Performs effectively, boots really fast. Has some incredibly good and uncomplicated OC alternatives. I also am a fan of the 2 layers of copper for heat diffusion. Board would not power on even for a second with my 24 pin 550w psu. Functions fine with my 500w PSU. I know for a fact the PSU was connected accurately and functioning. Gigabyte support thought the problem was associated to my ram defaulting to a slightly reduce voltage then what it is intended to run at. Even though I can't see the connection as to how that would switching my PSU would be related to that. I have yet to do any further testing or resolve this challenge as the board is operating fine on my old 500w PSU. So my tips, if you can't get the board to energy on at all attempt a different PSU.

Fantastic board for a fundamental performance system. USB three. and firewire onboard. Plenty of video options on board. This board ONLY SUPPORTS 1.5v MEMORY!!! This seems to be an unpublished spec. Incorrect memory voltage causes unpredictable errors and crashes which is very easily mistaken for negative memory. Be confident to use 1.5v memory. I think this is the difficulty other reviewers are possessing. Maintain in thoughts that the onboard video will only function with a CPU that has a built in GPU such as the i3 or dual core i5. Not all socket 1156 CPUs have this.
