You need to open the DVD files and find it. I don't know why they couldn't just have it on the set up menu but it's there. Don't obtain this and put anything significantly less than an x4 in it. It just wouldn't make sense

All headers, RAM slots and most importantly PCie slots located in a logical and useful spot on the board. The only exception to this would be the audio header which is positioned amongst the CPU and the reaer connectors? I particularly purches thboard to replace an ASUS crosshair IV, which I absolutly loved. It had difficulties with rebooting when USD devices had been plugged in the front panel on three diverse situations. It's replacement by way of warranty did the very same, albiet not as frequently. I also require a slot obtainable for sound card (PCIe x1) right after installing two XFX 5870's in Crossfire configuration and this Gigabyte board had all that. I pulled the ASUS out, slapped the Gigabyte in and BAM, right into Windows 7. It didn't even force me into the BIOS settings for time and date. I installed the drivers, updated the BIOS to F6 and am typing on it now. I will update once I have a couple of weeks under my belt. One particular challenge is that as opposed to the ASUS Turbo EVO system, the Gigabyte Simple Tune is not so intuitive. It also fails to run below WIn 7 64-bit, but then I tried it prior to updating BIOS, so will attempt again later. some good attributes - boot from flash drive or usb Dvd Very first board toasted all my usb drives and two sata internal hds. Configuring plain old vanilla sata drives a challenge. challenges recognizing SSD drives. Manual has lots on Raid but absolutely nothing on config of above drives - most SSD call for ACHI not IDE emulation Their rebate plan is practically fraudulent. It has been 3 months given that the rebate was approved and it nevertheless has not been sent out - even right after contacting Gigabyte and threatening to contact BBB and Attorney General's office. I have read in the reviews that others are getting the similar issue and NewEgg does not appear to care.

Wonderful board with several selections. Able to run ESXi on the other hand custom oem.tgz require for NIC or Intel NIC required. Only two SATA cable come with the board. Come on Gigbyte, there are 8 SATA ports on this board. I necessary to setup an ESXi server for lab use. This board worked great for installing ESXi four. soon after working with a custom oem.tgz for the set up to function. 2nd selection would merely to use a Intel NIC. Usb 3., Sata six.0Gb, also usb/esata combo connectors. This boards has excellent cooling and a lot of extras. Great for single video card installations. Very poor layout. The PCIEx16 ports are too close. If you use dual slot video cards you can't use additional then 1 in x16 mode due to size limitations. The second x16 slot is so close your video cards lay against each other flush. You ought to use the 3rd x8 port which brings down the speed of both cards Nice motherboard, but not for a large gaming rig. The inablity to use the crossfire this board proports you must install in a way that will overheat your leading vid card. Sad mainly because I truly liked this board otherwise.

Build excellent is great, no difficulties with overall performance, and it has the most awsome bios. It allows total control of each feature offered to fine tune and control your program for the most performance you can squeeze out of your program. A excellent overclockers mobo. Now the negative..... The layout and spacing of the PCIe slots is terrible. I run a crossfire rig with 2 Radeon 4870's. These are the ones with dual 80mm fans on every single card. As is most newer video cards they are all double wide cards and thus when you install them into the PCIe-1 & two slots as stated (whic are the lanes running at full 16x) the secong card is so close that it absolutely covers up the air intakes on the initial card in slot 1. So close that when running the fans on card 1 are producing noise by grinding away at the ciruit pins on the back of card two, in slot 2. Needless to say that card 1 with fans running at 100% at idle the temps had been running at 74-76c. So I had to move the secong card to slot 8 which runs at 8x as an alternative of 16x. This is a terrible style flaw in IMO. As such I have to either spend a lot more cash to purchase new video cards, run them at 8x, or RMA the mobo and go back to a MSIGD70 type. I just upgarded from a MSI K9A2 Plat. which has had Sata two difficulties from day 1. So if your running Crossfire rig with double wide cards then this board is NOT!!! for you. I hate to go back to MSI because I think the good quality and versatility in MSI is far much less than what Gigabyte gives. But a lot more than likely I will have to RMA and replace this 1 out. I subtracted two stars because NewEgg nor Gigabyte states this anyplace. And I subtracted 1 star for terrible shipping service. It took it five days from ordering with RUSH service and three day shipping to go 300 miles. It sat in a holding pen most of the time because of UPS's pathetic shipping terms. They will NOT ever get you your package earlier, even if it is next door.

A lot of space for expansion and incorporates some incredibly nice capabilities that take benefit of today's technology. The sata ports can be a tiny complicated to get to when your video card is installed, but that's just a minor inconvenience. Appears like a excellent solid board so far. Every thing I had to mount to it went in pretty quickly.

Anything about this motherboard is fantastic. It has two separate SATA controllers (which indicates extra bandwidth employing numerous tough drives), the onboard network and audio is unusually fantastic, and it's just got a complete lot of little capabilities that you don't generally get. Not a single one particular...other than the poor PCI-E layout if you're working with many GPUs, which I'm not I typically go for the mid-range motherboards and this is the 1st "top of the line" one I've gone with...you don't know what you're missing till you get this motherboard. I wish I could be a lot more precise but it's just all sorts of small factors. For example if you will need to clear your BIOS, there's an actual button you simply push on the motherboard (no a lot more do you have to move the difficult-to-grasp jumpers!). A different example is the built-in recovery software to re-image your difficult drive...straight from the BIOS! It's also got two network ports that can be merged into 1 so you have double the bandwidth from your computer system to the router (only if your router supports it even though). Just tiny issues that make life a little easier or are just enjoyable to mess with. Very best motherboard I've ever purchased...period!

