Potent and effective! Renders 3d images and runs HD resolution games no dilemma. War for Cybertron and Darksiders run flawlessly at max settings (i dont actually have a lot of other games... yet). HDMI and 2 DVI ports make connecting multiple monitors a snap. catalyst drivers downloaded and running with no difficulties. Fairly below load, some other individuals have complained about the fan noise, but it hasnt been a problem for me. Its a beefy card physically, if you have a smaller case you may not have the area for it. WEI 7.8 Rapid card coming from 9800 gt and hd 5770 WEI 7.4. Searching to CF on the next cost drop. Plastic holding the card in spot is too weak. The card broke by means of the plastic throughout shipping. Even the CD broke from it's holding spot but that was just postcard paper. Looked like it was dropped pretty hard. All is working fine no matters. 1090tfrio pnpg-skill sniper 2x4x25-m 80gighd 6870

Incredibly rapidly! Quiet card, at least in my set up. Vents air out the back of the pc. High fps. Works fine in my 2. pci-e slot on a uatx motherboard. Packaged extremely effectively. Runs with no troubles on my 650w corsair psu. It runs really cool; staying about 40-44 degrees C. Runs all my games with NO troubles whatsoever. I am getting a display issue whenever I load the crysis two demo. It loads with the display going past the viewable area of my monitor. Then when I quit the game, my desktop stays like that. When I reset my pc every thing goes back to standard. It's just annoying to have to reset my computer so significantly and not be able to play the crysis two demo. Not adequate to knock an egg off, though, because this desires to be addressed by AMD. I upgraded from an ATI radeon hd 4850 1gb, and I am getting about 20-30 a lot more fps. All my games run extremely smooth. Really impressed with the card. Only thing is this display problem I'm having that makes it so I have to reset my personal computer so usually.

Incredibly uncomplicated to install.Runs anything I throw at it. (BFBC2, Crysis, L4D2, Homefront, Black Ops)Looks wonderful.I kind of cheated with my psu. I applied two or the same 6-pin power molexes....but it operates lol.Extremely quiet. I little buzz when playing heavy hitters like BFBC2 and Crysis. Massive (hard to fit in my medium sized tower) I won't have to purchase an additional 1 for awhile :D

-HIS great costs-Straightforward box style with a nice sticker and fantastic cooling for a reference style-AMD efficiency, runs Crysis two on Hardcore settings with no a hiccup, Bulletstorm, DiRT two, Dragon Age two, you name it, max out nicely -The back of the card is bare, and can be tricky to install with no touching it-Not a con per se, as it is nicely identified when deciding on and purchasing the card, but 1GB of memory can be a small low in open world games like GTA I identified it a bit strange that it came with a blue PCB, in contrast to the pictures of it, or any physical 6870 I've ever observed, which are all black. Also there's a second sticker on the best which, once again, is not shown in the photos. Not positive if they changed it following the images had been taken, or if it was the precise batch, but it doesn't matter substantially. In fact, the blue pcb looks better against my black mobo with blue LEDs.MSI 790FX-GD70AMD Phenom II x4 965 3.4GHzHIS AMD Radeon HD 6870G.Skill 4GB DDR3 1333MHzCorsair CMPSU-650TXRosewill CHALLENGER Case

Fast and stable. It's smoothly rendered anything I've thrown at it. With this card I can run Starcraft 2 on the highest graphic settings ( My only fitting resolution is 1360 x 768, but that's mainly because of my monitor ) and it runs at 60 FPS with out a hitch.I expected to have to get two of these in Crossfire to have high graphic capabilities, but it works very properly stand-alone also. Also, this card seems to get a 7.8 out of 7.9 rating by the Windows 7 rating method. I have identified no issues with this card. I tried downloading drivers off the internet, but then it disabled my display until I uninstalled them. I suggest sticking with the drivers that come with the CD.

I purchased this as a 2nd 6870 for a crossfire setup. Card came packaged well (neweggs shipping packaging was TERRIBLE Though!!) card performs nicely and crossfire for this generation of cards is much much better then my encounter was with my crossfire setup using the 3870's... I am enjoying my 6870's alot!! :) Have nothing to say here ;) I have a 2 card crossfire setup working with 1 XFX 6870, and 1 HIS 6870.. Cards perform well together...

