I purchased this board, 16 GB ram, Plextor 128 GB SSD, MSI Frozer video card, and an AMD 1100 combo from NewEgg as an update for my private use. Regrettably, this M/B recognizes anything but a sata difficult drive. Cannot get this board to see a tough drive, SSD or otherwise. Not even a drive formatted in yet another Win7 Pc. Went into the BIOS and set every little thing I could come across to something but IDE. Could not get any combination of settings to work for either the Plextor SSD or an older Seagate drive. Will try to RMA with NewEgg. The cost of this M/B ought to not have embedded software program for ten-15 year old peripherrals, imho. I could not believe the BIOS on this board was looking for Master/Slave IDE drives!!! The last time I saw a difficult drive or other component with an M/S switch was ten or 15 years ago. Does any person even make, let alone sell something like that currently?? And this is a new, and costly, board. Why does it have a BIOS seeking for Win95 hardware? Very good board and layout I enjoy the appear of it.Plenty of pci express slots which is usually nice.Very good layoutdetected all 8gb's of memorydetected the amd x6 1090T with no problemsruns 3 9500 gt video cards with no issues and a lot of space.Good sound card. It wouldn't let me see the fan speeds on my video cards on evga precision in contrast to other boards.Maybe it's that evga precision didn't like the motherboard or the motherboard didn't support the fan speed controller but other boards let me use evga precision with no problem and this 1 only gave me clock speeds. No issues in addition to that. I was scared to jump on the gigabyte train following a couple of negative gigabyte boards but this a single worked great and I'm beginning to gain trust in gigabyte yet again.

Price tag. Specs. Delivery Time. Can't say much else at the moment cuz mine is bent and is going back. Hope to give a far better critique if I ever get a usable board. I guess I could have just not employed the I/O plate but I want a product thats 100%. Thats what I paid for. Instruction manuals are vague and the images are hard to make out, not that I really required them.Had the factor mounted in my situation. I was about to secure my processor cooling unit down on the processor but noticed the I/O shield wasn't lining up appropriately with the rear ports. Re-adjusted a couple of occasions but no luck. Removed and looked at the board from the side and saw that it was bent. The issue that truly bothers me was that I wasted the thermal materal that came on the processor cooling unit. I should have paid additional attention rather of rushing, so thats my fault. Also, UPS has a actual bad tendency to leave packages containing 񘊃 worth of computer system parts at my back door when no one's residence. This is my initial construct. Most of the time I just tore apart old computers or fixed mine and other peoples machines. This is a poor start to my first build. I don't have a test bench so I have to wait for a replacement from newegg and hope all the other components function correctly.

I have this MB for about 8 months now and it appears to be doing fairly effectively. I got this board thinking it should effortlessly unlock the other two cores on my Phenom II X2 555 Black edition. Wrong! Not positive if I got a CPU from a later batch in which AMD finally got wise and eliminated any possibility of unlocking the other two cores or if it's Gigabyte's inability in the BIOS. In any case, attempting to unlock the cores via the BIOS will lock up the program and you'll have to reset the CMOS to get it working once again. Also, this MB seems a bit quirky. One day I got no video or POST whatsoever, despite the fact that the fans on the MB had been running and seemingly almost everything else. First thoughts right here may well be video card issues or possibly the motherboard. Wrong once again! Soon after trial and error, it was the challenging drive. Never had a motherboard that wouldn't POST and with no video signal due to a negative tricky drive.Really unusual. I have the distinct impression that an enhanced BIOS may well resolve the above cons. Curious what other customers of this board have skilled.

Solidly built, easy connections, LOTS of SATA ports and clearly labeled connectors. Fired up with out a hitch with a 3.2GHz AMD Phenom X6 and 16GB of Corsair CMX8GX3M2A1333C. Also supports all the most current-and-greatest BIOS selections for AMD (I actually had to turn off a handful of of these to run VMWare's ESXi). Makes use of the Realtek 8111񴯘 chipset for the dual GB Ethernet ports. Not a dilemma if you're running windows or most variants of linux, but VMWare nevertheless doesn't assistance these "out of the box" with their ESXi/ESX merchandise. I purchased this board/processor combo to run a low price, kick-tail virtualization platform on VMWare's ESXi. With a tiny web investigation and some patience, the drivers for every thing are out there, but you have to be prepared to get your hands dirty to roll them in immediately after the reality. Took me a couple days, but it's up and operating ESXi 4.1 now like a scalded dog!

This board has almost everything and runs smooth. No difficulties I paired it with GSkill sniper 8GB kit DDR3 1333. None that I can locate make sure you get Revision 3.1 if you want to ever run Bulldozer cpu's. I ended up with Rev two.1 so I wont be upgrading to bulldozer cpu's anytime soon.

i don't in fact own this one. I have the 890FX-UD3, but have also had concerns with LAN connectivity that i got rid of. Play with your PCIE speed. Rather of Auto럼, Attempt 101-103. Then benchmark your Network lock in Win7 by disabling/ enabling your adapter and see when it functions/locks to the network the quickest. 3d rendering will be enhanced, if affected at all. How could there be any. I enjoy Gigabyte stuff. This ought to be a side-impact of overclocking somehow. I even had trouble with a affordable typical PCI slot wireless adapter i use and this exact same system fixed it. go figure. Perhaps it's why some other boards employ PCIE Spread Spectrum solution??

When I tracked down every attainable factor that coukd be bad I got it up and running. Now the laptop or computer ROCKS!!!! Fantastic transfer rates, I have an external HD enclosure with 4 1tb drives in it and the transfer rates among the onboard drives and the externals through the esata scream! The initial board I got was DOA, second board wouldn't fire up either. I contacted OCZ thinking the power provide was the challenge; they had me jumper the 24pin connector and the psu began, I reconnected every little thing 1 piece at a time and low and behold it worked!Had a conflict with the onboard rj45 connector, and the pcie. I couldn't get on the online no matter how I tried. I turned off the firewire port still nothing at all. So I put in a lan card and away we went. This is not a board for beginners, if you are not tech savy don't go with this board it demands a some what higher level of tech savyness.

I've built a lot of systems more than the past 20 years but this is the finest match up of motherboard and CPU I've ever observed. Bought as a combo deal with an AMD X6 1090T. With nothing more than the standard BIOS tweaking, everything worked seamlessly proper out of the box with other existing and new hardware. Benchmarks beat out the i7-950 based rig I built last year. Wish I'd bought it sooner!
