This is a affordable (but not cheaply created) LGA 1156 board. The bios has a lot of selections and is overall really good. The board is almost everything you'd expect from a motherboard plus the USB three. is incredibly good. -The manual is not incredibly helpful for troubleshooting. -I had the cycling power issue that numerous persons have been complaining about on this board and other LGA 1156 boards from Gigabyte. Worked like a charm considering that initial power up! Didn't even require brass standoffs, considering that the case I'm utilizing already has raised mounts for ATX mobos. I like how it has multiple ports for its on-board graphics capability (you do need to have an Intel i3 series chip with HD graphics capability although, but when buying one, it clearly states on the box whether or not it has it). At the moment, I'm working with the DVI-D with no complications. Lots of expansion slots and SATA ports for future upgrading. I also like GIGABYTE's SATA controller for two dedicated SATA ports that supports RAID (the other SATA ports are controlled by Intel's chipset)... I might make use of the RAID later on! By default, the SATA ports are in IDE mode and not AHCI... which forces you to change it upon initial boot... strange, but not sufficient to warrant a main complaint. And lastly, for some cause, [F9] does not allow me to enter into xPressRecovery2... in the manual, it says that I have to run it off the utilities CD supplied by GIGABYTE (which I did, and produced a initial backup) and then from then onward, I really should be able to use [F9] without having the CD to get into xPressRecovery2. IT DOESN'T Work... I still have to use the utilities CD and [F12] to boot off of it. Once more, not a major issue, but just plain weird unless I'm missing something. This is my first knowledge with GIGABYTE in a custom create. In the past, I've had a brand name which coincidentally came with a GIGABYTE board installed. Suitable now, I do not have any When I initial powered up the board, I got the continuous cycling of off on. I shut the machine down and reseated every thing. Has firewire and USB3 for present and future house video editing. Runs Win7-64bit OS rapidly with i3-530 and 4GB g.skill ECO RAM mentioned by the earlier reviewer. In BIOS XMP I utilized "Profile1" memory timings resulting in 1600 MHz memory and approx 3. GHz cpu. Recognized Rosewill wireless adapter instantly immediately after installing 64-bit drivers. Temperatures are really low. Wish it was mine. Instead this was a father son project for my challenging-working 15-year old son. But he did most of the assembly. This was the easiest develop so far. I genuinely like the USB on and 3. attributes of this board. It has plenty of fan ports, and Really should have been a great obtain at the 贝 I paid for it... but the CONS killed it. Cost. I had to get a psǘ keyboard to access the bios mainly because the usb ports would not function with the onboard lan enabled. I ended up having to get a pci lan card to be able to get world wide web working. Ram slots are too close to the CPU. Can not install with the cpu cooler on. Effortless to function with. Quick. superior value for the income. None This board gave the BSOD upon installing OS. Main difficulty was the hard drive. Delete the MBR if this takes place to you and attempt installing OS once more.You can contact me if you have a dilemma like I did.

don't know....would not even post, not 1 beep out of the thing. Yes I had a speaker hooked up....btw, why don't case producers provide case speakers anymore???? Is that too considerably to ask? My son purchased this in a mb/cpu/case deal from Newegg, all went together ok (yes I was a bit scared of the force necessary to close the latch on the socket), began er up, nothing. fans run, challenging drive spins, dvd flashes, but would not post. All new components in construct. Took it all apart and rebuilt thinking (hoping) possibly I missed some thing. Waiting on a new board as I type. I have an EP45-UD3P board in my box (over two years) and it works like a charm. Completely no difficulties. Set up was basic and works just fine with my i7 860, tx750w PSU, and Gtx 580 which I just upgraded to from a 4870. I have not had a single random restart or any other challenge and I use my PC too much. It won't do my homework for me.

I purchased this motherboard to work with a recently purchased i3 processor. They function wonderful together!The method runs amazing quickly, and the expandability if it is extraordinary. None so far I just wish it had than 2 USB three. slots. it advertises getting high speed ones, and even though it does, they are however only two.

USB3, lots of characteristics, but about what you'd anticipate on a board at this cost. Quick, works wonderful when it worked. Gigabyte doesn't do Advance RMA like Asus. I'm used to Asus service and having to acquire yet another board like this just to get it replaced for a customer in a timely manner truly stinks. For quick turn about on warranty service it just doesn't make sense to go with Gigabyte or any individual else that doesn't give Advance RMA. Most likely my last Gigabyte board ever until they start to offer you Advance RMA service. I purchased 2, 1 is still working fine but on the other isn't. The PC's are identical, literally identical specs down to t. 1's PCIe NIC keeps disappearing from device manager and also the sound card (also built in PCI-express) craps out. INstalled a PCI NIC and it works fine but i'm leary about the laptop or computer and so is my customer. My only possibilities for a timely replacement without any customer downtime is to order a replacement board and either RMA the dud myself and sell it, or just return the dud back to the shop I bought the new one from and omit to tell them it wasn't the very same board I just purchased. I know locations locally that will do that, but I don't want, but why a firm as large as Gigabyte doesn't do advance RMA to help folks like me willing to pay a smaller premium even is beyond me.