Switched from my 3870 HIS IceQ to this card...the only real significance I found is that I can max out the AA and greater resolution. So far card was able to run each and every game I threw at it at max settings including Fallout New Vegas, BFBC2, Just Cause 2. I also ran A 3DMARK Vantage and got 18330 score with 6870. I in no way ran it with my old 3870 though. Proper off the start off, I had the fan clicking sound from the card so I will RMA it here shortly. I want to test more with the card ahead of I ship it out...(I did pay Ű for shipping after all). Also, there had been a couple of lag spikes encountered although Playing Fallout. Temps were hitting 70 Celsius max though GPU load was 50-60%. Fan ran at about 28%. All these stats I got from GPU-Z log whilst I was in game. Also, I purchased my 3870 from a guy for ๖ and this card price me 𞴪Windows Index򎢾-7.76870-7.8Was type of hoping for full 7.9 Method specs:Phenom two 955 3.2Ghz--OC to 3.68Gigs of Mushkin DDR3--1600Mhz with 7-7-6-182 250 gig 7200RPM WD in Raid Asus 790X moboI have not tried to OC the 6870 yet and possibly wont till I RMA and get a excellent 1 with proper fan....the clicking is actually annoying.

Great card! Upgraded to this from a 512MB 4870. I can lastly max out all the settings in GTA4 (GTA4 doesn't let you if you have less than 1GB VRAM). This card is carrying out as great or superior than the 4870 did, and at a lot greater settings, so it appears like a worthwhile upgrade. Haven't had much of a opportunity to test it otherwise, played a bit of CSS and EVE, but neither are large GPU hogs.Overall the card was packaged great, card itself in great condition. It's very quiet, fan stays about 24% at idle and it downclocks to about 100MHz core and 81MHz memory when not in 3d mode, which assists maintain temps down. Power usage is also good. At about the performance of a 5850 and way less expensive, this card is an great deal! (Not to mention close to-100% Crossfire scaling in most games from what I've read!) Not too a lot to complain about. The package doesn't come with a mini-displayport to displayport adaptor, but you need to know that going in, so not a con.Only concern, and its not actually a huge one, is that in the small quantity of gaming I've done on it, the fan hasn't throttled up considerably. I feel it got up to 28% ingame. Then once again, the card didn't go above 65*C, so I'm hoping that the fan will throttle up much more when it demands to. The auto fan manage on my 4870 worked excellent, and I'm hoping this card doesn't end up being like my 8800GT's, which usually stayed at 30% unless you manually changed it. If it doesn't work to my liking, I can always manually set it, but for now it appears to be ok. Not a very balanced comparison, nor is it a incredibly relevant benchmark, but this is all I've had time for. In the CSS stress test, at 1680x1050, full eye candy, 8xMSAA and 16xAS, my three.6GHz E8400, 8800GT SLI machine averaged about 230FPS, while this rig, a Phenom II x4 920 at three.5GHz, averaged about 212 with the 4870. Same settings, with the 6870 this rig now gets 270FPS average. So lastly, I have a single-gpu that beats my 8800 SLI setup.

Great price to efficiency ratio. Effortlessly over-clocked core to more than 1000Mhz up from the stock 900. Program on grabbing a second one for X-Fire when I have some additional cash... University FTL Was not free. Essential to remember that AMD changed the naming scheme for the 6000 series of card vs the 5000 series. The 5870 replacement is the 6970 which wont be out till next month.

I had to see how out-shined my old GTS250 was in comparison. Boy was I surprised. Make sure You have a excellent PSU. Card is large, so you will have to move some HDD's out of the way. I worked and worked actually properly. This is an upgrade from an ATI 800XT on a 939 AMD Mobo. Uncomplicated to install. Wii need to have to upgrade my system to take full advantage on this card's speed, but this will buy me yet another 12 months prior to I have to upgrade this 6 year old program :) COD4 averages about 70 FPS per second and rarely drops below 40 FPS. Performance, low heat, low power usage, noise factor, dx11, excellent construct, functions, connections. As a prepurchase factor, I known as HIS tech support and they responded within 4 minutes in clear and concise English...outstanding IMHO! None encountered. Wanted a reference card/low expense upgrade til the 69xx comes out for 1 of two computers (GTX260 & ATI 4890). Went with the HIS at 239.99 becoming the superior cost. I received what appears to be a high quality built reference card with vendor's stickers and boxing.....excellent!

* Comparatively low energy draw for a high end video card (much less than the 5870)* Quiet when operating cool* It has a extremely superior wattage to rendering energy ratio * Definitely truly loud when it runs hot (set your fan to more than 50% and you will see what i mean)otherwise nothing noteworthy This card is a quite solid graphics card and at its pricepoint, its one of the finest dollar to performance ratios you can get. I'm definitely buying a different to stick in there to crossfire

Fantastic card, haven't tried to definitely tax it but but plays everything at max settings with 1920x1080 so far. Not a super big card but make sure it will fit your case. Nabbed this at a more affordable cost plus a combo deal, remarkable price v performance. It will outperform a single GTX 460 and only ranks slightly lower than a 560 Ti for a great deal much less income.
