Its quickly, quiet, and best for a media center! Low energy and one of the new, smaller nm chips. It also comes with a intel sticker! <- Best Portion!!! It didn't come with a girlfriend. For the cost, this factor is prdy decent!

It's a lot more rapidly than my duo. I was able to push it all the way to three.2Ghz with water cooling, but it appears a lot more stable at 3.1ghz so I left it at three.1ghz. But in the finish all I wanted to do was upgrade to a quad and not have to by a new board or ddr3 memory. This should work fine for me for yet another 2 years. Multiplier is only 7X my duo CPU had 10x

Quad core LGA 775. If you have a desktop with a C2D this can be a decent upgrade. Otherwise hold out for an i5 or i7. Low multiplier couldn't get this factor more than 2.8GHZ. Should have researched better just before my acquire. Figured three.0GHZ was a gaurantee these days.

It's fantastic. Really should run every thing I want it to for a looong time. The thermal paste pre-applied to the chip did not operate for me. Straightforward adequate to fix but I didn't appreciate possessing to uninstall/reinstall immediately after the temps shot way up.. Neat.

Exceptional performance at this price point... As usual the stock intel heat sink and fan is not the greatest. It's frustrating to see a portion criticized for not competing with say the Core i7 Extreme when it is not intended to compete in that price/performance range. This is an outstanding processor for a general use laptop or computer method capable of handling light multi-tasking. For the price tag you are getting what you spend for with this processor. Effectively, that is with the exception of the stock heat sink and fan, which everybody ought to know are not identified for becoming all that good. If you are searching for a decent processor to power a general use run of the mill computer system method this processor is an excellent selection. If you are seeking for some thing you can over-clock like a mad man, there are better and superior known options.

This just arrived currently with a Pack Date of 01ቸቦ, and is the version that includes Virtualization Technologies. That actually doesn't matter to me, given that I am operating WinXP only, but some people require it.This is dedicated to running BOINC/World Community Grid, and really should at least double the output as compared to the E3200 ƒ.4GHz dual core) that it replaces. It uses about 25 watts a lot more power as measured at the plug (with a SeaSonic 80 Plus power supply), which is a incredibly affordable quantity for the raise in output. none I have used various of the stock Intel fans, and see no dilemma with them, though I do use a Dynatron P985 on my primary Computer for quiet operation. Just hold the motherboard on the back side with one hand, and push the pins in from the front side before you mount the motherboard in the case. You need to hear them snap in if you listen very carefully. I don't overclock, and it cools well sufficient for that objective.

Good CPU for any needs. Why spend a lot more if this 1 is lots for daily user! Heat Sink is the similar as on every Intel from Dual to Quad core and it does not cool as effectively as an immediately after-industry ones. get a far better cooling and you are in organization.

Thid quad core runs circles around the Celeron D three.two GHZ processor it replaced in my son' s Computer. Very excellent at on-line games. Installation was effortless and I had no problems installing the stock Intel heatsink/ fan (the plastic pins all locked into the holes in the mobo on the 1st attempt, while they have been tricky to lock in in the course of earlier method builds. CPU runs cool ࿈- 40C). Does ewhat it's supposed to do. Similiar to a earlier reviewer, it only appears to be operating at two GHZ when set for 2.five GHZ. Also, I can't overclock it with the Gigabyte GA-41 mobo I installed it on (I've read since it already runs at 1333 FSB some boards may possibly not let you overclock it considerably more rapidly). I'm pleased wth this processor and hope to get four- 5 years of use out of this method

Quad cores for only 150 bucks (at time of writing). Truly helped frame rate on Poor Corporation 2 and Mass Impact two more than my old Core 2 Duo E6600 (at least doubled it on both!). L2 cache is smaller sized than some of the greater Q-models. Some motherboards may possibly need a firmware update to perform. Not the highest rated speed out there. The a single I have came with VT-x, going by CPU-Z. I'm employing the stock cooler with artic silver five and obtaining about 102* F idle and 𞲲-135 full load going by RealTemp. Even though the HSF is shorter than my E6600's was, it appears to run slightly cooler. Possibly simply because it's a 45nm whereas the E6600 is 65nm. Nevertheless recommend going with some Artic Silver five to get the temps down a bit far more.If you can afford it, you may possibly want to attempt and get a faster core two quad with larger L2, but if you are seeking for a low-price way to enter the quad-core world, this one does well for itself.Method Specs:Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300Asus P5N-E SLi (nForce 650i SLi chipsetƜx1gig Corsair XMS2 DDR2-6400896mb eVGA GeForce GTX 260 Core 216

Quad cores There are two versions of this CPU. You will not know which one you are getting till it is too late. I took off 1 egg because NewEgg does not indicate there are two versions. I checked this CPU on Intel's site to see if it supported Virtualization Technologies and it definitely does. Picture my surprise when it arrived and I discovered out that it does not. Investigation into this show that there are two versions of the Q8300 CPU. One that does support VT and 1 that does not.My recommendation is to not purchase this CPU, but to acquire the Q9400 instead. It is only บ a lot more, it supports VT and is faster.

Let's see 1333 FSB, 2.5 Ghz, and above all incredibly cool. It idles at 32C and 42C on full load in a fairly warm room. I've heard it doesn't overclock quite nicely, but I managed to get it to 3.01 Ghz with a uncomplicated FSB raise. Wish it spoke to me and comforted me when I didn't have any sammiches to eat. :( Surprisingly, mine was 1 of the couple of that does support VT so its a major plus, wish it had a bit far more of L2 cache, but so far that doesn't to be affecting efficiency at all. As soon as a lot more Newegg has excellent shipping and awesome costs. :)

Runs quick, excellent price. Possibly incompatible with specific motherboards Bought this as an upgrade, had some serious concerns at initially. But I forgot the vital step ... UPDATE YOUR BIOS just before you put this in. It'll save you a factor of thermal paste.
