Excellent value card. Not the most recent card, but it runs Undesirable Corporation two on the highest settings at 60FPS and could most likely do far more if my monitor had a greater refresh rate. Crysis two runs on the highest settings pretty smoothly even though there are a couple of spots exactly where it gets a small sluggish, but I can't tell the difference between the different graphical preset choices anyway so just bump it down a couple settings. The card is fairly large. It must fit in any mid tower case just fine, but since I don't have a modular power supply the cables get in the way of the card a bit. But it looks like all video cards are acquiring quite significant these days...it's just been a although because I final bought one particular and they were substantially smaller sized back then! 1. Fantastic worth - for around 踰 you have a crossfire setup that will blow away any single GPU card obtainable.2. I found the fans to be fairly quiet compared to what I was expecting, no louder than my CPU or case fans. I have an empty slot amongst the two cards so this aids with airflow.three. HIS does a pretty very good job such as a dvi - vga adapter in the box (don't want 1 myself but if you want to run an old monitor as a secondary display absolutely saves a tiny cash and work) and PCI-e to molex adapters must your power provide not have sufficient. Documentation and CD is nothing wonderful but nicely presented and far better than you generally get. 1. Mine came with out of date drivers with the old style CCC which is horrendous. Easy upgrade by downloading the newest 10.4 preview CCC and drivers and everything is working great.two. Wants 2 PCI-e connectors Ɣ for Crossfire) even if your PS meets the 600W spec it may possibly not have these, despite the fact that they do supply an adapter that connects to two molex connectors. Your board will also require an more molex connector for Crossfire so it is uncomplicated to run out of connectors even if you have a 600w power provide. I employed a 750w Antec Correct Power and did not have any problems. Installed these on an ASRock P67 Extreme4 board (which I absolutely recommend considering that it has three slots in between the two pci-e 16x slots, which run 8xǞx in Crossfire - this permits for a slot between the two cards for airflow). Following updating to the most current drivers I picked up a ฤ copy of Crysis and (after patching it to version 1.21 as well) it looks definitely wonderful. I have all of the CCC settings and in game settings at max. and very high and nonetheless am operating 60+ fps at 1920 x 1080 resolution

This card performs properly in all games that I have. COD:BO, BC2, CIV5, COH. It plays them all with max setting with no a challenge. Installed the card, loaded newest drivers from AMDྫ.1), and it worked very good. The fan is quiet at sub 50% speeds, but the card idles at 58C, I like my cards to idle in the high 30s low 40s, to get it to the decrease idle temps you will need to crank the fan up. The challenge is that the fan is CRAZY loud at greater than 50% speeds. I had the identical issue with my HIS 4870. The performance is nice enhance but my 4870 ran the exact same games at max. The cause I picked this up was to be capable to use Directx 11. It does what I wanted it to do so I am pleased, but I will most likely get a unique cooler for it, maybe even try the 1 I place on my 4870. When I say crazy loud, I am not exaggerating. In automobile the fan runs at 21% 58C, if I put it to 100% it runs 42C but is so loud you cannot hold a conversation. But the automobile fan setting appears to work fine and keeps the card inside suggested min-max temps without having too substantially noise.

This card literally gave me every little thing I had hoped for out of this, for how significantly it price. Correct out of the box installed it, no BIOS update necessary, plugged the driver computer software in, and inside minutes had it up to speed. Played WoW at Ultra setting for 6 hours for raid, never dropped FPS from 60, and never saw this thing as soon as over 55 degrees Celcius. Then attempted MoH, popping someones head off under no circumstances looked so good till this card. Nonetheless below 60 degrees at all times. upgraded from a 4770 XFX, there was no cause to evaluate how significantly greater it was, it just blew me away since then. The only issue I had and not worth to drop an Egg, it had a minor clicking difficulty from the heatsink fan, my guess it need to have been knicked a slight from its precise location and made it slightly noticable, however, only solved it be upgrading to a Accelero Intense graphics cooler, and once again, a silent killer graphics card. I can't wait to set aside yet another handful of bucks to get a second and crossfire this card and by no means have to worry about something, other than fire again :PIf you're seeking for a excellent card for 200$ or so. Definately worth every penny in my book.

