Quickly, high 5-six Score in WEI windows 7 Clips on the heatsink suck...You must buy thermal paste. it comes with pre applied compound that is significantly less than high quality had to reapply the thermal paste and get the clips in just best for it to remain steady and cool.

These have been my 1st selection in CPU's for over a year now. They have ridiculous bang for the buck as far as information crunch is concerned. Not as powerful as the new I series. These may well be dated as far as technology is concerned but they're still a really serious performer ad for 150 dollars they're really hard to beat. If a limited price range is the challenge this CPU and a one hundred dollar motherboard (ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI) can get you going for around 500 dollars with the price of Win7 incorporated.

Good, solid performer, even though certainly nowhere near the overall performance (or price!) of a 9 series. Clocked to three.52 GHZ stable ࿗C load), which is apparently pretty higher for this processor. Guess I got a excellent one. See other comments for how I got to 3.52. Why is this nonetheless this high-priced? Got for ~贝 on eebaye For these of you who want to know how I got to three.52, i'm running a Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P ver 1.6 on the latest steady BIOS (cant keep in mind off the prime of my head). Clock handle at 470, multi at 7.5, and i'll leave the rest up to you :) hint: bumped vcore and nb a couple notches. Also with OCZ Gold DDR2-800 2x2 ƒ.1v) and a Xigmatek S1283.

Completely fabulous processor. over clocked it to three.four ghz no problem.. has worked like a charm for me. wonderful price tag and no challenges. one factor that could have been far better is that it would be significantly better if it would be able to overclock larger. i could only get it to 3.4 and my cooler can deal with way over four. ghz so im pondering i should just have payed a tiny more and gotten 1 of the newer cpu's.. but thats not worth taking an egg off due to the fact that was my fault in not researching this stuff before acquiring it..

Decent Intel processorperforms as properly as q9300 For the value it's decent, but it's not the very best expense/speed ratio compared to other processors out there.I am really shocked that this processor nevertheless maintains it's price at 149. I bought it about 140 a year ago.q6600 are far better for overclocking, In comparison to other CPUS, this is overpriced.the 1090t comes at 赨, most black edition AMD cpus price less and execute superior. If your going for budget (>躔) AMD is the way to go, something additional Intel is much better.AMD mobos are less expensive

Incredibly rapid, runs cools and simply overclocks to three. GHz by rising FSB to 400 Hz. None Upgraded from an E8400 due to problems running COD Black Ops with dual core processors (lagging and freezing). With this processor the game runs ultra-smooth so if you're getting the same issues this CPU will fix the dilemma. Running this CPU OC to three. GHz with a pair of SLI GTX460SCs. Black Ops res set at 1900x1200 (all max settings) and it runs as smooth as silk. Couldn't be happier.

Runs stably @ .928V undervolt with temperatures at around 41C at load on a Gigabyte GA-EP45T-USB3P w/ Scythe Infinity Cooler with 1200rpm Gentle Typhoon fan in Lian Li Computer-A05N. I want Intel had a reduce voltage quad core in this cost variety. Though...I can run this processor at 2GHz, undervolted, and get to exactly where I want to be power consumption wise, albeit not performance wise. The chip was shipped sometime final week Ɣቨ?) and supports virtualization for those who are wonderfing. This is utilized in a HTPC, undervolted, along with a Radeon 5770 connected to a Pioneer Kuro. I am attempting to replace in functionality my AppleTV/Drobo mixture due to the fact the AppleTV struggles to playback videos ripped from Bluray/HDDVD and the Drobo was slow over USB2. Time will tell how well the ICH10R will play with my 1.5TB Seagate 7200.11 drives (of which I have four in a RAID five config)...but that has practically nothing to do with this processor.

In the face of high ambient temperatures, this processor remains faithful. Had to RMA this for a replacement, but that was due to a one-in-a-million manufacturer glitch. We don't have air conditioners right here, mainly because we don't will need them for most of the year. On the 4 or five days out of the year exactly where we get a 90 degree day and the persons shut down, this processor didn't even flinch whilst undertaking heavy video encoding. Due to spending budget limitations, I only use air cooling on the machine, but I'm glad that it was enough to retain points steady. When I initially received the processor, it didn't perform appropriately in the motherboard. However, it didn't merely error out completely. I went by way of a number of hardware iterations ahead of realizing that I'm possibly 1 of the few people who has ever received an "off kilter" processor from Intel. Newegg replaced the processor speedily and with no hassle, and I'm running smoothly now.

I had a new Motherboard with LGA775 and ultimately got about to constructing a residence server. I have Quad Cores in all my computer systems, completely loved the Q6600 which they don't make any longer. But in this case, this Q8300 is a great replacement for that processor. I hugely advise this just as I did the Q6600. NONE This went on a Gigabyte EP45-UDL3 with Win 7 x64 OS. Runs really effectively, extremely stable. Though this isn't an i-core, and somewhat older laptop stuff. I can inform this laptop will be running a extended long time. Super trusted, super stable. And doesn't suck a lot of energy or get warm which is fantastic as I have this in a closet.

Low-cost priced Quad-core! Nice freamerate boost with gaming(pairs nicely with my Crossfire'd HD4670s), and excellent for Blu-ray films. Runs under rated clockspeed. It appears to constantly run each core at 2GHz, rather than the marketed two.5 (even when below heavy load even though gaming[Flight simulator X takes up all cores at 85-100% utilization]) Intel's Energy save mode is disabled on my board so I'm not positive why it's not reaching the appropriate speed... I also don't notice much of an enviromental operating speed upgrade compared to my Cedar Mill P4 (It nevertheless requires ages to load my XP profile.)

4 cores, virtualization assistance, quickly. Smallest cache of the Yorkfields. Not as price successful as a Wolfdale celeron, but if you want the further two cores .. If you seriously want an cost-effective quad on a 775 board, this is the way to go.

Contact me old fashioned, but I enjoy the LGA775 platform and this CPU. I got this for my new gaming rig and i nevertheless get 50 to 60 fps on my guys with HD 5770. i7 in my opinion is overkill and this cpu is fantastic. I have it operating at @ 2.85 Ghz steady with Corsair H50 cooler and I cannot come across anything undesirable about it. Temps under load is 48 to 50 typical and idle at 39 to 40 typical. Operating to lower those with some tweaks. However, I disabled power. None I really like this CPU. Nicely worth its funds is building a rig to play present games.

Popped into an ASUS micro board simply. Does what it is suppose to do. Rapidly quick rapidly! Worked as anticipated. Newegg got it right here in 3 days! Nice job Newegg! Stock heatsink isn't the greatest if you strategy on seriously kicking this thing into higher gear. It looks like it would function fine for the average Pc user, but for demanding apps I'm sure it wouldn't cool as efficiently as an aftermarket cooler. I utilised the Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro 7 heatsink for this CPU. It idles at 31 C and maxed at 39 C. Great! Cool running CPU with lots of power! I personal a Q6600 quad core and despite the 4MB L2 Cache with this processor, I really don't see a major difference in functionality. I don't overclock so I cant say what it can or cant do in that department, but this processor is a lot (if not far more than necessary) for most moderate Pc customers.

decent cost, performs properly low multiplier the low multiplier indicates its harder to get a fantastic OC, while i bought a terrible oc board, P43 chipset. most OC web sites says it can be simply OC'ed to around 3.2GHz, but my mobo cant even boot into windows at three.0GHz 鷐 fsb).