I purchased this board as a recommendation from a friend and could not be more content with it. The potential it has for expansion and utilization of up to date technology is a very rewarding investment. Buy it! :) Initially had a couple of glitches with audio randomly going out. This was all fixed when gigabyte released new drivers. So verify for updates :) I have read alot of the critiques on this product, I specifically like to read the unfavorable evaluations first. Following acquiring scrolled by means of a handful of i realized that some of these folks getting issues are making fundamental errors. If you are such a good pc individual to place collectively a computer by yourself, you must know that there is always some thing new to learn in this sector. No a single can know it all. Very best of luck, this board is an remarkable obtain!

USB 3., lots of USB, SATA connectivity. Loads of tweaks, alternatives. Lots of expandability. Initial board was a dud. The current a single seems to be operating fine. Don't like the color, but oh well, nothings' ideal. I waited to do a assessment due to the fact my first board died right after 3 hrs. of use. Had to RMA back and wait an additional week. Newegg was genuinely responsive and even shipped it back two day air following I told them it took more than a week to return. All in all, I would acquire it once more but Gigabyte demands to work on their high quality handle imho.

strictly speaking about the mobo, so far it operates good. no difficulties there. Im not actual techy so im not confident what else to say right here. its awesome. This was my 1st laptop or computer construct, and it was a hassle. The first mobo i ordered came to me defective, ok not newegg's fault it takes place i guess. So I RMA'd it back, and one more one particular was sent to me rapidly. Only factor was that newegg sent me a Used one particular! ya thats proper. I was livid! they stated oh so sorry we should have gotten mixed up, which to me is bull. the box had clearly been opened and whoever returned it taped their RMA type proper to the front of the box! The mobo was thrown in the box with no protective plastic, the manual was missing and a SATA cable was missing also! Anyway, i was so anxious to get my puter running i just hooked it up anyway and it performs fine. Newegg mentioned they would send me a new one particular, but also stated my warranty on this 1 is just as good. i decided to preserve it. but nonetheless really feel betrayed. its the principle of the complete issue. you pay for new, you ought to get new! I hope newegg doesn't allow this to come about incredibly frequently or do it purposely attempting to get applied merchandise off of their shelves. this was the 1st time i ever applied newegg as well and it kind of put a negative taste in my mouth :(

One particular sweet board! From day one i was enjoying the functions this board has. Created my construct in 2002 appear like a laptop or computer from about the windows 95 location and my final create seem like a personal computer from windows 98 location and it was only two years old. I overclock each program I've owned haven't touched this one yet does nicely on its personal inside bios. None at all so far If your a G.skill fan or lost on memory go with the G.ability flare for this board i began with a lower set which only disappointed.

Attributes and lots of themStability, even though it lastedSeemed to take care of the 1090T with no difficulties, unlike an additional board maker that has issues with boards that catch fire. ten days outside of the Newegg warranty the board completely dies, refuses to accept any signal from the energy/reset buttons on each the case AND the bench buttons on the board itself.Contacted newegg hoping they would be willing to swap it out getting only 10 days outdoors of their warranty, nope, they generally told me to go away, even with the thousands I've purchased from them in the past two years.Contacted Gigabyte and filed for an RMA, still waiting on that stupid #, in the meantime, I have no laptop or computer and no clue if the motherboard took my other components down with it. Gigabyte will enable advance replacement on a PROVISIONAL basis. But, to be honest, it appears like it is still also slow.2 days (I am on day two now, nonetheless waiting) JUST to get the RMA #two days for them to CHARGE your card for the MSRP of the boardProcessing time to get the board mailed (whatever that implies)Shipping time (AND THEY WONT LET YOU Pay FOR OVERNIGHT RETURN SHIPPING, ON YOUR Own DIME!)Seriously, I required this workstation (and it is a workstation) back up ASAP. Newegg let me down, Gigabyte let me down. All future purchases will more than most likely go somewhere else and to a unique manufacturer. Realize if you want to run a small business off of Newegg and Gigabyte, you greater make sure the item dies precisely within 30 days for newegg and you have all the time in the globe to RMA to Gigabyte if it doesn't.

The board has many possibilities accessible to tweakers and it is clearly of incredibly very good excellent construction. So far, quite fantastic in that place.I am especially impressed with the audio solution. Built-in support for Dolby Digital Reside five.1 surround is amazing. Beneath no circumstances need to you get this board for your gaming rig.I foolishly jumped on this board for my Crossfire config, operating two 6970 cards, due to the fact it's one particular of the handful of USB three. boards with a good set of selections. Do no repeat my mistake.I am now running one particular of my two video cards in the PCI-E x4 slot. NOT content, but.....With both cards plugged into the PCI-E x16 slots they were physically touching, pressed against each and every other. The cards idled - IDLED, not load - idled at 80 degrees C. The heat on these cards very swiftly soared to ꡜ C below load, and this is in an NZXT Phantom situation with superb air cooling. This set up is what I'm stuck with until I can get a CrossFire bridge that's lengthy sufficient to span the gap amongst the x16 and x8 slots. For every little thing other than gaming - or for single card set ups - this board could be very recommended (though at this cost range you're most likely much better searching at other boards for a gaming box). The possibilities and the very impressive Dolby Digital surround sound would make this a wonderful board had been it not knee capped by the placement of the PCI-E slots. It's like painting the Mona Lisa and then poking a finger by means of 1 of her eyes; the thoughts boggles. It just doesn't make sense.