Upgraded from a 4870 512 mb vram and saw a 16-23 fps enhance in gaming at 1920x1200. Solidly built with a lot interest to detail and the power inputs are on the side opposite the bus, so there is no wasted space. On-board 7.1 audio also is a good feature for frequent travelers. I can see the architecture of the card generating it a little hard to clean thoroughly, but I'll have to wait and see on that. operating with core i7 940, 6gb 10666, windows 7 64 bit

Replaced my 5770 CF with this and couldn't be happier.Outstanding overall performance so far; stable as well. Pushed 70fps in Furmark at 1080pǞx MSAA/Post-FX, and never got hotter than 85C. Power draw was shockingly low taking into consideration the 2 6-pin PCIe power adapters.A steal at just over 赨. None. Great item. Rather large card, might not fit some mid-tower instances. Also the new Morphological Filtering function need to not be used outdoors of games; it blurs text in a lot of scenarios.

This card is fast! I get great fps on no matter what game i play! Max settings, on 1900x1200 resolution! I strategy on choosing up 1 more just before they determine to deactivate this item so i can run it in crossfire mode. This is a incredibly extended card and it requires 2x 6 pin pci-e connectors. Apart from that and the ATI drivers being buggy no concerns hardware-wise.

The HIS H687FT1G2M is OpenGL four.two no itchy fingers like to pop on one particular of these. but with AMDs new Bulldozer Processor just about the corner (June Release) i may wait! See pricing on AMDs cpu .funds perhaps greater invest on a NEW motherboard. A AMD3+ board and AMD Bulldozer....My MSI twin 5830 is still kicking significant &$^ in Bullstorm , Crysis2 and all your battle games, and now Portal2 is wonderful as well on very high. i cant see spending on a slightly better video card just yet.. Motherboard AM3 to AM3+ and AMD Quad 965 to the NEW AMD Bulldozer i believe requires front row on my spending budget.. just may possibly pull up on buying one of these even believed there are some gains..i rather do Processor and primary board upgrade first, and watch these variety v cards or much better shed some additional dollars!BTW Intel SandyBridge some? numerous? how a lot of? are buggy ... best read up , what a shame. They say it could cost INTEL 700 million to repair! will they man up$$? or will they pass their F up price on to you Intel fanboys? whoops?

Quickly, cheap, effortless to install. Did I mention it was quick? Requiring two 4pin energy connectors could be problematic for some pc builds. You require to make positive you not only have the necessary 500w PSU to run the card, you want to also make positive that you have 2 additional connectors to run this negative boy. I upgraded from a Radeon 5770, and I did not anticipate to see this significantly of a difference. It is undoubtedly worth the value if you meet the requirements to run this fantastic card.

Went from 2x4850's to one 6870. It was a wonderful obtain. Gets greater performance than my two card setup with out the hassle of crossfire. I will crossfire two of these in the future when its vital. This card runs awesome! Haven't overclocked it yet but I picture there is really a bit of headroom for this card that I havent even tapped into but. Had to do a fresh install mainly because when I sold my 2 4850's I forgot to uninstall the cards. Not a massive deal! 15500 3dmark score. Superb Price to Efficiency (Faster than 5850 and 470 in some tests/benchmarks - is also not a mini furnance)Runs Cool.Quiet.Energy EfficientExceptional selection for upgrading from a 4xxx series ATI or 200 series Nvidia. Refuses to cook me dinner and do the dishes. Manually setting the fan above 60% will sound like a super charged vacuum cleaner. I can't stand noise so I leave mine on Automobile...Playing BFBC2 at 1920x1200 Every thing max, does not go above 60c in a mid tower situation - so I see no need to have to manually set it(unless overclocking).

Practically the power and price of a 5870, but comes with the characteristics of the 6000 series. Morphological AA is excellent! 2XAA can appear as good as 8XAA IMO with no overall performance hit. Can't run far more than 2 cards It's not the quietest point i've had, but it is by no means loud.
