Gigabyte MA785GM-US2H Motherboard After 2 AMD failures on my dream system I decided to give gigabyte a try. Bios backup and bios utilities and bios options impressed me. Only difficulties were self caused by not reading far enough in the raid description. Would have liked to have at least 2 more sata ports. A simply unbelievable board for the price. Gigabyte will certainly be my board of choice for my next build.

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Quad Core CPU This is a great CPU it runs like a champ I am using it in a file server on my home network and it does a great job! AMD sure did a good job on this on. However if you want a CPU thats more speed and power i would suggest getting an i7-975 its what i use in my main PC and it spanks on this AMD CPU..

Gigabyte MA785GM-US2H Motherboard Got it together with Athlon II 245. My 10-year old son put together everything ;-) I installed OpenSuSE 11.1 x64 and it is the first mobo that alows suspend2ram without a hitch. There are a number of issues though: couldn't still convince the memory to run in ganged mode (followed the instructions and googled quite a bit), the Firewire needs a special connector that doesn't come with the board... otherwise it's a good combo for a great price.

Gigabyte MA785GM-US2H MotherboardI got this board with AMD Athlon II X2 240 CPU, Combo Deal. The only thing this board doesn't have that someone might want on HTPC is Infra Red remote support.I installed this board and CPU in an Athenatech A100BB Chassis, fit like they made for each other. I have IDE DVD drive, 1 SATA Hdd, and 1 IDE Hdd, the BIOS automatically sets IDE Hdd as Drive 0. This really is not a problem, just makes my primary SATA drive as drive D in Windows, and my secondary IDE drive is drive C. I have been using this setup connected to my Panasonic Viera Plasma TV with HDMI connection and connected to a Sony Reciever with optical audio (Toslink), for about a month now. Boots up fast, works perfectly. Mine is always on for instant use, stays cool and quiet. Thanks Again

Gigabyte MA785GM-US2H Motherboard Great bargain with tons of features. Bad part was trying to upgrade gradually. Wanted to use a 2 year old ide hdd but this board would have none of it. Bios and boot menu were no help at all - if it see's a ide device it will take at least 5 min to boot and it will always try to boot it no matter your preference setting. Wasn't a huge deal - got a new sata hdd and dvd for under 100 combined. Used an older machine to xmit files to a usb drive. Fair warning - that ide port is just for looks. Otherwise fantastic board with more options than my wallet can take. For the money this board is a steal.

Gigabyte MA785GM-US2H Motherboard Good motherboard for the money. Didn't need to update the BIOS yet. No additional graphics card needed for drawing and graphics programs. Good performance. Get an adapter for the 8 pin connector if you are using your old power supply.
