices finally came down. I am so grateful. As an alternative of employing my 8GB USB drive to shop, I have a 60GB USB drive now! Employing it as a hot swap for now to move files from household to function. Really small, light, and transportable, so crazy how this wallet sized issue can carry 60GB of files. Wish it had a USB connection that I could just use as a USB drive. Not genuinely a con, just wishful considering. I appreciate this drive. Really rapid. Gave me a 7.2 in Windows practical experience. I use it for a boot drive in my Antec Sonata Elite with a WD 640 as my information drive. Windows 7loads really quick and apps scream. Besides capacity none so far. Had to place SATA cable in at a small bit of an odd angle, but this was due to the Antec case not having very enough space to put cable in at an angle that I would be genuinely content with. So far no difficulties I purchased it on sale so I may possibly wait to see it drop below 139 once again, but other wise this is the ideal point you can do to speed up system, even additional than a high finish processor, or additional ram.

Incredibly quick - from the time the 1st windows screen shows up soon after the bios clears, it takes win7 about ten seconds to load to a usable state. Scores a 7.7 on the windows encounter index. All my apps open super swift. None. 60 GB is enough to run windows and all your basic apps off of to drastically raise system efficiency vs a HDD. Boot times are a lot quicker, about ten sec to get to log on screen. Installed windows 7 in about 15 mins. 7.6 on the windows encounter index, was only five.9 from ahead of with a wd 500gb drive. Quite rapidly, load instances now non existant. Opens window immediately after window with no delay. You push the button, it's on the screen. Dragons Age Origins loads saved files in 1 second. Awsome! Small Drive. I know dumb point to say I knew how large it was when I ordered it, but I wish I had spent a handful of dollars additional and picked up an 80 or 120 gig drive. Not really a con more a warning for others. Windows 7 eats half of the 55 usable gbs. A few programs and two games and its at capacity. Like I mentioned not genuinely a con but some thing to be aware of. Can't say how good it is, I'm going to choose up a 120gig version subsequent month, and put this 60 in my wifes laptop.

Phenomenal performance. Win 7 WEI disk score of 7.7 vs. 6.8 from the OCZ Vertex I replaced it with. Includes a one-piece mounting bracket, which is a good touch. Apparently, G.Skill makes use of SI measurements, so you end up with about 56 GB formatted capacity. With OCZ (my only other SSD experience) you get the full listed capacity. A minor annoyance with a smaller capacity drive, definitely not sufficient to knock an egg off.
