Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250 Dual TV Tuner / Encoder 1229
Comment:
Well, these are fairly straightforward to use and can be set to record issues for later viewing. I'm new to the scene but apparently it's like a 10$ a month DVR - in a years time, it pays for itself! You can extend this to a larger HDTV..If you don't have your outlets grounded prior to you plug in the co-axial, check just before you do otherwise you can make a Very pricey mistake! I came close to doing this and now I feel considerably far better I wired and routed my outlets with an 8 gauge stranded wire :)Win7 support none

Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250 Dual TV Tuner / Encoder 1229
Cons:None with my analog cable setup.

Pros:Dual analog / digital tuners, half-height, responsiveness and image quality.
Comment:
I own two of these cards and have used this card for about a year in my principle Vista 64 MCE computer. The card has been flawless using a standard analog cable input. Highly recommended.

Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250 Dual TV Tuner / Encoder 1229
Cons:- Flakey drivers- Does not work properly in Beyond TV or WinTV/Scheduler- Conflicts with ATI 550 TV and/or Beyond TV

Pros:- Compact design- Dual analog/digital tuners- FM radio
Comment:
As with most Hauppauge hardware, the drivers and software take a year or two to catch up. Currently, this card does not allow analog watch/record or record/record in WinTV/Scheduler (Hauppauge's own software!!) or Beyond TV.With some hammering using manual installation, I got it to work in Vista 64 bit MCE. Make sure you uninstall other TV hardware and software and run HWCLEAR before you install or re-install this card.Once you get it working, it works fine. However, given its conflicts with ATI 550 TV (which was already installed in my PC), I'm no further ahead than if I had just bought a single tuner card. I had to remove the ATI card (and Beyond TV).I might give this card a higher rating once they fix the drivers and WinTV/Scheduler software.
