Gigabyte MA785GM-US2H Motherboard I have been using this board with the AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition and it runs great! I have a computer shop and build and sell custom computers and I have been pushing this combo because it's a good all around machine. The Apex T-381 with the psu has been a popular choice for a computer case and the included psu is adequate for powering this. I do overclock at the customer's request and I usually do 3.5GHz and it runs cool and stable.

I ordered this processor and the MSI 790 MOBO and 2 gigs of DDR3. Runs very well. Use this primarily for gaming. Need to update vid card (8800GT) but my Aquamark went from 100,000 with FX-60 to 176,000. Using stock cooler no overclocking. Excellent processor. I buy alot of stuff from Tiger and they are the best. Usually get stuff in one day. They are the best.

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Quad Core CPU I don't know how many people are on the I7 boat but this processor i think just about runs par with the i7. Sure u can spend the 1000 for the i7 unlocked clocked processor which runs at stock 2.66ghz per core. Really for what the price is its just as comparable. It has a 2 mb L2 caches which is larger than the i7, however the L3 cache is only 6mb and the i7 tops that. So for the price and what it has its pretty amazing. Runs real smooth, put win7 pro on my comp and had somewhere round 10 programs or more running at the same time and it wasn't even sweating it. Haven't even overclocked it yet.

Gigabyte MA785GM-US2H Motherboard After having many issues in the past with many motherboard brands, i had always been shy of anything other than ASUS, they had a good track record for me. Building a PC for a family member, it came with this with a combo.. was leary at first, but grealy impressed with it. ESATA, Firewire, 6 sata connections, hdmi, 7.1 sound.. its got everything, and seems to preform very well. a great motherboard for a media center type PC.

Gigabyte MA785GM-US2H Motherboard Had a tough time trying to get this hooked up and running properly. First, from another review I read, make sure that BOTH power connectors are plugged in. Installing XP pro SP2 I would have thought that using a SATA HDD would have been easy, but I had to configure it as a IDE for whatever reason. Also, if you're installing the SATA drivers during windows install, make sure you copy them onto a floppy first. XP refused to use drivers supplied on a CD. Overall, excellent product once I got it up and running. No issues since.

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Quad Core CPU Just got this baby today, and placed on the Asus M4N78 PRO mobo. Did not take long mobo reconigized right away. Went to Asus and AMD websites to download drivers and updates. Have not had a chance to play with the overclocking. But a quad-core at 3.4 GHZ really no need to do that until I start doing some serious work to it. Runs at 31 degress C. Placed an aftermarket fan on the cpu and everything is super quiet. No grips yet

Corsair Dominator 4096MB PC8500 DDR2 Memory When the ram did run it was fast. After one month it would crash windows, memtest showed thousands of errors, RMA was easy it has a lifetime warranty. When I bought this in early July 09 it was LESS THAN HALF the price it is now (Nov 09). I paid around 120$ for 8 Gigs. Now the 4 gig price is 160$.

It blows away the Invidia on my quad core Intel board. It runs my engineering software great. I would buy another one in a heart beat!
